"I've had better days. I could use a rest." Crix says, barely able to hold himself up.

Jack Be Nimble
Jack spends a few moments keeping his patient calm to ensure the permanence of the healing. I was unable to find how many combat turns it takes for it to become permanent, so how long this takes is up to you, Mr. Johnson. Once he is sure of her, he helps the young lady to her feet and gets her headed for the exits.
He then turns back to the group. Jack is of fairly average size for an Ork, but his features are rather striking. He is dressed in a long leather duster, a wide brimmed leather hat, blue jeans, combat boots, and a plain white t-shirt. The butt of a large pistol on his hip peeks out for a moment, and for those who know what to look for, he seems to have some kind of weapon up the sleeve of his duster. Once he looks to the group, the bright blue of his eyes seems to almost glow under the brim of his hat.
He approaches where the rest of the group is standing coming to a stop beside Crix and Miyako, and looks everyone over briefly to see if there are injuries in need of healing.
Jinx Wigglesnort
Jinx subtly nods his thanks to Miyako for brokering a better deal for all of them.
His injuries are nothing more than the remnants of far too many beatings, and those that are fresh are relatively superficial. These injuries flare into grotesquery under the momentary conflagration of a match's head meeting its sulphurous end. Lines of smoke erupt from the man's mouth mere moments after the cigarette's cherry betrays his inhalation.
He lets a sultry wash of smoke escape his mouth before tossing a thumb accusingly at himself, "Jinx", and then following it with his yellowed pointer finger indicating the woman on his left, "Hellcat".
Crix Zelbourne
"I'm Crix. I handle targets a lot. But keeping them alive is not my normal line of work." Crix rummages around in his coat for a while, briefly flashing an absurd amount of knives, before giving up. "Ice. I think I need an ice pack." he concludes.

To everyone: If you've heard of Hellcat before, you probably also know she's considered difficult to work with. Notoriety 3
Jack: You need to sustain it for (Force) turns for it to become permanent.
Kat starts to say <<"Four thou...">> when the call gets cut off, and she's left unable to complete her thought for the second time in a row.
Turning to Tosh, she gets a look of disgust and says, "Look. If you want us to get this done, healing would help. So would more cash for equipment, but I'll settle for the healing. Get someone over here to treat these people, and we'll do what we can to get him to you alive. Anything else you can provide us will just make it that much more likely we'll actually be able to bring him back to you."
Charisma+Negotiation (-2 wound penalty): 7d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 6, 5, 5, 1, 2) = 29 -> 5 hits
Jack Be Nimble
Thanks Maeyan! I dunno why I could not find that.
If any you have much knowledge (seattle gangs), you might know of Jack.
Though Jack does not have any fetishes in evidence, if you have experience with magical healing, you likely recognized the signs of someone focusing on making a magical healing permanent before he helped the girl to her feet.
When Maeyan asks for healing, Jack looks a little more closely at her, and nods very slightly and raises a questioning eyebrow.
Several of us are a little worse for wear, says Jack with a glance at the troll mountain, perhaps we should tend to our hurts before we brave the lion's den, as it were. The slightly pinched look around the corners of his eyes betrays the strain of manipulating magic.
Mr. Johnson, The Revenge
Negotiation: Tosh: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 5, 2) = 19 3 hits, net 2 hits to Maeyan.
Tosh shrugs, then sighs at Maeyan. "As much as I hate to admit, your right about that. " He opens up his commlink puts in a command then a few moments later the man who healed Crix is back on the premises. The man is quite tired now, you can hear the droll sound of his voice panting through the helmet. Tosh just points at the group, the ranking officer takes out his modern medkit and approaches anyone in need of additional mundane healing.
Whoever needs healing can roll 10d6 on themselves, he already has -1 for not being in a facility. Apply penalty to your rolls dependent on Essence lost or if you are a gifted of some kind. Of course the healing won't kick in until you rest a day but dems de breaks when it comes to physical damage. I suspect that most of you will get rid of all your stun damage before continuing though.
