Darius, noting these Skum decided to stay back moves directly to the front row and whips one of the beasts not allowing them to freely shoot.

Darius (27)

Amanorn (21)
Jones (21)

Sledge (12)

Zin (8)
Darius drops one, but before Amanorn can fire his arrows at one of the fodder, an enormous hulking beast of a Skum comes rushing down the tunnel, seemingly maddened with rage.
It's Large sized. You get an AoO, but I'm assuming you use it to hit him. You never try to Trip or anything on AoOs, and don't know what's coming.
Overrun on Fodder: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (6) + 24 = 30
Overrun x2: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (13) + 22 = 35
Overrun x3: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (8) + 20 = 28
He barrels over the hapless creatures, bowling them over and trampling on their heads. This barely slows him down, however, as he continues charging through, slamming into Darius with a shoulder rush as well, and the adjacent Jones.
Overrun vs Darius: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (6) + 18 = 24
Overrun vs Jones: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (8) + 16 = 24
And keeps rolling like a freight train, only briefly stopping to slam them both with his axe, flailing wildly.
Darius: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (16) + 18 = 34
Damage: 2d6 + 14 ⇒ (6, 2) + 14 = 22
Jones: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (1) + 18 = 19
When he gets to Sledge, he puts on a burst of Strength to offset his slowed momentum.
Strength Surge Overrun: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (8) + 20 = 28
And rolls over him too, slamming at the Brawler with his axe as well.
AoO: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (6) + 18 = 24
Then it's Amanorn's turn.
Overrun: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (11) + 12 = 23
But it's the scrawny archer that finally stops his momentum, though only barely!
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH GRAAAAAHGRAAAAAGH!" it roars in Amanorn's face, unable to complete its charge, and slamming its axe into him out of spite.
LEMME AXE YOU A QUESTION: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (5) + 18 = 23

Darius take 31 damage ( he deals 9 damage on a successful Overrun as well), Amanorn take 22, and it's your turn.
Darius Ral'algul
Ahh CMD wasnt updated... that didnt run me over. That was base before mutagen and after Heroism. I forgot Shield of Faith improves CMD. Also why did I take damage on this overrun but no on else? Darius sint going to do trips unless he is trying to stop someone or invests later.
As Darius is pushed aside he curls Grimoire along the Hulk's legs rending flesh.

Ah, yeah, Jones and Sledge should have taken 9 damage too...but that point is moot now. Nobody takes any damage, the Charge ends at you and he misses with that 23 since he needed to succeed against you AND Jones to push onward. Would have succeeded had you killed just one more Skum =(. Ah well. Should have known an Overrun build was too niche and cool to actually work.
Darius rends the charging Broodchief.
Amanorn and Jones. If Amanorn doesn't post by the morning, I'll assume he shoots twice.
Darius Ral'algul
Hrm maybe not, I thought Darius dropped one.. and he moved forward so Jones isnt next to me. So that would have been two overruns not 3 at the beginning cause only two were up. I didnt really care about the damage really. First Round one Dropped, then Sledge dropped two you said, then another dropped and there was six
Jones Shei'lac
"I'm sure he saw some tactical advantage in trampling his allies to reach his opponents, though I can't imagine what it was."
Jones turns around and stabs the last Skum.
1d20 + 20 ⇒ (7) + 20 = 27
1d6 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14

So I'm not hurt, and he's stopped by Darius, huh? Well, let's try a trick I've been meaning to use...since Darius has reach, and only Sledge really needs to get in melee
Swift arcane strike, move bullseye shot, standard cast-and-bow Magic Circle Against Evil, facing INWARD (like when you're summoning demons) so that boss sumnabeeach is trapped where he's standing and we can all pick him off from outside. And he gets -2 to his save due to riving strike, and deadly aim
I shoot you: 1d20 + 17 + 4 - 3 ⇒ (18) + 17 + 4 - 3 = 36
You get pain: 1d8 + 4 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 4 + 6 + 2 = 20
Will save DC 19 to leave the circle, -2 to save
"Stay! Stay! Bad Skum! No! Darius, I think he needs his nose rubbed in it...from outside the circle, if you're wanting him to not hit you back. I'm sure Sledge and Jones can clean up his droppings he left on the way in."
Amanorn Preyedan
Its a standard action spell. How the f are you supposed to draw circles and stuff as a standard? And evil creatures can't cross. It pointedly says that. Its an area affect spell. I can shoot area spells through my bow. Ryn, if it won't work can I have prepared another spell? Wouldn't have tried if it didn't work that way. Have him cast Create Pit (1 less reflex) if it doesn't. I thought it was another cool clever application like AMF. Frankly, I'd have learned a different third level spell altogether (and prepared a second haste spell today) if that trick didn't work. :-( been trying to find alternative tricks than just the AMF

Ah. So, amended, Jones takes 22 damage and is knocked Prone, but he's still stopped at Darius. Then Darius whips him. Jones would need to stand up from Prone, provoking from the Broodchief, or take a -4 to-hit. Y/N?
Amanorn, the inward Circle explicitly only works on Called creatures, which this is not. I'll say this trick would work on any non-Summoned Outsiders, but if that's too niche for you, feel free to retcon that.
Jones Shei'lac
It's not the -4 to hit him that bothers me, but the +4 he gets on me. F$&+ity f%$@ity f+~~.
Is he in my reach?
Jones Shei'lac
Jones stays on the ground, hoping that not moving will make the creature less likely to target him.
Delay.
Rynjin
Amanorn puts an arrow in him, and a pit opens below his feet!
Reflex: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
The Broodchief is surprisingly nimble and...
Yeah, this is a bit of an odd situation. Technically speaking he can't jump forward (since he can't share a space with Darius) and he can't jump backwards (because ditto Jones 20 feet back). However, he is Large sized, so I'm going to say he:
...Plants his feet on either wall and straddles the pit!
I'll say he takes a -1 Circumstance to AC for awkward footing. And of course, he'll have to save next round if he stays here.
Jones stabs a Skum!
The two of the Skum stand up (one of them provoking from Jones), drop their bows, and begin mauling the poor, prone, private eye.

