Nikki, if no one else is interested I would love your extra protection from evil.

Right before we open the door, she casts Rally Point slightly in front of the door, so anyone passing through can easily walk over the glowing square or avoid it.

Reminding everyone we get +2 morale bonus to our 1st fear save from my prayer book (so it doesn't stack with Rally Point or Bless).

Seeing the summoned light get snuffed out, her eyes get wide. But then she steels herself, shrugs, and runs through the door yelling a battle scream.

I can't do the rest of my turn until I can see something, but my plan is to invoke Weal's Champion and smack it with my magic mace.

Kayla could also use the prot. from evil as she currently only has the veil of positive energy on her.

kayla positions herself near the second door. her back against the wall and blade is drawn. she fiddles with a smoke bomb in on hand in case she needs it.

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

Zadira casts open. The door doesn't move. Cain casts open using his Boot of Breaking and Entering and the door easily gives way. They rush head long into the room... and realize that they're staring at a familiar skeletal face! He's also gigantic! Saracek is now at least TWICE the size he used to be!

Grelthe, however, rounds the corner and sees three priests in dark robes and masks standing around a clearly alive man! His eyes bug out of his head and he wears a grin that is waaay too wide on his face. One if the priests, the leader judging by the slightly fancier robes, points at her and the man HOWLS for blood!
At that moment, Saracek unleashes his aura of dread, and his hollow cackle bursts from the newly opened room!
Fools! You came back! I shall consume your souls, as my allies consume your flesh!
As soon as this round ends (so at the ends of your turns or the beginning of your next ones, either way) the entire party makes a DC 19 will save vs Panicked (fear).

Cain: You notice that Saracek wields something he didn't have before, a shield with holy runes around the rim that has obviously been thoroughly desecrated.

Taking a peek around the corner, Simons tail comes to a sudden rest.
Damn it, we need a plan! Right now!
"Nikki, can you blast those priests to shreds for us-mii?
Grelthe, will you face Saracek with Cain?
We others will keep those buggers off your backs for now."

Anyone else having better ideas?
I have the feeling that the priests and that brute are bad news and have to die asap.
Not that Saracek is someone you can easily 'hold off for a while'...
I think that the Cats will be more effective in killing living stuff, than the skeleton due to the DR of the boss.
Probably the same goes for Kayla.

Zadira's bold and confident sprint into the next room starts to go badly immediately. The door doesn't open and she has to wait for someone to kick down the door, and then when she does make it across she starts to panic when she sees that she has just dashed INTO the room with the big bad guy. She was *sure* he was off to the right, and she was going to be able to shoot at him, and he's really big, and he's right there, and they didn't tell me how huge he was going to be....

She tries to stay cool; after all she has faced death (mostly from pits) many times before, but this time, she just can't keep it together, and that feeling of panic builds and builds despite all the help and preparation she was given, and she flat-out freaks out. She drops her bow and runs. Yellow Triangle is my bow.

Details of Freaking Out:

Panicked wrote:
A panicked creature must drop anything it holds and flee at top speed from the source of its fear, as well as any other dangers it encounters, along a random path. It can’t take any other actions. In addition, the creature takes a –2 penalty on all saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks. If cornered, a panicked creature cowers and does not attack, typically using the total defense action in combat. A panicked creature can use special abilities, including spells, to flee; indeed, the creature must use such means if they are the only way to escape.

So, to take a random path I am going to roll d4s (1=N, 2=E, 3=S, 4=W). Top Speed with haste is 30x4x2=240? Is that right? Help me out if I get it wrong, please.

Direction: 1d4 ⇒ 2 --> can go 10 feet.

Zadira runs into a wall, but she still needs to get away.

Direction: 1d4 ⇒ 4 --> can go 120 feet.

She finds a better way out, and bumps Marco and Vuzi trying to get past them and away. She then runs into that undead guy. presuming she doesn't see him as a threat? Your call, Choon. If she does, she would run back the opposite way to get away I am guessing. She can't get past him, but she still needs to get away.

Direction: 1d4 ⇒ 1 --> can go 100 feet.

She is still panicked and wants to go farther, so she decides to open the door. She can't yet because it is a move action and she only has 10 feet of movement left, so she kind of just cowers in the corner, exhausted from running, but not planning to stop.

How long am I panicked for?
