Activating the Maglock and sliding the door open, Miyako glances at Jack and nods.
Slipping into the room, she pauses and surveys the room, checking the bed then the bathroom for occupants.
If no threats she will then go to the front door and await Jack's arrival.

Miyako continues to search the room.

"I do not see anything worth noting. Gonna take a look at the unseen."

The room is a mess of dirty clothes, Craig's collection of take-out menus from around the world, and a half-unpacked suitcase on the rumpled bed filled unhelpfully with toiletries rather than clues. Miyako has no trouble spotting a leather-bound diary under the bed. Thumbing through it, she sees page after page of highly technical entires regarding various digs she has been involved in. Miyako's perseverance is rewarded, however, when she finds the following journal entry. In the margins, under Tuesday's date (the day before you all were contacted) reads Jack Turner, Seattle, 20:00.
Well done! I'll stick the link under the Campaign Info so you don't have to find it on this page again. Now to get out of the hotel :)

Jack nods to Miyako, "I will be right behind you, just make sure that doors stay open a moment longer than absolutely needed."
Jack focuses his will, borrows a bit of power from the spirits in the area, and vanishes from sight.

Jack locks the spell into the sustaining focus to free his concentration should it be needed elsewhere. "I am ready to go, Miyako."

"Nice trick" Miyako says a little enviously.
She then checks the peephole, to make sure the coast is clear. When it is, she will exit Fiona's room (holding the door open for Jack), trying to avoid the cameras as before.

o_0 holy mackerel, that's a lot of hits. Well done :)
Jack Turner is a smuggler working out of the Ork Underground (short description below; the Matrix readily returns this much info on it for free.) He is a prime mover getting guns and BTLs through the Underground. Several sites note Knight Errant is itching to get their hands on Turner. Some very seedy sites gave rumors he is working out of a warehouse at Pirate's Cove in the OU.
Another Data Search or consulting criminal or Ork Underground contacts will turn up some more info on Pirate's Cove.
Making your way into the Underground is easy. There are two easily accessible public entrances, one in the basement of Lordstrung’s department store, the other under the Big Rhino, a restaurant that serves “authentic” ork cuisine. There are supposedly numerous hidden entrances all over the city, but only residents of the Underground know their locations. Lordstrung’s is the largest and most easily accessible of the two main public entrances, and is the only one open 24/7.

33 hits! Wow! And yes, when Adam in Beta Run rolled a critical glitch in his Data Search Test, his comm was spammed with unremovable adware which he avoided by spending a point of Edge.:) But Crix is right, you didn't actually roll any glitches.
From the rumors on various obscure running forums, you gather that Pirate's Cove is an underground grotto that has an entrance out into the Puget Sound. Smugglers use it to sneak small cargo into--and presumably out of--the city on fishing boats. It's somewhere north of the OU's Tourist Highway.
Your additional information on the OU is covered below, and you are certain from it that the fastest and safest way into Pirate's Cove is to get a resident of the OU to guide you there--not an easy task in itself, but safer than stumbling upon the den of a ghost gator. You'll need to leave the Tourist Highway, and the only way to navigate the labyrinthine tunnels and dangers of the OU is to get someone who knows the way.
The Ork Underground is vast. Following the Great Seattle Fire of 1889, the city opted to simply build over the old Downtown. Many of the buildings that could be repaired now had their original first floor underground, and even many of the streets remained intact. In the mid 20th century the Underground was partly restored as a tourist destination. After the Awakening and Goblinization, it became a haven for many metahumans, and following the Night of Rage had become a refuge for a large portion of the metahuman population of Seattle.
By 2050, the Underground had been built up and expanded into a thriving district in its own right, though it has never been regarded as such by the City of Seattle. It has its own unofficial mayor, its own police force (since Knight Errant, and Lone Star before them, almost never step foot into the Underground), and entire commercial and residential sections. The entire Underground network has never been properly mapped out and stretches throughout Downtown and beyond.
The citizens of the Underground still don’t trust “topsiders,” as they call anyone who lives on the surface. They put up with the tourists, since that’s a major source of income for many residents, but they’re not fond of people just randomly wandering around the Underground, especially outside of what they call the Tourist Highway, which is the public area of the Underground where tours run. So getting information can be difficult.
Humans and elves suffer a -2 to all social tests against any of the Undergrounds residents, and any information will cost them twice the Nuyen it normally would. Many of the residents are openly hostile outside to any topsiders that aren’t on the tour. Orks, trolls, and dwarves do not suffer this penalty, but are still looked at with distrust.
Not long ago Alamos 20,000 attacked the Ork Underground and set a large portion of the Tourist Highway on fire. The faint smell of smoke still lingers in the air, many buildings are still fire-gutted ruins, and the walls are blacked with soot.
The Underground is constantly being expanded and under development. In some sections, if it weren’t for the ever-present ceiling, it would be easy to mistake it for neighborhood streets topside. Two and three story buildings, markets, stores, factories, and even legitimate businesses all call the Underground home.
In other sections, crude tunnels and caves make up a maze that even lifelong residents have trouble navigating. Hidden entryways into basements and sewer lines litter this area of the Underground. Paranormal critters, smugglers, and the more common criminals utilize these tunnels for their own ends.
Many of the tunnels aren’t wide enough for vehicles, so outside of some of the larger areas, vehicles other than motorcycles are rare. Bicycles are very common, however, and all along the Tourist Highway and other commercial areas you can find plenty of bicycle taxis and plenty of bike rental places (10¥/hour, 150¥ deposit required).

