If everyone is open to it, I actually created a google hangouts room a while ago but was waiting to share it until my busy season ended (taxes, yesterday). If a few of you are opposed then that's OK-- I could set up the room for us to notify each other when turns are, but any game strategy we could continue to hold in this thread. Seelah and I just finished the Season of the Runelords adventure path and we used a google hangouts for the majority of the campaign. Most (all?) of us felt that it was extremely beneficial, though I realize it may not be for everyone which is why I didn't require it for signing up for this table.
Just let me know if you'd be interested in the link and I can share the link here.

![]() |

Potentially a yes on the google group.
I was curious if we plan on continuing playing after Outpost ends here in a week or so. I'd be on-board to at least finish out this Deck, I think it has a couple more scenarios in it. I (potentially) have my local PFS Group looking at doing Mummy's Mask, and would probably look to continue this PC with them when they are ready for 3-2.

BR redeux |

Okay yeah, another thing I was waiting to discuss--
I plan to continue running this table for however long and for however many of you are interested. If some of you want to drop off for one reason or another (not interested, or a local group, life too crazy at the moment, dog ate your cards, etc) then that is totally OK. Just let me know what your plans are.
If you're involved in other tables, check with your BR/GM about what they plan to do after Outpost ends on April 30. Some of them do have plans to stop I believe, though i think quite a few of us are continuing as long as there is interest

Flenta by Greenclaw |

I'm happy with the Google hangouts group. Also in for another game and it is working well.
Also keen to continue on as long as the game runs for. Having too much fun to want to stop now.

BR redeux |

Okay, here's the link for the google hangouts chat *click*. You should just be able to join by clicking the link. I'll disable link joining once we get everyone who is interested into it. After that just send a hangout message to me at am.fear.liath.mor1@gmail.com and i can get anyone else added in if they changed their mind later. I'm not going to make this required, so if you don't want to try it or if you try it and don't like it then no problem. It's just a useful resource to help ask questions and what not
And Raheli Poison damage is a different type of damage that can only be reduced by cards or affects that indicate that it can stop poison damage. An example might be "recharge this card to reduce poison or combat damage by 1" or "reveal this card to reduce all damage by 3" would both be able to reduce poison damage. If you have an armor that just says "reveal this to reduce combat damage by 1" then that wouldn't prevent you from the poison damage. The location you're at is *kind of* nice that you get the poison damage instead of combat damage. One thing to note is that this scenario does increase poison damage by 1 meaning you should've discarded another card when you failed the barrier check.
small strategy note: the elemental treaty locations will help protect you against elemental damage. I would use them. It just wasn't a smart idea to start at one of those locations since they would move once your turn started. Elemental treaty text is in the "in this scenario" text of each game update.

![]() |

Joined the hangout.
redid my hand, discarded an extra one for the poison dmg.
Also, I notice the spreadsheet likes to deal me freshly discarded and/or recharged cards. Is there a fix for that, or is that normal? I've been going onto the Don't Look tab and deleting off the discards, which prevents them from coming back, but doesn't help on the Not So Random draws from the deck....

BR redeux |

@Seelah, The new version has a sideboard which is good for like banishing a card you intend to add back into your deck immediately (because it is basic or it lists you as an owner). Outside of that they're pretty similiar in functionality.
@Raheli, I'll take a look. I know big errors happen when you start copying and pasting instead of typing the names out or using PASTE VALUES (ctrl+shift+V). If you paste like normal it updates some hidden formulas which can break the spreadsheet. If not tonight I'll get to it tomorrow. Worst case scenario I send you a fresh spreadsheet with the same info.

![]() |

Cool, thanks. I don't know I'm doing to mess that up so much! I'm just typing things in the fields. Although, I do use either Backspace or Delete to clear cells, maybe that's doing it?

Nice, I won one!
But which one? PFS Please!: 1d4 ⇒ 2

BR redeux |

Hey all, just a heads up I will be out of town this weekend and unable to make game updates. I'll have limited internet access via phone if questions come up on hangouts.
If you happen to finish before Monday, here's the scenario reward:
The party gets all the boons remaining in location decks.
Traders: Auction House, Falsin Deekcharacters finishing the first scenario at their tier gain a skill point.
So if you end up winning and want to keep things moving then make a list of the boons from location decks and start doing your deck upgrade/skill feat preferences. Otherwise I can put the list together when I get back on Monday. Let me know if you have questions, thanks!

BR redeux |

Also, Looks like Hawkmoon made a thread for outpost stories (click) if you would like to share your experience(s).

BR redeux |

Not sure everyone's plans for memorial day / paizo con, but I will be out of town doing some hiking in the backlands this weekend. From about noon on Friday until Noon on Monday (EST) I expect to be out of cell service. Feel free to take your turns if you're able, I just won't be able to answer any questions or make any game updates.

