I think since Quasit is readying an action, Maka could easily give her a head-fake indicating she needs to move before the fairy reappears to attack. So yes, she can do that.

When the evil fairy rakes its freezing claws along her arms, Quasit gives a little shriek of agony and jumps back a step. "Little creep!" she says angrily as she looks down at the freshly oozing blood dripping into the snow.

... the wounds close up and the pain subsides as fast as it came.
She looks at Hace and grins. "Oh I could get used to this. Remind me to bake you cookies next time we get near a kitchen. I make a mean macaroon."

Quasit looks down at her sword and frowns. Suddenly she tosses it aside, reaches into her pack and pulls out an alchemist fire. "Maka, I think you've got the right idea. Let's keep throwing fire at this thing til we melt it. These winter fey seem to hate it."
She throws the alchemist fire at the spot she last saw the Murder Wasp.

Normally she is able to shrug off the strain of the constant attacks but today she just can't. "I don't know if I can keep doing this. I mean, I guess we have to. But it's too hard."
She eyes the cabin warily. "Do we really want to open that door?"

”Sure, why not?” says Quasit mordantly. ”What’s another ambush at this point? Plus there might be more brandy in there. My sippy flask is empty.”
She steps over and gives Sakitu a brisk rub on the head. ”Sweetie, I get it. You know I do. This is all so ugly and depressing. All this pointless fighting and killing. Sometimes I can’t sleep at night when I start thinking about all the things we’ve had to do. And this is coming from someone used to dodging gangsters and city guards for a living. I suppose that’s part of why I feel so at sea here. I’m used to being able to talk my way out of trouble, or being able to dodge trouble and hide, or choosing to avoid a needlessly risky set-up. But lately it just seems like we’re on a treadmill of monsters and horrors jumping out of the trees at us at every turn. And our only chance to get off the treadmill is to keep walking it. So I get it.”
She offers her friend a hand up. ”But at least we’ll do it together, right? That’s something to hold onto anyway.”
