Well, we were given 2 options: recruit Zamir or get rid of him. If these guys are telling the truth and according to the sense motive checks it seems so, then we can use them to achieve the second option. Besides that their attitude should have moved towards friendly after all those diplomacy checks :P
Helpful is actually above Friendly on the attitude scale. Ashara did so well on her first check that he's as courteous as he's ever going to be. :-)

Nate.. On a completely off the topic side note, how are you at algebra and trig? This class is killing me! Between the prof not being able to talk in comprehensible terms and being about as steady as a mexican jumping bean, and the hens that just sit here and chatter, I am going to blow an aneurysm. And whatever moron that though putting the IT brainiac students in the same room with the nursing students that just want to survive the damn class should be shot...(opposites DO NOT attract in this case)

Thanks. There were some hints in the way the GM described their behaviour that got me thinking this could be the case. And I rolled high enough to know what they were saying was the truth.
Anyway I must admit I considered them weak enough we would have had no problem dealing with them if they turned out to be bandits, so I wasn't really scared of making a mistake :P
Yea I tried to make it ambiguous as to whether they were friend or foe at first, but also make it clear that they weren't being actually hostile.

I am in algebra and trig for my RN degree, and the prof is one of the worst that I have even heard of.. I need a one on one tutor to try and grasp some of this crap. Granted, the man is SMART.. but he spent too many years as a theoretical engineer to be teaching at a community college whose majority have not set foot in a math class in upwards of 10+ years. He is either talking way too far above our heads or is asking us 2+2. He does not reference the book, and just teaches off of hand outs. When he gets into a problem, he is worse than a mexican jumping bean about staying in one place, and on topic. Add in his propensity to try an beat understanding in with repitition without fully explaining what he is doing and I am going nuts! The GM and I know each other personally, thats why I was asking him for help, and at that point was too frustrated with everything to consider the venue.

As some of you might have heard from me here, or in other campaigns, I have found a job in Japan teaching English. I have been packing and busy tying up loose ends for the past week/week-and-a-half and I apologize if this has screwed with my posting rate. I am posting this because tomorrow I am heading to Salt Lake City and will be boarding a plane to leave the country the following day. When I arrive, it will be flurry of moving in and starting my new job As such I may not be able to post until next weekend. I don’t however know what the situation will be like until I am there and may not have access to the internet for personal use for longer, though I highly doubt that will be the case. I will get a post (or may already have one) into the gameplay thread, and if I am holding up combat or role-playing please feel free to bot me! I’m sorry if this causes any problems and I hope to be able to post again soon.
I'm really not wanting to drop from this but if I don't post for more than a week feel free to drop me...
That's cool, we'll give you a few days to get readjusted. I think as long as you play most of a module you can still get credit, so as long as you're back in time for the last encounter that's fine with me. Congrats on the new job!

Hello, ‘ello I’m back! I will have internet access and even better a phone (again…) with internet access! But, right now I will have to use a friends internet connection for a bit until I can get those set up. (Maybe next week sometime?) My schedule is liable to become more busy than before but much more consistent. (No more part-time retail work, yay) I’ll hopefully be back into the swing of things shortly.
