So I just learned that one of my family members has contracted COVID. He's self-isolating and we've all been triple-vaxxed, but it's still pretty scary.
Ya. I had it a while back. Wasn't too bad for me, but it hit my wife pretty hard.
Yikes. I've lost a few friends to Covid. No bueno. :(
I've lost least 5 co workers, 3 family friends, and a few people I know have lost parents. Very serious. 1st time I got it way back at the very beginning felt like dying. the second time, this past January wasn't too bad, after being vaxxed.
It's definitely no joke
I have managed to avoid getting it at all or having anyone I know well getting it. I know of people who have died from it but they weren't people I knew very well or had any real connection to. A lot of people at work have had it but work took a very firm stance on testing and masking and cleaning so the spread was extremely limited.

Ok, to move things forward:
* Sheila Heidmarch can use her Pathfinder contacts to get y'all transport to Kaer Maga, which is a journey that will take a little while. There may be a side adventure (to help you level up, b/c you're supposed to be level 8 before you get to the city).
* Magnimar has, as noted in the gameplay thread, a magic item purchase limit of 8k GP, so that means there's a 75% chance to find any magic item of that price or less, if you want to do any last-minute shopping.
* If you want to do something that will take a few days (like retraining, making a magic item, or handling personal business in the city), now's the time, then we can sort that out and you can get on the river to Kaer Maga!
Any crafting or retraining to be done by anyone?

Based on item crafting rules it should take 1 day to get my armor upgraded to +1, and I can have the same done for my shield in the same time frame (assuming two different enchanters)

So what's cool is if you can do 1/2 price the same 2000g that it would normally cost to so +1 armor and +1 shield, would actually cover also enhancing the shield as a weapon (has to be enchanted separately)
+1 armor (1000g)
+1 shield (1000g)
shield as +1 weapon (2000g)
=4000g at half price = 2000g

Yeah, the 3,509gp 215sp is what each party member gets from the split of the unclaimed items (not counting consumables like potions) is sold off.
Since Trendon comes in at WBL he's not included in this split but will be going forward.

As a question when it comes to crafting. Headbands and belts for stats are transmutation effects, which I effectively do not have on my spell list. Am I still able to craft those using the increased DC for not having the requirement? Would that increase be greater since it is a forbidden school for me?
As far as I know it's just the increased DC. I don't remember anything about forbidden schools influencing the crafting process.

Don't look at me, I'm a spontaneous caster, so my list is sharply limited!
Note that making a +2 headband or belt (for one stat) when you don't have the prerequisite spell is just Spellcraft DC 18, so that shouldn't be too hard to hit.
Alright then, I have grabbed 3kgp of enchanting components, and converted 1000 gp into misc gemstones which would include gems. I still had the 500 gp voucher so that was factored into this.
