The hunters lower their weapons. The first man speaks again. "Well if your hear to help we can let you into town. It's a big corpse. Gonnna have to work to drag it the rest of the way."
He steps back and gestures to a recently killed Allosaurus. The Grippli speaks *Croak* It's a dang big one an good for days of food an it's hide an bone will sell for good money. Was a lot of work to kill the dang thing though.*Croak*
The three hunter set up a pull harness and prepare to start dragging the corpse. They have three extra harnesses for three members of your party to use. The first man speaks up. "Kay, we can have up to three other pullers. Set your strongest companions on the job. The rest of you should keep an eye out for other predators"
Select three members of your party to pull and they need to make three strength checks.
Then the rest of you are on lookout. Given the circumstances, it will be very difficult to outright avoid combat. The least you can do is determine through the use of perception and knowledge Nature whether or not to fight or flee.
Felixian One-Eared
Strongest people... Should we do myself, the tiger, and Shilara? Or should we keep our most perceptive people on lookout?

Nyxalia
I did have rolls, but then noticed Shanosuke's message in the Discussion thread. I will add the rolls shortly once I have decided which Nyx would prefer to do.
Nyxalia
I step forwards out of the brush and wave to the 3 hunters, although my gaze falls on the frog-man for a little while longer. "Hi, I'll pull the wagon with you. I do a lot of climbing, so should be strong enough to pull this with you."
With that I pick up the harness and slip it over my head, then get ready to pull with everyone else. Then look to Felixian as if to say, "My logic makes sense and you can climb, come on."

Thank you for complying with my request. In the future please RP any discussion on tasks and don't make "if" rolls please. Thank you.
The First man grunts. "There sure is a lot of you fellas. Welp. Lets get this feast home."
You all begin to drag the carcass along. The pace is reasonable, definitely better than if it was just the three of them.
You are about halfway to the town when the lookouts in the party spot a pack of Raptors moving in on your group.
Thanks to the attentive lookouts you all have one round to prep before combat really begins. You can drop the harnesses and draw weapons. You can also buff as long as you can do all that in one round.
Let me know when you are ready.
RP any discussion between each other please.
The Raptors are circling. They will be coming in from both sides and there are at least twice as many as there were from the last time you fought them.
Nyxalia
Will do.
Upon hearing that we have Raptor company again I quickly slide out of my harness and stand beside Felixian, hands up and ready for combat. "The usual tactic brother?"
Thanquol
Thanqoul sighs as he hears about the raptors. He takes off the harness, and casts a spell that doesn't seem to do anything, but Thanqoul seems a little more confident in his defenses now.
Casting mage armor. Duration 2 hours. Ac is now 16
Thanqoul also calls out a warning to the huntsmen.
"Get ready for a fight. Try to prevent them from flanking you."
Felixian One-Eared
@GM: Will do
Felixian quickly removes his harness and takes a defensive posture beside Nyx. "Of course, sis. But be careful not to get overwhelmed; it sounds like there's a lot of them." He scans quickly for Shilara. "Get behind us! We'll do our best to keep them off you. Shoot any that attack Thanquol or our new friends." He gestures at the villagers.
Fighting Defensively, so AC is currently 19.
Shilara
Shilara looks at the raptors. "They're looking for food. There is food right here. Why don't we leave the meat and get out of here?" She looks at the others questioningly, but gets behind them just in case they don't like her suggestion.
Rishkarri
The drid shrugs, growls an order to her companion, then draws her scimitar, watching.
If I can start casting summon nature's ally as well, I'll do so.
Shanosuke
Ah excellent. We are ready to move on.
One of the hunters looks angrily at Shilara. "Coward! Out here we fight for our food! If you are so scared then go find a cave to hide in and starve to death!" He seems very offended at the thought of abandoning their hard earned kill.
COMBAT ROUND ONE BEGINS
You all took your readiness actions and the raptors begin to move in.
There are twelve of them and you all happen to have the initiative on them.
The hunters go first having dropped their harnesses and draw their bows. They each fire shots at the Raptors and surprisingly they on score hits.
The Rapters will be charging on their turn. They are thirty feet away from each of you. It is your turns.
Once you have all gone, the Raptors will go.
@Thanquol: You have your mage armor up but you can now take another turn.
@Rishkarri: At the start of this round your summmon appears and you can now take your turn and the actions of what you have summoned as well.
Nyxalia
I glance to Felxian quickly before looking at the Raptors, "Brother, now or wait?"
Once Felixian answers I shall post my actions.
Thanquol
Thanqoul begins to speak in a dark and foreboding tone before a green ray lights up from his hand and hurtles towards the first raptor.
Casting Ray of Enfeeblement at nearest raptor. DC 16 Fort save for half.

Felixian One-Eared
"Let them come to us. With this carcass at our backs, it'll be difficult for them to surround us. Just be ready to strike swiftly."

@GM: due to the number of combatants, will there be a map for this fight?

I nod at my brother and take a position ready to attack.
Same as Felix, get ready to attack the first raptor that comes within range.

