I'm assuming the scythe is masterwork and is made of iron or steel.

Thanks Barackus for the scythe, I've been getting weary of mine. One can get tired of the same thing. It is also too big for me, maybe you can make use of it.

He pulls a scythe of his bag. It is made of bone and seems to be masterwork. As you weigh it in your hands, you start feeling cold. Drolmnaite walks to the fruits offered by the second family. As Drolmnaite eats one of the fruits, a bottle falls out of his pocket. He looks at it puzzled. He stands there in thought, then shrugs his shoulders and walks off.

Kitara slows down and waits for Derrus and Bazizz to get within 50 feet. "That is far enough, I know you have a malicious heart, for killing children. What do you want large one?" She says with authority.


Barackus remains silent on the trip back, obviously seething over the loss of his pet and loss of his killer..

"Thank you Derrus, that is all. Oh on our way back I need to grab a few things from the hag's house, I think they will help me get stronger." Bazizz starts talking almost ashamed, then perks up as he continues to talk, likely of dark magic.

Derrus brings bazizz back to the village to retrieve his things. he kills anyone who gets in his way and takes any loot his party left behind before returning to camp.

Derrus you see that no one gets in your way. The loot was all taken, or at least none was left in the center of town.

So without any more delays you get back to the lumbermill.

As you all walk to the mill, Rienn walks out to you sleepily and yawns. Drolmnaite tosses her an apple and walks inside without a word. Rienn frowns as she sees that Nelo is gone and that Derrus seems to have brought someone with him.

Well Derrus brought the child, Next to the elf is a woman and a man.

"Oh, is that the name of the Tin Can? We guess that he chose to protect my female slaves and make sure that they escaped, he also killed Barackus' companion we surmise." Keston seems to be slightly put off my the words he says.

"Correct me if I am wrong, the child with Derrus is named Bazizz, a new friend. The man there is Chandras, he was of some help back at the village, he is now the new pet of Barackus. Erindra here is my new pet, the one that didn't get away." The elf is a bit smug in his statement.

Diplomacy check to make Erindra's attitude toward me to become better, 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (12) - 1 = 11.

Yea, he would have mindlessly swiped at the shadows coming towards him, but following your PM, he destroyed them with ease anyway. He then enters Calico with the women. How many? 12 or so? :)

13 women got away with Nelo. One looks somewhat like your mother. Though as you look at them each seems to have a different kind of sparkle that rekindles your thoughts about your mother Nelo. Perhaps another reason why you protected them and bring them to safety.

With heavy breathing coming from the dark knight's almost biological helmet, the man doesn't seem fatigued or even strained from his actions. The only thing possibly making him breathe so heavily is his determination and otherworldly training he has over his own body, for it seems his Hellish origin favours him, granting him the strength to constantly push on, cutting aside any minor creature that gets in his way.

As the women talk amongst themselves, he spots a blonde haired woman towards the back, just out the corner of his eye, and for a brief second has a flashback of his mother as a child.

Pausing and grabbing his head in pain, he stumbles to the side, reaching out ahead of himself, before hellfire overwhelms his body once more, clouding his mind and reverting it back to absent minded blackness.

If he could be beaten by a couple of shadows, then he would be of no use to us. None of the villagers have gotten away thanks to me.

Derrus walks into the building setting Bazizz down in the door way and gesturing for him to enter.
Bazizz, this is Rienn, Keston, Barackus, and Drolmnaite.
Derrus sits down and eats a plate of food in one bite before taking three more and then leaving.

Keston tells his new pet to sit over there, then he grabs two plates and brings them over to her.

On his way back you would have seen him show both Chandras and his new pet why not to mess with him, he blasted a tree with a lightning bolt. Both should be very cowed, considered the intimidation from the other two and the demonstration.


Chandras makes himself useful and quickly grabs a plate for his master first, "Master do you want a quiet servant?" Rienn would recognize Chandras as a cultist of the burning.


"If you have something worth saying you may speak, but otherwise silence would be your best option.. Now.. Tell me what you know of the surrounding villages.."


"Master, besides Calico and Symphany there are no other established villages for about a week of travel. Calico is a natural grown city with magic. There are many goodie goodies there. The tunnels into the town are protected by crystals, do not touch them or they will explode, or at least that is the rumor. Many of the bandits and cultists have enough to raid without going to Calico or Symphany. I doubt many of them would be able to stand up to you let alone your group." Co-DM feel free to put in more info, for you know more than me...


