That's the spirit!

The way I'm looking at it, it's a small, elusive and magically resilient enemy. To the extent I have a plan, it is to net it and then smash it to a pulp. It might take while, but it will work in the end.

Oh, and did the church have any holy water?

The Exchange

Yes - see the main thread, though I didn't make a big deal of it.

Grand Lodge

It wasn't in Dravite's loot list, but Aubrey mentioned a MW flute in there. Obviously I'd like that. It hasn't been sold has it?

Liberty's Edge

Manwolf Werewoof testing upper middle class twit 5

Naah....I don't think the flute got sold. I think we were saving it for the bard.
I looked back, and I can't find the MW flute in Aub's breakdown.
Hmmmm.....curious.
Never mind; now I see it.

True. I was more clarifying after the fact that a few of the players (you know who you are) had read the details of the quasit in the MM and were planning what items to buy off the back of that, which was beyond what I had intended when giving the page reference. I'm sure they all know what a quasit is - but unless they use quasits a lot, it is difficult to recall specifics beyond generic demon-y stuff, such as weaknesses and abilities (I know I didn't know). Rather than have them go back and pretend they didn't know, after posting details on the thread, I decided that they could run with the info they have but not get anymore. So this is more about this instance. I will learn not to trust those conniving little buggers called "players".

Oh, a potion of See Invisibility is 300gp, and a scroll is 150gp.

Sorry about that Aubrey. Normally I wouldnt have much idea of monster's exact capabilities, only I have recently DMd encounters with quasits in two different games, so I had a pretty good idea about this one. I was also unsure if you were giving us MM page references for pics or stats (I use the SRD here at work), so I decided to err on the side of caution by posting in a spoiler. Sorry for the meta-gaming.

No problem, it wasn't clear from the context. Just don't do it again!

Oh, just a heads-up....it's Thanksgiving on Thursday stateside; forgive my ignorance of English and Australian and Greek holiday observances. I'll be around a little, albeit in a turkey-gorged torpor, but others of my Yank brothers may or may not be on the road, going to see family and such.

Grand Lodge

I'll do Thanksgiving here with Jo and the handful of Americans I know (okay 2 isn't really a handful) but on Saturday as no one has the day off work. Kinda strange.

Yeah, I doubt I will be around at all on Thursday, but Friday afternoon is a possibility.

Grand Lodge

Male Human Expert 5

I'm going up to Phoenix to eat, eat and be merry. I'll be close to a computer all weekend, though.

Ooooh! Will you be staying long or heading out Thursday night/Friday morning?

Grand Lodge

We're sticking around until Sunday, I think. Can't drive on Thursday night anyway - too much turkey in the system.

Thanks for letting us know. Happy Thanksgiving!

Regarding marching order, it probably makes sense to have Dravite (hard hitter and tracker) and Larken (doors and traps man) at the front. Elisile can provide support in both tracking and searching, so can either be near the front to assist, or will take rear guard.

Elisile needs both hands for her bow, so she will not carry a second torch. I suggest that Vethran or Illes might be good candidates for torch-bearers.

Liberty's Edge

Manwolf Werewoof testing upper middle class twit 5

Okay, so how about:

Dravite
Larken
Hudak
Loj
Alwyn
Veth
Elisile
Illes(?)
for 5 ft and
Dravite Larken
Hudak Loj
Alwyn Veth
Elisile Illes
for 10 feet?
Thoughts?

Guys, many apologies for the lack of posts, but I keep forgetting to bring the scenario to work with me (plus I'm unusually busy). I won't be posting today or tonight, so I'll get something up for tomorrow at home.

Grand Lodge

No worries.

Since I'm in the back on both of those marching order lists maybe I should carry one of the torches to extend the light further behind us? I'll have to drop it to play music or use a shortbow, but I don't mind carrying one.

Hey, Aubrey!

Spoiler:
do you have J1 Entombed w/the Pharoahs? There's a wand rifle in there; wondering if (later on) one of our 'casters could buy/use it(?)

The Exchange

No peeking, please Rarely Accountant 2/Auditor 4/Waster 30

Yes, I did, and I don't see a problem with that.

Liberty's Edge

Manwolf Werewoof testing upper middle class twit 5

Cool. HEY CASTERS!!! Check out the Wand Rifle in J1!!!
I'd think about taking a level of bard to use it, if my Cha didn't suck. Hmm, maybe rogue.... ;)

Grand Lodge

Male Human Expert 5

OK? What does it do?

Liberty's Edge

Manwolf Werewoof testing upper middle class twit 5

Gnaaah....I don't know if I'm supposed to say on the boards, like copyright crap.

Grand Lodge

Male Human Expert 5

Fair enough. I was thinking more generally - is it a wand of magic missile with extra range, or something like that?

Liberty's Edge

Manwolf Werewoof testing upper middle class twit 5

Naah. It's hard to say generally.

The Exchange

It's a sort of rifle-y thing into which you plug different wands.

Just had to sit through an amateur dramatics musical tonight (friend of the Mrs was in the chorus). I'm mentally scarred.

Grand Lodge

Ouch. My sympathies. Original material, or just the butchering of the work of others?

I went to a strip joint, but to each his own...

To be fair, it was for a bucks night. Strip clubs are not my usual Saturday eve fare.

Grand Lodge

More of a Monday afternoon thing?

Yes, they do a good "businessman's lunch" special.

Something called The Merry Gentlemen. Sort of light operetta.

I think I would have preferred Mothman's evening.

Liberty's Edge

Manwolf Werewoof testing upper middle class twit 5

(lol)
The U.S. college football game I wanted to watch was supposed to start at 3:30. It was put off because the game before it went into overtime. Then, with 5 minutes left in the overtime game, I got called in to do a scan at the hospital and missed the game. Aaaaargh! At least my guys won.

Grand Lodge

Having a busy few days here. Around, but slow to post. Also I'll be gone from Friday evening till maybe Monday evening this weekend. Mini-trip to Rome.

Liberty's Edge

Male Mothman Expert 5

Just popping over to Rome? Nice!

Have a good trip man.

Grand Lodge

Male Human Expert 5

Interesting. Looks like we just ran into a couple of "wrathbeasts" or some such thing. Fitting, as we are doing a sin-based campaign.

Liberty's Edge

Male Mothman Expert 5

These look nasty ... especially given the close quarters, and even more so if they have damage reduction (I got that sense from Aubrey's description of Elisile's arrow shot - but it might just be that they have a lot of hit points...)

Is there a way for Larken to get out of there? He's not in good shape, and it might be better to have Hudak in the front line.

Also, for future reference, in our marching order, it might be best if we maintain a 5 foot gap between each person or pair - gives us a little manouvering room when the s+#! goes down in cramped quarters. For example, if there is a 5 foot gap between Dravite/Larken and the next row, Larken can take a 5 foot step out of combat and allow someone else to get in there.

Liberty's Edge

Manwolf Werewoof testing upper middle class twit 5

I grok to that, bro.

Are these things regenerating or fast healing or something? That can't be good...