"I'm going to see if my boys can recommend a reliable guide for the Undergroumd"
Miyako then comms Sergei and Samuel and asks if they know of any reliable guides.

Alright, I'm not 100%, but I'm feeling much better and up to posting at any rate!
Miyako's contacts have no information--the OU isn't exactly in either of their circles of influence.
Hopper, however, laughs, I think I do know someone who could help you. I was down in the OU, seeing if I could win any OU support for the Tricksey Orkses, and this little ork boy named Pip badgered me into being his guide. He took me through all the touristy stuff of course, but I convinced him to take me off the beaten path. Seemed to know his way around the tunnels. Don't know if he'll be able to take you where you want to go, but he seemed willing to guide even a Topsider off the Tourist Highway, and that's hard to find down there. I've seen him around the Lordstrung entrance the few times I've been.
| "Droid" |
Nope, I'm good too. Unless anyone needs a search...
actually I'll try and find maps of the underground. Focusing on non tourist areas.

Good rolling...
Unfortunately, as your searches tell you, Matrix coverage in the OU is spotty at best, especially outside of the Tourist Highway, so GPS routinely fails while inside, making any sort of technological mapmaking (or map following) a wildly imprecise affair. Various bloggers from shadowrunners to adventurous tourists say that if you grease enough palms in the OU, they are sometimes willing to guide topsiders through the tunnels, but warn that the Skraacha will often break kneecaps if they find accurate info about the OU's tunnels available online. The Skraacha, as your searches show, are an ork gang indigenous to the OU and fiercely protective of its residents and their privacy and security from the topsiders.

Swaying in her seat as Droid maneuvered through traffic, Miyako says "Droid, mind swinging by my condo. I have some gear I'd like to pick up before we venture underground."
Miyako will grab weapons , armoured jacket , basically all of her gear necessary for a venture into dangerous territory.

The Lordstrung Department Store is a two-story building not far from Sea-Tac. As you walk through the brightly lit store through aisles and aisles of urban chic men's and women's apparel, AR advertisements blast, most of them in-store sales and maps, though a notable one urges you to go on one of the four guided tours of the Ork Underground that depart every day from the Lordstrung entrance, only 150¥!
The OU entrance is a set of double escalators with steel gates you see can be lowered to cut the OU off from the store if the store needs to close (although, as noted above, Lordstrung is normally open 24/7). From the top, you can hear the cacaphony of the tourists and merchants reverberating from down in the OU's tunnels. In a small kiosk near the escalators is a hardcopy map of the portion of the Tourist Highway closest to Lordstrung.
I'll pause here to let you decide how you are going to proceed. And, in the meantime, I am working on a Roll20.net campaign to use for battlemaps. The Back in Business (Alpha Run) Roll20.net Campaign
Please head on over there and use the settings bar to change your display name to your character name so that I can link your account to your character. Use the Roll20.net campaign to adjust your character's positioning, but post all dice rolls and actions here.
If you don't have a Roll20 account, then now is a good time to get one. They're free and utterly fantastic. Roll20 has the tools to run a self-contained campaign, complete with voice and video chat if you want, dice rollers, map tools, character tokens, the works. :)