Flenta by Greenclaw |

Flenta is interested in the ally Neferekhu unless anybody else has a claim. Would take Card Feat: Ally [X]3 if that were the case to add it to the deck.
For card updgrade:
Blessing B: 1d1000 ⇒ 834 Blessing of Samurai
Weapon 1: 1d1000 ⇒ 861 Cat-O'-Nine-Tails
Will likely visit Sunburst Market again to replace Conch Shell with Pahmet Clansman.
Happy someone else to have a turn with the Aspis ally this game.

Redgar's ACG Characters |

Given the choices, and because a Staff of Healing seems like a Good Idea, Radillo will try to acquire one of the Item 2's...
1d1000 ⇒ 443
Will almost certainly hit up Hadden Hoppert.
Given the number of cool loot items that no-one else seems to want, I'll go for an Item rather than a Spell upgrade slot. (Perhaps unwise, given my powers, but we'll see... .)
I'd take the Aspis Ally, though could also defer if someone else would like it.
I'll not take Elemental Treaty this time.

BR redeux |

FYI - I'll be out of town starting Friday June 29th and will be returning sometime in the evening July 5th. I won't have access to the database to make game updates but I should have limited access to the internet in the mornings to answer questions.
Also as a reminder, the Cards against Gnomanity pbp event starts July 9th. This game DOES qualify for the new ACG boons.
If you haven't seen the event thread, check it out HERE
For this game in particular, this could get pretty messy without regular updates. If everyone wants to continue then I'd suggest something like this:
At end of turn I roll the scenario dice
cards moved: 1d4 ⇒ 2
And then i move that many cards from the bottom of the location deck to the next location separating them with ***********. Then on next players turn they can tell where the bottom of the location deck is supposed to be.

Hey all, Now that we've started AD3 we have some options to consider due to this Adventure Path rule:
"After you begin In Search of a Sage, when you would banish a bane that has the Basic trait, remove it from the game; when you banish a boon that has the Basic trait, you may remove it from the game."
This means the basic banes always get removed, but we can choose if we want to remove basic boons from the game. How would you like to handle this? Here are some ideas, feel free to make your own:
1. Always remove every basic boon when it is banished unless you specifically say otherwise.
2. Always remove every basic boon when it is banished but we'll have a list of a few basic cards that we'll never banish, such as Cure or Elemental Treaty, Remove Curse)
3. Same as number 2, but never remove basic allies (more likely to acquire allies and get an extra explore)
4. Never remove anything (makes it easier to acquire stuff. My local group likes this method. I'd rather have a shot at better deck upgrades, personally).
5. Something else suggested by group?? Flenta may have some thoughts on how to handle the spells at least, since this will impact the card pool she's getting random spells from.
For reference, Here is the list of basic cards:
Card Type Quanity
Camel Ally 2
Dhabba Ally 3
Embalmer Ally 2
Pahmet Clansman Ally 3
Porcupine Ally 3
Shock Lizard Ally 2
Tomb Raider Ally 3
Armored Kilt Armor 3
Crocodile Skin Armor Armor 2
Crocodile Skin Shield Armor 1
Tussah Silk Coat Armor 3
Blessing of the Ancients Blessing 16
Blessing of the Elements Blessing 16
Acid Flask Item 3
Antitoxin Item 1
Bladeguard Item 2
Compass Item 2
Crowbar Item 1
Fire Ward Gel Item 1
Flame Staff Item 1
Flash Freeze Item 2
Holy Water Grenade Item 1
Magnifying Glass Item 1
Noxious Bomb Item 2
Osirion History Guide Item 2
Acid Jet Spell 2
Cure Spell 3
Elemental Treaty Spell 2
Fireblade Spell 2
Immolate Spell 1
Lightning Touch Spell 1
Remove Curse Spell 2
Unshakable Chill Spell 2
Viper Strike Spell 1
Blowgun Weapon 3
Khopesh Weapon 1
Kopis Weapon 4
Kukri Weapon 3
Torch Weapon 3
Whip Weapon 1
The document linked under the campaign header/traders for sunburst market should give you card descriptions for most/all of these if you want to know what they do.
If you want my opinion, I prefer option #2 and choose to never remove the following cards: cure, remove curse, elemental treaty. Though it is completely up to the group on how you want to handle it.