Tosh brow deepens as he turns back to Maeyan, walking towards her slow and purposefully. Looming over her figure he replies. "As for equipment, I'm sure those little gutters of yours produce adequate equipment for your purposes. I shan't let you sully the armoury of the KE."
The girl thanks Jack profusely as Jack bids her a safe leave. As Jack returns to his companions the girl asks; "What's your name?"
I take it people want to rest an hour at least to get rid of some stun damage before continuing on?
Jinx Wigglesnort
The movement is subtle, easily missed by anyone not watching closely, as Jinx crosses his arms across his chest placing both hands within easy reach of both Yamaha Sakuras holsters on his protruding hips. There was no reason to move, for his position afforded him a nice view of the room and it occupants.
Recognizing that Tosh is working to continue his intimidation, the trog was tough amongst all manner of backup, and tired of the constant posturing he offers, "Crix needs rest. Anywhere would be better than here. Let's bug out."
Jack Be Nimble
The girl thanks Jack profusely as Jack bids her a safe leave. As Jack returns to his companions the girl asks; "What's your name?"
Jack turns back to the girl with a smile and a slight bow, "I am sorry, my manners seem to be lacking today. My name is Jack, what is your name?"
Miyako
Miyako gratefully stands still as the medic makes passes over the medkit and its various appendages addresses her impact wounds.
Heal 10d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 5, 4, 4, 2, 5, 1, 2, 2) = 35 3 hits!
At Jinx' suggestion, she says "Yes, I need the rest as well....I'm Miyako by the way."
Mr. Johnson, The Revenge
The medkit gives you a bonus equal to the amounts of hit rolled to any subsequent healing tests made through healing through rest. So during the hour that you rest both Crix and Miyako get +3 dice to their Body+Willpower checks to recover stun damage. Every hit of that recovers 1 stun damage. Also after a day of resting you can recover physical damage also with a +3, however you don't have time to do that at the moment.
The girl smiles sheepishly at Jack. Thank you Jack, my name is Sarah. I won't forget your help today." She nods her head, then runs off waving back at Jack as she leaves.
So as not to repay the entrance fee to get into the Ork underground the group does know of several cafes they can likely just put up their feet for a little while to let their bodies readjust to the damage they have taken.
Jack Be Nimble
I forgot to keep track, and looking back through the fights I took 3S from drain.
Heal from medkit: 10d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 1, 1, 3, 3, 3, 1, 6, 6) = 34 = 3 hits.
I am not near my books. How much penalty is there for the heal check for me.
Jack waves back at the girl as she leaves.
When the medic from the KE comes by, Jack thanks him. Then he turns to follow everyone to a small cafe. Once there he checks over the menu to see if it offers anything that is not soy based.
Jinx Wigglesnort
The gunslinger nods to Crix, confirming that the walking knife rack was correct about his street name, and then starts to tip his hat as Miyako introduces herself. It is only then that he becomes aware that his hat is missing.
He could accept the abuse to his person, the slander to his name, the derogatory comments about his lack of physicality, but he would not abide the loss of his hat!
Agreeing to meet up at a familiar location he stomps off to find his hat.
Finding a table with multiple exits, adequate sight lines, and the ability to place one's back to the wall was just a matter of course. Considering that they would be speaking of things best kept from the auditory canals of those around them.
Jinx, a voluminous cowboy hat tipped back to reveal his face, fills his soykaf with so much sweetener that you imagine that it tastes like a coffee milkshake. In his mouth is a half-smoked and partially-flattened cigarette butt he found outside of the cafe.
His stomach spoke first, for he hadn't eaten in days, and hadn't eaten a full meal in recent memory. Ancient cobwebs and randy dust bunnies were mating in his wallet, which left him with enough nuyen to barely cover this drink turned meal.
"I echo Crix's words. Returning marks alive is not my specialty. Perforated is more my style."
Miyako
Sitting down at the table, Miyako motions to the waiter that the tab will be on her; then motions to the others to order whatever.
She then slouches back in the padded chair, a sigh escaping her lips as she allows her aching torso a brief respite.
