Quasit raises an eyebrow in disconcerted confusion as Hace seems to enter some sort a trance as he stares at the door. She looks questioningly at Maka.
”Uhh... what’s he doing? Is he ok?” she mutters to the monk sotto voce.

Fin looks at Hace and shrugs; he quietly moves to the door and checks it out...

Fin shrugs yet again. "You may do as you wish...but after all the deaths and near deaths our fellowship has suffered thus far, I will be going all out...and I assume those we'll be facing will be doing the same...

Quasit is obviously in a good mood, and listens to this interchange with amusement, oddly enough. She turns to Sakitu.
"I love it when Fin gets ruthless." she quips, semi-confidentially.
Then she turns her attention to Hace and speaks to him like a mother waking a sleeping child.
"Hace? Still thinking, buddy?"

due to size of enemies, the internal walls of slide 7 are not there, the windows are covered with no light inside
the guardhouse looks quiet, and well worn, there seems to be no activity noticable coming from the inside

Sakitu giggles. "Yeah, I know. He seems so serious." She watches Hace for a moment then makes another comment to Quasit. "Looks like it might get dangerous. I'm going to give myself some protection." She waves her hand over her body starting at her face and all the way down past her waist. As she does a magical energy force wraps around her.
Cast mage armor on myself.

"I think its a good idea if we go in the front door...wait, I normally would say that's a bad idea, huh. I guess I have a gut feeling or something." Hace says as he follows the group to the front door.

"Yeah, they probably assume we'll go through the back door. Way to out think them Hace!" Maka said as she moved towards the front door.
Unless prompted otherwise, Maka will open the door.

Quasit just looks at Hace in bemusement, keeping whatever smart-ass thing she has in mind to herself.
As Maka goes for the door, Quasit moves up to stand beside it, putting her back to the wall and pulling out her shortsword, expecting things to get ugly quickly.

Bulvi, knowing he's not as quiet holds back and allows the sneakier members of the group approach first as he suspects they might make some better progress that way.

Sakitu moves close to Fin and draws her own bow. "If any fighting starts I can enchant your arrows."
I'll put cold steel on Fin's arrows once we have something to shoot at.

the door isn't locked but it doesn't move, as if it is barred on the inside, however you do hear a voice on the other side, gruff and rough

"We want you to stop robbing people." Maka said in a booming, fierce tone. "Also we want Nadya's uncle...umm..." Maka turned towards her friends, a slightly panicked look on her face. "I forgot his name!" She whispered loudly.

Quasit tries to hide her amusement. She fails.
"Smooth." she whispers back with an 'OK' sign.
"Just punch in the door and let's get this over with, k?"

Hace tries to hurl a fireball in the the guard room!...but nothing happens other than him waving his arms around. "Well, that would have been really cool if worked, Maka."

Quasit stifles a chortle and looks wide-eyed at the others.
"Just go away? What is he, twelve?" she whispers.
She shrugs quickly then turns her head back to the door to speak to the person on the other side.
"Sorry, we weren't clear. We have money for you. We want to pay the tax for Ringeirr. How much is it again? One hundred? Two hundred?"
She shakes her coin purse for emphasis, then puts it away quickly and readies her sword in case the lie works.

quasit can hear some scuffling from behind the door, as well as things being knocked over, though sounds more like it being bumped and knocked over then being thrown, but there is no reply from the voice

ok since the door is down a couple things happen, Fin I'll start with you

the door breaks open, and fin doesn't notice anyone right away
Maka notices a large hook comes crashing down at her
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26 hit
Damage: 2d8 + 7 ⇒ (8, 7) + 7 = 22
upon seeing Maka being struck, fin releases the arrow at the hand that had the hook
hitting his target