Redgar's ACG Characters |

I will concur w/regards Option 2 with the suggested exceptions. Are there any basic Allies that we really like, however?
None of the deck upgrades are really calling to me... I could maybe tweak my spells or blessings with a Spell B or Blessing B, or possibly snag an Item 1 or 2 in place of my Codex?
Also, any preferences from the group as to Radillo's starting point? She would normally go to the Great Library of Tephu, to fish for those 3 spells, but if there is somewhere better she could do that instead.
I think I'll be keeping Augury this time, unless the group thinks that would be too dangerous?
I plan to snag Tablet of Languages Lost + Elemental Treaty, and not take Remove Curse, unless someone else would like either/both? I also plan to keep the Mask of the Forgotten Pharoah... again, unless someone else would like it.
(Some of the remaining Loot looks like it might be quite helpful, too... but alas, too few item slots!)
Trader will be Hoppert, of course. :)

Flenta by Greenclaw |

Option 2 sounds good, although Flenta will likely be keen for at least some of the Spell B to be kept to be used for her recycling spell power. I can have a look through the Mummy's Mask deck and make a short list of these, if we like?
Still thinking through Deck Upgrade options. None jump out too much but I'll post a final decision on that in the next few hours after I get home from work this evening.

BR redeux |

Flenta, I checked and there are three non-basic spells that are arcane without an adventure deck number that you would always have access to. they are:
"For your combat check, discard this card to use your Arcane or Divine skill + 1d8. If the bane is a monster, you may use the result for any additional combat checks to defeat it.
After playing this card, if you do not have either the Arcane or Divine skil"
When you would encounter a weapon, a spell, or an item during your exploration, discard this card to banish it; you may explore again.
After playing this card, if you do no"
After playing this card, if you do not have either the Arcane or Divine skill, banish it; otherwise, you may succeed at an Arcan"

Flenta by Greenclaw |

Ok, great! Thanks. I looked as well. What about Acid Splash, Augury and Acute Senses? I didn't think they were basic, either?
For deck upgrade:
Item 1: 1d1000 ⇒ 570
If Flenta ends up getting the item, no traders for her this time, although she'll go along with anyone else who wants to visit one to help them get a better deal.

BR redeux |

Doh, I messed up the filters the first time. Or maybe I didn't scroll to top of the list? Sorry about that.
Yes, Acid Splash, Acute Senses, Augury, Clinging Venom, Fiery Glare, Good Omen.
The only other non-basic Adventure-B cards are Holy Light and Find Traps which lack the arcane trait.
After playing this card, if you do not have the Arcane skill, banish it; otherwise, succeed at an Arcane 6 check to recharge this card instead of discarding it."
After"

Redgar's ACG Characters |

As a general note, Radillo, selfishly, would prefer a small Spell B set to improve the chance of being able to get spell upgrades. (Not sure if it typical to be sitting with only two spell upgrades, both to Spell One, after 2 AD's? I realize it could well be, and I'm just greedy for all the arcane power... :))
(Cure + Elemental Treaty seemed like good inclusions to help us power-explore and avoid death. Remove Curse seemed like a good keep too... though thinking about it, have we needed more Curse removal than that which is already available through Loot?)
But whatever works best for the group is good for her!

Hey All --
I'm just looking through the Sign up sheet for the Assault of Absalom special taking place during the Gameday convention
I just wanted to make sure all of you were aware of the special and had a chance to sign-up if you're interested. Assault of Absalom is a multi-table, cross-campaign special. Meaning that actions or inactions from your table can directly impact another table, and vice versa. It will be fun, so I definitely encourage to sign-up.
Also, there's a good chance that once the current tables fill up, I will be opening up an additional table or two for more people to be able to sign-up. If/when that happens, I'll most likely need to put our current game on hold for the duration of the special (Oct1 - Nov 12). So for this reason, I again strongly encourage each of you to sign-up for the special if you haven't already (there's a limit of signing up for one-table so you can't sign up for multiple tables). If we have to take a break from our campaign for the special then we'll pick up afterwards.
Also note that the special can be played two ways-- You can either play for tier advancement, or play for non-tier advancement. If you end up signing up with a character from our current game, I ask you please don't play for tier advancement. It will be ~4 scenarios long and would take away from the balance of our current game and can mess up your character progression. So if you play with your current character, play for non-tier advancement (you'll still get the rewards, just not the tier feats). Alternatively you can always create a new character or use a pre-gen to play in the special and then choose to play for tier advancement or non-tier advancement.
Anyway, let me know if you have questions, or feel free to also post in the linked thread! Thanks,