"Well, you two will just have to restrain yourselves on this one. We need intel from this mark before we hand him over to KE..." Miyako says conversationally
Jinx Wigglesnort
Children coming down on Christmas morning have nothing on the twinkle in Jinx' eye as he orders enough food to fill his stomach thrice and still fill his pockets with edible swag.
"Wizard, domo arigato. Dear Diary, Miyako was nice to me today."
Blood is still caked on his face, and he would easily blend in with the street denizens, but the food keeps his noise organ quiet save for the occasional groan of contentment that comes from having hot food in his system.
He leans back, stomach overfull and system regretting how fast he crammed food into his gaping maw, to continue to draw nourishment from his flattened cigarette.
"Anyone know anything of use to help track down JT?"
Hellcat and he were operating on intel that Turner was operating out of the Pirate Cove, but there was no reason to reveal anymore then they had to.
Maeyan "Hellcat" Kithalond
Penalty for being awakened is -2 to healing tests, penalty for essence loss is -1 per 2 points lost.
Medkit: 8d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 1, 2, 5, 1, 6, 2) = 22 Only 2 hits, when it comes up.
In response to Jack's raised eyebrow, he gets a saucy wink back. Any further exchange is interrupted by the detective's attempt at intimidation, which doesn't have much of a cowing effect on the self-possessed elf.
Later, at the restaurant, Kat quirks an eyebrow at Miyako's surprisingly generous offer, then proceeds to order two of the most expensive item on the menu.
After the waiter leaves, she chimes in. Her English has a mild accent, although she speaks it as fluently as a native. "I, on the other hand, have much more fun before the target is... perforated. Once they're dead, they're just boring."
Maeyan "Hellcat" Kithalond
Oh, I see. I deducted the two on the guy's medkit test. Hm. GM? Should I re-roll it all, or just leave it as-is?
No, that was right. The penalties are on the Medicine roll, which is what the 10 dice were. Hits from that are then bonuses on your own natural healing rolls (Body + Willpower or Body*2), which aren't penalized for who you are.
Jack Be Nimble
Jack leans forward and puts one hand on Crix's shoulder and his eyes slide slightly out of focus.
Spellcasting (Force 5 Heal): 8d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 3, 6, 2, 5, 5, 3) = 35 = 5 hits.
1 hit heals 1 physical damage, and the other four reduce the time needed to make the spell permanent.
Drain Resistance (DV 1): 10d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 6, 5, 3, 1, 6, 5, 3, 6) = 46 = 6 hits; no drain.
Mr. Johnson, The Revenge
Don't worry still here watching intently, since it is just people discussing I don't have much input.
The waiter nods at Miyako and starts to bring out any food the group has ordered while they kick up their feet from the sudden riot that happened moments earlier. The calm is welcoming. Tosh and the KE have left them to their own devices, the KE presence can still be found in the area but there are far less of them around now. Presumably because of damage control from the sheer amount of men that they arrested.
Crossroads cafe the small place they have sat down at is not a very busy place. At least not at the moment, the waitress that is serving them is a little shaken up but is continuing to do so under behest of his manager. The group can see the manager shouting at both the waiter and the chef as they work, maybe he wants to put a good impression on the only customers he's got at this moment. It's doubtful he will get anymore today.
Jinx Wigglesnort
For a rail the gunslinger can really pack the growlies away. Wrappers speak of a repast consistent of burgers and cakes made of soy, wafers of krill and libations of Fizzygoo. Those closest can hear his stomach complaining loudly, and threatening to eject the newly attained sustenance via whichever pipe is closest.
Sensual contrails of cigarette smoke lazily drift up from the slight gap in his mouth mouth an are cruelly dragged into his nostrils for further processing. Stabbing out the butt the moment its cherry had come uncomfortably close to his flesh he keeps his eyes on the waitress in an attempt to discern the cause of her distress. Perhaps she knew the location of the Pirate's Cove.
While waiting for the others to speak of any leads they had on Mr. Turner he excuses himself to use the facilities before Gorging the Redux begins.
Maeyan "Hellcat" Kithalond
With a nod, Kat extends her hand limply towards Jack. She's holding it out in the classic posture for a hand to be taken and kissed, although she gives the impression that that is the usual way she offers her hand. "If you would be so kind. I hope you're capable of more extensive treatment than you needed for your comrade."
