As crazy as it sounds, it sounds to me like the GM means +1 (effect) weapon. Might be wrong here.
I would just think to hand a lvl 1 a vorpal weapon is slightly... well I think Krallek has the right of this

Elon is right, you have a +1 weapon and you may add any ONE enchantment you want to it. be that enchantment +1, +5 or +silly amount. Vorpal etc is fine but Flaming Vorpal is not for example.
I know what I am doing, just so you guys know you are coming across things that are sent by a god, or possibly the god itself. (trying not to give to much away) so two things will get you through this, smarts and teamwork. So when those fail you will have a weapon to fall back on. Take note the weapon may not always be useful. More will be explained by Mr Graves when he gives them to you. I wouldn't just give you a hugely powerful weapon at level 1 with no draw backs guys. AS much as, as a player I have always wanted that lol
Was wondering if I could get a rod or something else instead, weapons aren't really my thing. If not, I need to know whether or not Spell Storing works with ranged weapons. From what I read, I doubt it will but figured I'd ask people that probably know more than me.
If you wish to have Graves make you an enchanted ranged weapon you can Galcia, the spell storing is fine, It will be fluffed that you get a quiver or equivalent ammo storage device that enchants the ammo when it is put in side it. So you may buy normal ammo etc and the spell storing comes from the quiver.
There would still be the same proviso that the others would get on their weapons, which you will know more about when graves gives them to you and will make much more sense.

Well, if possible I'd like to upgrade that flaming longspear to flaming burst longspear.
You say that, its not like I can use it well until a higher level (don't have exotic weapon training, yet). So, I can fire loads of bolts, but a low amount would hit.

Hmm ok. Need to think. I would have the same problem with the quarter staff and the double sword then, i.e. that only one of them would be amazing. At which point it might just be easier to go with a single weapon...

I believe it has something to do with the fact that in one of the pages of Sybil's diary that they got/stole, it says he had a weird smile, or something like that, along with some other weird things, thus making it seem like he is the person who kidnapped Eliana.

Between you all, you have more information than I expected you to get this early in the game, so you guys are playing very well. The only thing I would say is perhaps communicate more with each other, either IC or OC. Team work may save your PC's on occasions. This is a game of smarts and brawn, take full advantage of both.