For a second I thought you all were waiting on me and then I noticed Rishkarri hadn't posted what she summoned or taken her action for this round. I'll wait til later this evening but I will have to post then because with the holiday season up, I will be tired quite often.
Rishkarri, actions please
Shanosuke
I wish I could put out a map for this fight but I do not have the time to build it. I generally try and assemble maps for indoor encounters anyways.
I am going to have to execute Rishkarri's actions for her.
Round One Results
Rishkarri finishes summon natures ally and produces a dog. Best choice in my opinion. Nothing like a faithful dog to do your bidding. It readies to attack the nearest Raptor.
The hunters begin loosing arrows displaying skills that far outweigh your own at the moment. Two Raptors drop in the initial volley.
The raptors have surrounded you all and move in for the kill. You each at least get one attacker on you, Hunters included. One hunter gets two and there is one for Rishkarri and one for Razorclaw.
Before they approach Shilara is able to wound one. They move in and the Cat siblings get their actions and score successful hits each.
Razorclaw and the dog are beating on the Raptor in front of them and Rishkarri scores a hit against her raptor with a readied attack.
The Raptors attack,
Felixian - One Raptor attacks you and hits you with a single Talon for 4 points of damage.
Nyx - One scores a bite and a Talon hit on for 6 total damage.
Rishikarri - She takes a hit from a talon and a foreclaw for 5 total damage. Razorclaw is attack and hit by both talons for 10 points of damage
Thanquol - You feebled the raptor attack you successfully and actually do not get hit.
Shilara - One Raptor slips past the defenses Acrobatics to avoid AoO and goes after you hitting with a talon and a bite as well dealing 7 points of damage.
Round two begins
I am sorry for no map but I will explain this as best I can.
The raptors are on either side of your group, five on each side. Because of the allosaurus corpse and your layout, there are no immediate available flanks for either side.
Felixian and would each have to five foot to flank one but you both have each got your own raptor to worry about. If you flank with each other, one of you will be flanked in turn by two raptors.
Shilara has room to five foot.
Your group is only fighting six of the ten remaining raptors and most of them are hurt.
Your turns.

Felixian grunts in pain but continues slashing away at his opponent.

Damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Rend Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5 If both hit
Nyxalia
I let out a little cry of pain as the teeth wrap around my leg and the claws scrape across my arm, leaving marks of both. Noticing that I won't be able to assist Felixian as well as usual I slash out at the raptor in front of me.
Claw Attack 1 : 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Claw Attack 2 : 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Claw Damage 2 : 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
It is clear that I am better suited to fighting with Felixian and I on opposite sides of the creature, but at least I manage to scratch the raptor even if it doesn't hurt it that much.
Thanquol
Thanqoul pulls out a weapon, and swings at the raptor.
Move pull out quaterstaff. Standard attack raptor.

The Druid snarls, swinging her blade at the raptor.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13, damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
The leopard and the dog, meanwhile, continue attempting to give the other raptor merry hell.

Round Two Results
Some damage is dealt to the raptors by your team,
The Hunters seem to be doing really well almost as if they favor this kind of enemy. They also seem far stronger than you may have first anticipated. They are doing major damage to their foes.
The raptors attack each of you.
Rishkarri and Razorclaw: Karri takes 5 damage and Razor claw takes 7
Shilara: The raptor presses you but misses completely.
Nyx: You take 4 damage
Felix: You take a nasty 8 damage
Thanquol: You take 2 damage.
No raptors went down this round but each of them has been damaged except for the one attacking Thaquol
Round 3 Begin

Shilara
5 foot step back, point blank, favored enemy
Shilara steps back again and lets another arrow fly at the raptor. "Just die already!"
Attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27

I hiss as the Raptor pierces my skin again and retaliate with claws of my own.

