Red - I assume I didn't manage to cast my "when we get a little closer" spells, since I never declared it?
Red - can you reply to this? It affects whether I've got Divine Favor and Unerring Weapon up, and I want to be sure I'm playing with the right set of buffs. Thanks.

Lini flies down a bit and closes her eyes, taking a deep breath and relaxing as she calls on the forest for aid. Casting a summoning spell, need to be within 40' of the ground for it so have to move. It'll finish on my next turn. Moving such that I'm still 45' away from the hezrou, but only 40' above the ground.

As the demon falls to the mucky ground, Terrill calls out, "Let's see if we can still save the rest of these elves!" He moves to the closest cocoon (F9) and begins trying to cut it open.

DM Amazing Red |

Terrill and Chjara race around the bog, cutting down the cocooned inhabitants. You find four elves and 2 deer that were trapped. Luckily you acted quickly enough that they do not seem to have been transformed yet. One of them introduces himself as Lanverel. "Thank you, but I have to ask. Why would someone send mercenaries rather than proper elves? And who is responsible for abandoning my crew?"

"We're not mercenaries, we're Pathfinders," responds Terrill, adding wryly, "though some would say that's a distinction without a difference. In any case, you'll have to ask General Tenasi why she couldn't spare an elf for you."

"Sir, you are no doubt angry at the condition that you were left in. And it is unjust. Consider, though, a bit of wisdom: the best revenge is to lead a good life. Tenasi may not appreciate your fine skills, but there are many in the world who would. Our society, the Pathfinder Society, greatly values those with your particular skill set. Join with us, even for a time, and we can offer adventure, fame, and opportunity for wealth not to be found among the shrouded streets of Iadara."
She pauses, emphasizing the next few words. "We assure you, that our leaders would not undervalue you leadership skills or the efficacy of your team."

Lanverel calms down at the abadaran's words. "Your words carry wisdom."
With Fihralaz defeated and with the assistance of the surviving elves, you have little difficulty escaping from Tanglebriar and reuniting with the Uprooters at Mount Armiya. Another group of elves arrives soon thereafter to receive a report of the your success and escort the victorious outsiders safely out of Kyonin. Waiting for you at the border is a messenger who informs them of General Tenasi’s appreciation of their service and the promise of elven allies at a time and place to be named by the Pathfinder Society. The society also rewards you by paying a monetary bonus for a job well done. Congrats!