I hope I'm reading Crix's damage tracks right - He had 1/11 physical and 6/10 stun?
Crix Zelbourne
Correct! I need to take off that 1 physical though, thanks to Jack. I took overflow stun in that last fight due to good damage resistance and bad dodging.

"I will certainly do my best." Jack takes her hand as if he might kiss the back of it. He reaches for the magic once again, shaping it to restore her wounds.
Spellcasting (Force 5 Heal) 8d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 5, 4, 6, 5, 2, 5) = 31 = 4 hits.
Drain Resistance (DV 6): 10d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 1, 1, 2, 2, 4, 3, 5, 4) = 28 = 1 hit, 5 drain.
When Jack's eyes meet hers again, he looks much more tired. With a nod he returns to his meal, moving tiredly.
Jinx Wigglesnort
People experiencing climax for the first time don't look as happy as Jinx, but he finally tears himself from his repast long enough to ask, "Anyone know anything of use to help track down JT? Miyako? Crix? Jack?
Jinx glances at Hellcat, confident that she will take the lead when it is time to reveal what the know.
Miyako
Miyako relaxes as everyone digs in, she herself eats some noodles and tea.
Body+Will+Medkit bonus 3d6 + 3d6 + 3d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 3) + (3, 1, 5) + (5, 2, 1) = 23 = 2 stun healed
She still feels some of the effects of the shots she took.
Turning in her seat to Jack "If you up to it Jack...."
Turning to Jinx, "Jack had a contact...named Pip...that we were going to lookup before getting involved with that gang-war."
Jack Be Nimble
Jack can't heal stun damage.
Yep. Heal wont heal stun damage. There is a spell to deal with stun, but he doesnt have it yet.
Jack smiles sadly at Miyako, "I am sorry, my friend, magic will not erase the fatigue and bruises."
Body+Will+Medkit Bonus: 5d6 + 5d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 6, 6, 3) + (2, 6, 3, 1, 2) + (2) = 34 = 3 hits.
1 Edge spent to reroll failures: 8d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 4, 4, 1, 2, 5, 3) = 31 = 3 hits.
6 Stun healed, 2 remain.
After some food, rest, and focused relaxation, Jack looks much more prepared to head into the Underground. He nods as Miyako mentions Pip, "Yep. So I am guessing we look for Pip. Unless, of course, anyone knows another approach."
Jinx Wigglesnort
Watching Hellcat for a moment he patiently listens to the other's accounting of their leads and then offers up, "'JT operates out of a warehouse called the 'Pirate Cove' in the Ork Underground."
Jinx seeks out a cigarette to deflect any questioning glances that might be cast his way to glean more of how he would know that, hoping 'Cat might step in and smooth over anything that follows. Social nuances are not the gunslinger's forte. He resolved awkward situations with the liberal application of ballistic projectiles.
Mr. Johnson, The Revenge
Just going to speed things along here a little, I'll do the meeting with pip. Will use Hopper's loyalty as they knew each other.
Charisma+Etiquette+Loyalty: 9d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 2, 4, 2, 1, 3, 4, 2) = 28 2 hits
The group is about to get up to move from the Cafe, when they do they hear a chair get pulled away and a coin starting to flip in the air. The group turns to a nearby table where they see an ork boy, probably just hit puberty by the looks of him. He has a scraggy looking shirt but it looks bulkier underneath and some decent suit trousers. Probably got it as a donation from a tourist, who knows for sure. He has his feet up on the table. He eyes the group taking into account all of them, his eyes sizing each of them up and he is taking careful note of the weapons. As he does this you hear the coin again, the boy is flicking a coin and catching it with his left hand, while his right arms is crossed over his midsection.
His gaze eventually rests on Jack, then his demeanor changes. His legs come off the table and makes his hands meet infront of him where he courteously knits his fingers together. "Ah hello surface folk. A little trick tells me you need a guide so you don't get lost in the dark. I can find the Den of freebooters for you and get you there safe. If you want even more safety and another way in. Oh well.. if you penny up a bit of nuyen for a poor orc boy I'm sure the Cove won't see you coming at all."
