I do not have an exact date to kick off, but will be doing so in a staggered manner so that I don't have all three tables blowing up at once! Thank you for your patience.. we will get rolling soon!

Anyone know what class you are bringing? I have got a couple ideas floating around for new characters but nothing nailed down quite yet.

I'm bringing a melee druid.

Profession(Natural Historian): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

I've got a dwarf who is a classic axe and shield fighter type that just needs a few finishing touches for PBP use (haven't done the stat line yet), or I could create a traditional support type cleric (Luck and Travel domains, or Luck and Good).

I could do either, but like I said the fighter is almost ready to go.

I'm most likely to introduce either a Ranger, Bloodrager, or Oracle.

Sounds like we could use arcane support and possibly a little more divine power. Probably skills/face too?

Maybe I will work on a bard. Never really played one before.

Suppose I wanted to suddenly swap out Heraclitus for a Kineticist I've just made (since this party's already got one Ifrit Oracle)? May I? Could I keep the above Day Job roll (the roll, that is, not the modifier)?

I don't think everyone has to make a Survival check, do they? Egads, I hope not.

DC 15 survival is a really rough DC on a party of Lvl 1's, but yes. The scenario states that everyone has to make the DC, and for every fail, it sets the group behind on the timeline by three hours. However, I have always granted circumstantial bonuses and helped out so that things didn't stall out right here.. I even allowed one whole table to reroll after no one could roll higher than a 10! But, (and keep this in mind for this entire arc..) The better the RP and the more that yall think outside the box, the more willing I am to grant these bonuses and bend things a bit if yall are having difficulties.

I will have a post up shortly that will address this. Busy night at work and posting in between issues right now. Once things settle, I will be back.

By the way, DM, what does Janira say in response to Black Sun's introduction back at the Pig's Paunch? :)

I shall have to keep an extra eye on that one...

It took all week for me to get caught up in all my games and now a sudden death in the family has me traveling up north tomorrow (thurs), a funeral on friday and driving home on saturday - This time I will have my computer with me but posting will probably only at night, same with sunday as I'll be at the oscars til late. sorry for any delays in gaming, but I should be back to normal daily posting on monday.

I will be travelling later today and also tomorrow for some Dr. appointments with the wifey. I will post as I am able to and will try to keep up, but she takes priority!

It's actually a penalty when attacking a prone target from range (though I still hit).

GM DD - I think you did a great job... Loved your color text during combat, you made the outcomes of every action come alive, and your init listings, bolding the active character(s) was clear and effective. You kept the pace going well! I enjoyed the game, and even though I've played this scenario before with other characters, it felt fresh. Kudos!

I plan on upgrading Cyclic's equipment and changing her race to gnome.

The game went smoothly, more than most runs of the confirmation. Some times there is a bit of confusion about where the characters are and where they may chose to go, but not in your game. I've played it where the priest is deaf and where he has oil of silence on him. Which is it?

Yea it was the best rendition of the confirmation I've played in for a long time.

Cyclic: I believe he is deaf.

The text specifically states that he is deaf, but that he reads lips. The only negative modifier is to his perception.. essentially, you have to want to engage him for him to notice you but once he does, there are no issues with communication.

This does bring an interesting problem to light though. The text states that the model of the City is in the middle of the cave, surrounded by rocks and gravel, but the map places the city into the water. Disturb the water and Uori notices you. I guess this is to make sure you interact with him instead of accidently suffer the consequences of bypassing him.

Thank you for your evaluations here. I ran this once right after I started to GM, and received a lot of feedback on things I could improve. I am very glad to hear that I have improved enough to bring a fresh flavor to a game that is often times play well beyond the point of boredom.

Plain mithril shirts are "always available," right?

@Argor: Just in case you didn't know, the majority ethnicity in the Realm of the Mammoth Lords is not Ulfen, but Kellid (though there are probably some Ulfen too) - another possibility, if it rings your bells any, is Varki (who are kind of like Inuits).

I'm going to do a bit of updating. I might ditch the detective archetype. Not sure yet. I'm definitely buying a wand of cure light wounds though.

I thought you did a great job. I wish I could offer more constructive criticism but I can't really think of anything. You did the two most important things, you ran a game and you finished it. Thanks for both.

It will probably take me a day or two to completely update Ajax, but I'm not planning any major changes - wand of cure light, a better ranged option than a sling (although that worked out better than I expected), maybe a masterwork backpack.

You did fine as far as I can see, DM!

@Ajax: The great thing about slings is that you add your Strength modifier to them without needing to spend a bunch of gold on composites/the Adaptive enchantment. Maybe you want to keep the sling until you can afford one of those.

As for me, I'm saving for a mithril shirt, so no real changes for now.

To be honest real life has been tossing one curve ball after another lately. I haven't had time to do anything with Ajax properly yet.

Still I don't want to slow things down for everybody so even if my sheet isn't updated yet, I'll let you know I'm spending 2PP on a CLW, and buying 4 Darts and a masterwork backpack, and say I'm ready to go.

The plan was to go ahead and move us on, but I am going to hold off another day considering the current state of affairs with this Paizo bug giving people hell the last few days. Good news though: Dev's believe they have a patch that will work, and they are going to test it in the morning. If all goes well and the boards are back to normal, we will kick off tomorrow. Sorry to delay us more, but I don't want anyone tripped up and/or left behind because they couldn't see their campaigns or new posts.