Message from the Head Box Runner:
----------------
Hello players!
We have received the final piece of our convention support, the special convention player rewards!
First off, if you are a BRAND-NEW player to the Adventure Card Guild (as in, the character you're using in your game is your #XXXX-1001 and you have not played any other characters in organized play) you can assign the Welcome to Pathfinder Reward to that character:
Society Initiate: You may only assign this reward to the first PFSACG character that you create. At the end of a scenario, if your character is dead, you may cross this reward off; your character is no longer dead. If you have a role card, you may instead cross this reward off to gain a card feat.
In addition, EVERY player AND box runner is going to have a 10% chance after each scenario of scoring a reward. These rewards can be assigned to any of your PFSACG characters... they don't have to apply to the character you were using. If you roll a 1 or a 20 on your d20 roll at the end of a scenario, you'll get to choose from any one of the following faction rewards:
Note about faction rewards: Faction rewards are a special type of benefit tied to the factions that use their considerable influence within the Pathfinder Society to pursue their own agendas. You may apply no more than one faction reward to a given character at one time. You may use no more than one power from a faction reward per scenario. Each faction reward specifies additional requirements that, once fulfilled, grant additional uses of the reward’s power. Once you have used all of the powers from a faction reward, including the powers that have additional requirements, you may assign another faction reward to that character.
Player Reward 1: Concordance Faction Reward
[ ] [ ] Elemental Scholar (The Concordance Faction Reward): You may check a box that precedes this reward to reduce Acid, Cold, Electricity, Fire, or Poison damage dealt to you by 2.
You may use this reward up to 2 additional times if you fulfill the following requirements. When you fulfill the requirement, check the box that precedes it; when you use the reward, cross that line off.
[ ] Exceed the difficulty of a check to acquire a card that has the Acid, Cold, Electricity, Elemental, Fire, or Poison trait by 6 or more.
[ ] Exceed the difficulty of a check to defeat a monster that has the Elemental trait by 6 or more.
Player Reward 2: Dark Archive Reward
[ ] Collector of Wonders (Dark Archive Faction Reward): On your turn, you may check the box that precedes this reward to draw an item that has the Alchemical or Magic trait or a spell from the box.
You may use this reward up to 2 additional times if you fulfill the following requirements. When you fulfill the requirement, check the box that precedes it; when you use the reward, cross that line off.
[ ] Acquire a boon that has the Book trait, a boon that lists Knowledge in its check to acquire, or a spell.
[ ] Succeed at a Knowledge check to defeat a bane.
Player Reward 3: Grand Lodge Reward
[ ] [ ] Society Agent (Grand Lodge Faction Reward): You may check an unchecked box that precedes this reward to automatically succeed at your check to temporarily close a location.
You may use this reward up to 2 additional times if you fulfill the following requirements. When you fulfill the requirement, check the box that precedes it; when you use the reward, cross that line off.
[ ] Acquire an ally that lists Diplomacy in its check to acquire.
[ ] Close a location on the first turn of a scenario.
Player Reward 4: Liberty's Edge Reward
[ ] [ ] Freedom Fighter (Liberty’s Edge Faction Reward): After you roll on your Charisma check, Diplomacy check, or check attempted before you act, check a box that precedes this reward to add or subtract 1 die; take the new result.
You may use this reward up to 2 additional times if you fulfill the following requirements. When you fulfill the requirement, check the box that precedes it; when you use the reward, cross that line off.
[ ] Defeat a monster that has the Captain or Gnoll trait.
[ ] Succeed at a Charisma or Diplomacy non-combat check to defeat a villain or a henchman.
Player Reward 5: The Exchange Reward
[ ] Master of Trade (Exchange Faction Reward): After the roll on your check to acquire a weapon, an armor, or an item, check the box that precedes this reward to add 1d6; take the new result.
You may use this reward up to 2 additional times if you fulfill the following requirements. When you fulfill the requirement, check the box that precedes it; when you use the reward, cross that line off.
[ ] All of the cards offered by a trader you visit have an adventure deck number lower than that of the current scenario.
[ ] Succeed at a Craft non-combat check to acquire or defeat.
Player Reward 6: Silver Crusade Reward
[ ] [ ] Cleanser of Abominations (Silver Crusade Faction Reward): On your turn, you may check an unchecked box that precedes this reward to banish a scourge or a card that has the Curse trait.
You may use this reward up to 2 additional times if you fulfill the following requirements. When you fulfill the requirement, check the box that precedes it; when you use the reward, cross that line off.
[ ] Defeat a villain or henchman that has the Demon, Fiend, or Undead trait.
[ ] Play a card that shuffles at least 1 card from another character’s discard pile into his deck.
Player Reward 7: Sovereign Court Reward
[ ] [ ] Lawful Citizen (Sovereign Court Faction Reward): You may check an unchecked box that precedes this reward to evade a monster you encounter or to ignore a power that would move you.
You may use this reward up to 2 additional times if you fulfill the following requirements. When you fulfill the requirement, check the box that precedes it; when you use the reward, cross that line off.
[ ] Succeed at a check required to move.
[ ] Bury or banish an armor to reduce all damage dealt to you to 0.
This is the first online ACG event where we've been able to give out rewards like this, so I'm SUPER excited to offer them to you all! Good luck, and I hope each of you wins at least one!!
Tyler
I have confirmed the "Society Initiate" boon will be given to any of you with a charcter # of 1001 for this game. I show that as Adowyn and Flenta
