Racing into the chamber I moved my "fig", she howls and flings a dagger toward the chest wound and pulls her magical blades.

The eyes of the impossibly obese man grow wide with fear moments before Jessamy flings her dagger at him. Unfortunately, the short blade digs into the folds of Jordandus's flesh to little effect.

There's nothing about Jordandus or his freakish swollen black heart that Ensu recognizes but the viscous colored liquids streaming from the pipes surrounding the room do jog a memory. He believes the liquids to be various elemental bodily humors, impossibly quantities of them. If Jordandus has been living off of these fluids, destroying them would weaken him...

I don't know that we ever figured out exactly what spells Ensu would prep. I can look into that when I get home...

Ensue moves into the room, not wanting to stand in a straight line in case the creature casts spells, and readies himself to counter any magic Jordanus might bring to bear.

Almost immediately Ensu springs into action combating the obese man as he begins a spell of his own. Unfortunately, Jormandus's arcane might quickly overpowers the gnome foiling his attempt at a counterspell.

From the corners of the room, the puddles of bodily fluids suddenly lurch to life! The enormous blobs of blood, phlem, and bile ooze toward the party promising a slimy end to anyone that gets within their reach.

"Jess, get out of there!" he calls, before turning and applying his sword to the monster threatening Ensu. Probably provoke while moving up, unless they're flat-footed. That'd be cool.

"Eeep!" Ensu eeps as he realizes his proximity to one of the creatures, which he assumes is some sort of elemental.

Dang it! I was going to cast a different spell and looked that up to see it was a full round casting time. Since that's the case, if you're willing, I'd rather do insect plague, with all four on top of Jormandus, basically creating a 40-x-40-ft. square.

No saves are necessary if the attacks didn't hit. The retconned barkskin is fine.

Jessamy viciously hacks the animated puddle of blood sending splatters in every direction. When she's done the unnatural thing quivers in distress until Pirknok finishes it off with a violent flourish. The dwarf quickly turns his wrath on the nearer bone devil smashing it to bits too.

Krojun hacks at his opponent but doesn't do enough to bring it down. The devil strikes back at the howling Thundercaller.

Pirknok and Krojun hack at the remaining devilish guardian but don't enough damage to bring the bony fiend down.

I'm not sure if I qualify for sneak attacks here. Per the rules: "The rogue's attack deals extra damage anytime ... the rogue flanks her target. Gang Up says "You are considered to be flanking an opponent if at least two of your allies are threatening that opponent, regardless of your actual positioning." Nothing says I have to be in melee to take advantage of Gang Up, so ... maybe?