Crix Zelbourne
"Sounds more than fair. You good for it kid?" Crix asks in his usual blunt manner.
-Posted with Wayfinder
Mr. Johnson, The Revenge
Pip brings the coin up to his head holding it between two of his fingers as he gives a false salute. "Oh yes, Pip is my name." The coin he is holding is from a bygone era, it seems several decades old. Maybe he uses it to entice tourists.
"100 nuyen? Yea lady, that'll give me food for a good week. Good offer, friend's rate of course." He roots round in his pocket for his cred stick that he holds out expectantly.
After the party gives Pip the nuyen I assume Miyako will be donating he pockets the stick again. Pip then gets up and bids the group follow him. "Come now, let us explore the orc underground together, now stick close. Don't want you taking a wrong turn then meeting up with the 'Ghost Gator'. He'll come gobble you up, even guns don't scare that thing. Hahaha. Now come on."
Pip leads the group into the tunnel system, he wasn't joking it is just a network of pipes and tunnels that all look the same. The Runner's finally make it to Pirate's Cove. Th e pungent smell of fi sh and stagnant seawater assault your nose as you look out over Pirate’s Cove. A sprawling town in its own right, the cove resides inside an enormous cavern, the ceiling easily a hundred meters above your head. Crescent shaped, the cove is almost two kilometers wide, and dozens of boats are docked along the rough piers jutting out from the shoreline. Most are small, private boats, though there are several larger fi shing trawlers that would be idea for smuggling small goods past the Seattle Ports. In the distance you can see a small crack in the far end of the cavern, obviously the narrow, hidden entrance in the rocks that leads in and out of the cove.
It doesn’t take you long to pick out Jack Turner’s boat, a large
fishing boat painted in bright red and black colors. You can make out the name Fortune Hunter in white along the back of the boat. Time to talk to a smuggler.
Pip rests his back on the wall then points his thumb towards the boat. "That there is what you be looking for. Not a bad place eh? Hopper says you are looking for the warehouse though. I don't know exactly where it is but it is near here. Ask people in there, you might get a nose for something. Just say Pip sent ya and they might open up to you more. Hey also, you busting something big right. So you need to be lost in the tunnels to get away from all the guns.. mm? Well when you come back out and I see more dough I can get you out pretty quick. Sound like a good deal to you? I'll even try to avoid the Gator just for you fellas."
Jinx Wigglesnort
Jinx focuses on trying to remember the way back, but quickly gives up. Pip leads them unerringly, and it becomes apparent rather quickly that if the young ork was leading them afoul that there would be little the motley crew could do about it.
Clapping Pip on the shoulder the gunslinger wanders into the Pirate's Cove. Ensuring that he has Stick-'n-Shock rounds ready for Mr. Turner.
Miyako
Miyako looks down upon the subterrean town, her eyes scanning back and forth.
At Jack's comment, she looks sideways at the boy, "Indeed, you did well. More dough for a successful extraction...I think we can accommodate you, Pip." she says with a small smile.
"Let's be off then, Mr Turner isn't getting any younger." she says over her shoulder as she leaves the shelter of the cave.
Mr. Johnson, The Revenge
Pip flips his coin again catching it and putting it up to his eye. "I'll be here don't you worry" He waves at the runners as they enter into Pirates cove.
As the group looks around the cove it becomes quite clear that the name is quite literal. The place feels exactly like a 19th century pirate port. The buildings are ramshackle affairs, thrown together out of wood and scavenged metal sheets, and many look to have been built from the hulls of scavenged ships themselves.
The men working the dock have a hard edge to them, and most of the boats sport weaponry of some kind. Some of the biggest smugglers in Seattle likely work out of this port.
Most of the men working around the area turn to eye up the group in suspicion. After a few moments their eyes fall back to their work, not so much as a simple greeting is given to the party as they walk on through. No-one even approaches these 'outsiders'.
What would the party like to do? There are the workers, several boats, the Fortune hunter and a few dock buildings.
