Time passes slowly on sentry duty. So far all is quiet. A griffin rider flies by and tells you that your shift is almost over and that the elders have decided to seek out and rid the area of the skulks as a priority. As the griffin flies off it is soon intercepted by some bat like creature that seems to have appeared from a crack in the rocky ceiling. It is in ballista range, but it will be a hard shot to avoid the entangled griffin.

"Basilisk" Jack Bumpo |

Bringing the musket to his cheek Jack knows the shot will difficult, but digs deep and steadies his aim. Holding his breath at the top of its cycle he fires.
Deadeye -1 grit, Steady Aim increase range increments by 10'
Musket 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24 DMG 1d12 ⇒ 1
Make adjustments for range and firing into a melee. Atk v. Touch AC out to 100'

Gregory Leichardt |

Gregory takes careful aim through the ballista's sight, and lets loose a bolt at the bat with a satisfying 'click'.
Ballista: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17, for 3d8 ⇒ (6, 1, 6) = 13 damage.
I took the damage dice from the 'siege engines' part of the d20pfsrd. Let me know if that was wrong...

Finder of Stones |

That's fine Gregory it looks right. I was about to look It up in my copy of UC but we will go with that.
The heavy ballista bolt crashes into the grappled bat-creature, barley missing the Griffin rider. The rider takes the opportunity to plunge a lance into the creature's mouth. It falls to the ground, right out side the tower's ground entrance. The griffin rider blows a whistle and soon all of the griffin riders in the area converge and do a check of the ceiling in the area the bat-creature appeared from.
Looks like that was the only one. These Mobats are usually smarter, but I think they are desperate for food as the constructs have taken over the surface. Finder mentions as your relief arrives. Let's get some rest, it sounds like we will be raiding the Skulks tomorrow.

In giving the others time to respond I neglected you two, Sizerox and Gregory, and I am sorry. I am running two other campaigns and I forgot about this one since there was no activity and I am sorry.I have need of one player in my Mythic Runelords campaign(a Heirophant) and another player in my Red Blessing campaign(Arcane caster or healer) both of which seem to be going strong. If you want look into them and see if they are something you would be interested in I will take you into them. I think I will let this campaign retire for now, and I apologize for my negligence I tried to handle too many at once I think, but it was a learning experience for sure.

The Mythic Playtest introduced something called Mythic Tiers. The playtest can be found on this website free. With those tiers you pick a general archetype, Heirophant is one. What I did to incorporate Mythic Tiers into Rise of the Runelords was to make them associated to Harrow deck cards and have the players be part of a reading in the beginning that sort of introduces them as being "fated" by the stars they were born from.
The other campaign is Red Blessing, it takes place in the Mana Wastes, and involves political intrigue. I will post some links.
