the skeleton line is about 200ft away, the skum line is 400ft away. Mindflayers don't dislike non-mindflayer undead, since they are useful tools that can be influenced with magic (command undead, turn undead, ect) but have immunites, no needs or inhibitions, all useful to any mindflayer

The forces of the Aboleths finally crash into the skeletal line, what should be a massacre of the undead though turns out to be quite the opposite, the Skum and Shaguaren keep getting slaughtered, some of those that die rise up as zombies and start fighting off their old comrades.
