Snatching his shield up in front of him, Fror nods to Dart before calling out "Hello you missed, but if you shoot again I will hurt you, we are coming in so open up"

Heart racing, Maidie snatches a small strip of leather from her spell component pouch and presses it against her chest as she utters a string of arcane incantations. The feeling of protective energy spreading to envelop her feels reasuring, and she reaches for her acid flask, prepared to face the hidden attackers.

Dart places a hand on maidies shoulder then dive rolls in once the door if open enough. Preparing to throw the dagger in his hand. any rolls you particularly want?

The door isn't open enough and there's stuff piled up against it on the other side. It'll take 2 more strength checks to get it open enough.

Having heard no response, Fror hefts his shield up and runs at the door.

Shrugging off Dart's hand, Maidie mutters"Quit shoving me, Dart. I'm perfectly capable of moving on my own power. Here, this should give us cover while Fror gets the door open."

She speaks an arcane phrase and spreads her hands in a semi-circle, and thick mist spreads around her, quickly filling the entire corridor.

Well, I guess I can give it a go, Fror. You really HAVE gotten soft Elias chuckles as he sets his shoulder to try to break down the door

Elias rams the door and debris falls from behind it and it opens a little more. You here a crossbow being loaded and then fffftt! 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25, Elias takes a bolt in the arm damage: 1d8 + 1d8 ⇒ (1) + (8) = 9

Remember Maidie cast obscuring mist. If the shooter is right mext to Elias, he gets 20% miss chance. If the shooter is further away, 50% miss chance. And if you rolled double damage from a crit, shouldn't it be confirmed first?

I guess I did say natural 1 and 20s don't need to be rerolled for confirmation

Elias only takes 1 point of damage as the bolt leaves a 4 inch line of blood along his cheek

Elias touches his cheek, and sighs as he looks at the blood on his fingers as he pulls it away. He once again sets his shoulder as he tries to break down the door.

Elias crashes through the door on his 2nd attempt, sending all the obstructions flying backwards. A man is standing against the back wall shaking as he tries to load another bolt. Failing at the task, he drops it to the ground and cowers before you. D.d.dont hurt me! he cries out.

Following Ekias in, Fror assesses the man to see if he really is scared.

The dead animated and started attacking everyone. I managed to get away and barricaded myself in here. My sister and I got separated. I only pray that she survived the onslaught like I did.

Undead, you say? Elias grumbles and deeply sighs, just what we need... Where were you when they attacked?

"Yes where were you? Was it further in? or were you by the door? I am afraid we found a large number of skeletons by the front door, along with the bodies of two people, I hope that wasn't your sister?"