Claw Damage 2 : 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Critical Damage : 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
WOW! Critical and then confirmed ... for minimum damage!
Rishkarri
Rishkarri hisses in annoyance, clutching at her wounded arm. Thankfully, it isn't her strong one, and she whips her scimitar around in a hissing arc at her foe. After doing so, she shifts herself away from the raptor, drawing a potion from a pouch on her belt.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11, damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
The leopard at her side is in a bad way - moreso now that the dog has vanished back into the essence of the wilds. Battered and bleeding, he backs away from the raptor, attempting to hide behind the cart.
Rishkarri takes a standard action to attack, a free to 5-foot shift away, and a move to retrieve a stored item (potion of CLW). Razorclaw takes a full-round action to withdraw.
Thanquol
Thanqoul grimaces but shows nothing else as he feels the raptor's claw. He retaliates by swinging his quaterstaff once more at its head.
Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Shanosuke
Round Three Results.
Bad round for spell casters today it seems.
Good Round for the cats though.
Felix's raptor flees in panic as does Shilara's
Nyx's raptor is wounded but stays.
The hunters dispatch two raptors and the third flees.
P.S. There is no cart. You all are dragging the carcass on the ground with ropes and makeshift harnesses.
Razorclaw withdraws behind the allosaur carcass and leaving Rishkarri alone with the two raptors.
Rishkarri - You are flanked by the two raptors now and take 9 points of damage between both of them.
Thanquol - You take 5 points of damage
Nyx - You take 3 damage from one attack.
Round 4 Begins
There are four raptors left. One on Nyx, one on Thanquol, and two on Rishkarri.
The hunters will be moving to aid you all this round so the battle is definitely in your favor. Now it's just seeing if anyone drops in this last round.
Your turns.
Felixian One-Eared
Felixian moves to flank Nyx's raptor. IIRC, I can 5ft step to reach it, but if not, ignore my second attack/rend. :-)
Acrobatics to avoid AoO (if necessary): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
Damage: 1d4 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Attack 2: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
Damage: 1d4 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Rend Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2 if both claws hit
If a raptor hits me this round (either through an AoO or an attack), I'm going to use my Black Cat ability.
Nyxalia
I hiss at the raptor again but grin when I see Felix move in to our usual fighting posture. I slash out with both of my claws while the beast is distracted with him.
Claw Attack 1 : 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 6 + 2 = 17
Claw Attack 2 : 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 6 + 2 = 20
Claw Damage 1 : 1d6 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 + 1 = 4
Claw Damage 2 : 1d6 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 + 1 = 4
Sneak Damage 1 : 1d6 ⇒ 4
Sneak Damage 2 : 1d6 ⇒ 4
All those 4's!
Shilara
Shilara Aims at one of the raptors attacking the druid. "Die foul beast!"
Point blank, favored enemy
attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28
damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
She smirks as the raptor is struck, readying to nock her next arrow.
Thanquol
Thanqoul seeing that the others are having far more luck in their attacks decides to just save himself for now.
Going total defense so AC is 20 for this round. HP is now 9
Rishkarri
Ack, sorry. Forgetfulness on my part. Doesn't matter too much I guess; Razorclaw's just trying to save his hide.
The druid sees herself running out of options. Raptors on both sides, Razorclaw fleeing... she weaves nimbly to one side, positioning herself away from one, and next to the one the snake-woman had struck with an arrow, slashing at it with her scimitar.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8, damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
5-foot shift out of flanking - trying to position herself next to one raptor, and in a position where the other can't shift to flank her.
Shanosuke
Round Four Results
Shilara, I assumes attempts to help Rishkarri by shooting the raptor she left melee with. It takes a good hit.
The Hunters race to your aids and take the heat off of Rishkarri by engaging the two raptors she was fighting.
They do considerable damage but don't quite drop any. They look like they could fall easy though.
The laster raptor presses it's attack on Thanuol but even with a volley of attacks, it misses completely.
The other two raptors cannot escape without provoking so they go all out on the three hunters. Only one raptor manages to hit but the hunter seems unphased by it.
Round Five Begin
Three raptors left. The hunters will destroy the two they are fighting and with all of you ganging the one on Thanquol, you pretty much win.
Combat Over
The hunters look around pleased with their work. "Excellent!" The one man states. "Now we have more prizes for the pile. Might need another person on pulling duty."
They begin to pile the bodies of the slain raptors on the allosaur carcass.
The Grippli walks up to you group and hands out ten potions of cure moderate wounds. *Croak*"Here, you earned this."*Croak* "Now drink up and let's get back to town."*croak* Once he is handed them out to you, he goes to help his fellow hunters tie down the raptor bodies.
Nyxalia
I take a couple of the vials taken and store 1 in my bag, the other I unstop the cork and drink the contents. I swallow it with a big gulp and screw up my face a bit, "Eurgh! Tastes nasty ... but I feel better." I look at my hand as I pull the now empty vial away and watch the wounds knit themselves together until they are mostly gone.
Cure Moderate Wounds (Via Potion) : 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (2, 5) + 3 = 10
I then get back to my harness and slip myself in, getting ready to help with pulling again once everyone else is ready to go again.
Thanquol
Thanqoul takes his one and takes a long drink from it.
CMW: 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (1, 8) + 3 = 12
"Same pullers as before with maybe Rishkarri helping if we need a fourth."
Thanqoul puts on his harness and gets ready for pulling.
Felixian One-Eared
Felixian drinks one of his potions, checks to make sure everyone's okay, and reattaches his harness in preparation for more pulling.
CMW: 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (5, 3) + 3 = 11
Rishkarri
The druid takes her potions, immediately chugging one. She slips her less potent potion back into her pouch, nodding her thanks to the strange frog-man as her wounds start to close over.
CMW: 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (6, 7) + 3 = 16
Tucking one of the remaining potions away for later use, she whistles shrilly to her animal companion, who limps out from behind the pile of bodies. She pulls the cork, grips the neck of the flask in her teeth, and pours it into her cupped hands, crouching so that the leopard can drink. The cat does so gratefully, rubbing his head against her empty hands when finished. Rishkarri looks him over, frowns at his fur still matted with blood, and in a gentle voice, breathes the words of a healing spell, closing all but the most stubborn small cuts.
CMW: 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (7, 6) + 3 = 16
CLW: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
That done, she purrs to the beast, scratches him around the ears, and stands, pulling on a harness. The jungle has made her strong, but the harness makes her feel like a bound animal, and her agitation is apparent.