Bazizz gleefully looks up at the woman, "Hi! You are Reinn?" Soon after he runs over to the food, climbs a stool and eats the food quickly.


"Hmm.. What about this town called Symphany? I feel the need to cruch these settlements just over their name selections.."


"Master, you just crushed Symphany that is the village you were just at, sorry for not clarifying. A contingent of hunters were out hunting, the children's guardian was with them, and the wizard was away as well. Those may be challenges you wish to squash."


"So we left people alive then.. Why didn't you tell me this while we we're there fool!"

The guardian won't be a problem. I met her and she was more then pleased to turn a blind eye to the destruction of symphany. I don't think she all that attached to it


Technically you left most of the men, ugly, elderly and young actually alive. Just those that ran and a few at the beginning you killed. In total Barakus killed less than a dozen, Derrus slaughtered a dozen children and under a dozen adults, Nelo killed a few, and Keston killed under a dozen as well. Leaving over half the populace alive.

Chandras cringes but does not back away. "Master I thought they would have been hunted down before by such great beings that you are, perhaps your gnome guide doesn't know the proper targets for such unholy beings. The wizard must have divined your coming and ran! Praise to the Fire that destroys!"

Yea, from what I recall, Nelo killed two guards (possibly 3), picked up the suck up and cast him aside, then free'd the women and killed Terror who attacked the women, as he was escorting them out. So yea, hardly any deaths from Nelo. He just had a habit of peeing people off and scaring them. Really did wish Terror didn't attack the people though, as I didn't want to attack someone's animal companion. Barackus' player's a good guy to play with. :)


I thought his bottle of shadows killed everyone.. Oh well..

Keston grabs another plate of food and sits with Barackus, in a whisper, "Do you think it best to stick with the fiery one and the delusional gnome or should we find a local that has grander designs rather than having us as assassins ?"

Nelo was able to save the women, but they don't take their savior to Calico, instead they bring you to the underground. Soon enough they come upon a group of children and have a reunion. The beautiful one named Kitara takes Nelo to see a few individuals that are in charge of this area. Once in she slips off and electricity surrounds you Nelo.

"You are not how you should be, an honorable man at times, others just a play thing of a devil, we will fix that." The electricity shoots through you and you black out, you don't know how long you have been under the pain, you wake up to see your uncorrupted body free of the armor, though you can see blue and purple tattoos all over your body. "Virgil, that is your name right you have been saying it over and over again, I am khan, we have purified you." Says an old man with years of wrinkles and long white beard.

As Nelo fades in and out of consciousness, no matter how much pain he goes through, his facial expression rarely changes.

At times he flashes his cocky smirk, but most of the time he just stares blankly as the electricity pulses through his veins. Eventually he drops to his knee's letting out a huge roar/cry of pain, as the bond between he and the one controlling him is broken.

Piece by piece the green armour that once encased him broke away and dropped from his body. His helmet crumbled and the thickness of his blade thinned out, it too crumbling away to reveal what was originally beneath it - A Katana If possible, can I retune his feats for Bastard Sword into Katana to represent his uncorrupt form, as essentially he's just become someone else? It means the weapon deals less damage but has a higher crit range, and a Fighter I know can retrain his bonus feats, so maybe I could just revert back to how he played as his human looking self? Only keeping the same spells and abilities. Also, he can no longer teleport to hell, as I had that as a corruption ability. :)

Wh...where?

The young man seems disorientated, but then shakes his head and looks up, glaring at those around him.

Where am I? he says with anger and confidence.

Did I fail to accomplish what my father succeeded in? Mundus....he's still alive.

Vergil composes himself and stands.

Ha, so he still looks like he's in his corrupt human state, but is now no longer corrupt. Interesting. Red eyes and pale blue skin, with blue tattoo like marks covering his body with a slight purple glow. He's now gone from Chaotic Evil to Lawful Evil, though this can be good, because he won't attack the good party now....unless they aggrevate him (unlikely) and his only intention is to bring down Mundus. Add that to his honour, and well, you have an almost good evil guy. I don't think he could ever be called truly good, with Neutral at best. Actually, yea. I guess Lawful Neutral would be a good fit for his new state then. :p

P.s. When I join the good party, I'll create an Alias for Vergil's new (old, depending on how you look at it) state.

Well it looks like this campaign will be coming to an end. Just like the good group, there was good intentions, but with the lack of input from our DM I will be withdrawing to focus on my new campaign.