Amanorn smiles at Zin's spell
"Ah, nice teamwork, Zin. I like your style. Burn it or blind it, but come hell or high water, it stares into the eyes of the sun."
When my turn comes, if the boss didn't fall blind into the pit, I'm putting two arrows into him, otherwise they go into minions. Arcane strike and deadly aim.

Darius gives an appreciative nod at the works of the group. " I dont know what this hulking monstrosity meant but it is dead now so it matters little. Anyone greatly injured? While we have time to recoup and search the bodies for anything of use we should do so now. "
Jones Shei'lac
Jones shakily gets to his feet, and taps himself with his Cure Light Wounds wand a few times.

Samuel Sledge
"Don't look at me. Let's keep moving."
Amanorn Preyedan
"Not quite my forte of magic, Jones...but I assure you, if someone were to teach me healing magic, I'd rather enjoy shooting an arrow of it into you. You know, because we go so far back."
Amanorn mentions this while doing the loot search. After that, he nods to Sledge. "Lead the way, good sir Hobo."
Samuel Sledge
We'll clear out this part of the path before going to the fork.
Carrion Crown Treasure Monster
I'm assuming you loot Iq'Lothatuaa. Here's a picture BTW. A couple of pages lower than I expected it to be.
-+2 Greataxe. Those with Kn. History can recognize it as being very old, and of Kellid make. 2000 years old is a good guess, since at that time Kellid barbarians were the scourge of this region.
-+2 Amulet of Natural Armor
-Large Masterwork Chain Shirt
-Two large fishgold bracelets, total value 450 gp
-Various gems, mostly opals and pearls, totaling 50 gp
Down the current hall is a large chamber, small pools of water dotting its area near naturally formed stone pillars. It's actually quite beautiful in and of itself, though marred by refuse and the corpses of two Skum, who were presumably killed by their insane Broodchief.
A single passageway leads to the east, and the end of that hall branches to the north and south. You get a clearer look at the northern passage as it is shorter, and does not curve. It appears to be a mound of garbage sitting in black water, stained by hundreds of years of corpses and other disposed of trash.
Jones Shei'lac
Anyone want that Amulet? Normally I wouldn't need it because of Barkskin, but since I'm running dry right now...
Samuel Sledge
I gotta keep my AoMF on, so I never need to loot amulets.
Darius Ral'algul
You can have it
" This creature treated its subordinates as well as he did those in combat before. This refuse.... I am afraid to believe this may be several... years worth of... 'wives' or worse. "
Darius inspects the refuse, disgusted.

I find it interesting how every time you guys manage to avoid some horrific monster, you purposefully go back to piss it off.
Sledge grapples the garbage...and hauls up a giant sized mound of tangled vines and sludge. It pulses slightly under his hands.

Who's to say there even IS loot?
This is a creature well known to and hated by Darius' secret alter ego "Psykoblade": A Fetid Spore Mound, a variant of the Shambling Mound. They are Plants (with all the strengths and weaknesses there of) who are content to eat garbage and generally leave other creatures in peace if undisturbed.
All Shambling Mounds are brutal grappling monsters, grabbing and constricting their prey, but Fetid Spore Mounds are especially deadly, releasing clouds of yellow mold every time they are struck. They are immune to electricity.
There's more (quite a bit) but your knowledge check was not high enough to get more than the basics of what Shambling Mounds can do + the special ability of this one that sets it apart.
Jones Shei'lac
I find it interesting how every time you guys manage to avoid some horrific monster, you purposefully go back to piss it off.
We absolutely must kill everything in our path, it's the only way to save the world!
Kn Nature: 1d20 + 20 + 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 20 + (4) + 2 = 42
Jones delays until Amanorn and Zin have had their fun.
Rynjin
Wait.. don't Shambling Mounds like.. hate Elves.. like.. REALLY hate Elves?
Huh? No, they LOVE elves.
Elves are delicious.
Jones knows a few other things.
For one, they're not just immune to electricity, they're BOLSTERED by it. Each shot of electricity increases its ability to take blows. They get a boost of 1d4 Con every time they are hit by an electrical attack. No upper limit.
They're heavily resistant to bludgeoning and piercing attacks, being a mound of living vegetable. DR 10/Slashing.
In addition to being immune to electricity, they are resistant to fire. Resist Fire 10.
And finally, they are incredibly compressible, for obvious reasons. They take half damage from falling, can compress themselves into a space of five feet with no difficulty, and squeeze into even smaller spaces with ease shocking for such a large creature.
Jones Shei'lac
"Actually, it's rather resistant to fire, as well as bludgeoning and piercing weapons."
Amanorn Preyedan
"Yeah, well, I mean, we are delicious. Or so I've been told." I couldn't help myself.
"Yeah, I'm gonna go ahead and keep my distance. I'm into a lot of things, but plant life is not one of them. At least not after the cucumber incident. What you need at those times is a good friend, and a pair of tongs..."
Magic missile! And then he moves away as far from this sucker as he can while still having line of sight.
4d4 + 4 ⇒ (1, 1, 4, 4) + 4 = 14
"I'm really sorry again about not having tongs that time, Jones. Really, really sorry." This character is growing beyond my control!
Samuel Sledge
Well, I have a CMD of 39 vs grapple right now, so it'd need a pretty dank grapple to get me.
