Noz
|
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
Noz immediately sprints into action running through the trees with draconic ferocity. He runs up to the edge of the river and soars through the air landing on the other side ready for action against the minotaur.
Dragon Style (Combat)
You call upon the spirit of dragonkind, gaining greater resilience, mobility, and fierceness from the blessing of these great beings.
Benefit: While using this style, you gain a +2 bonus on saving throws against sleep effects, paralysis effects, and stunning effects. You ignore difficult terrain when you charge, run, or withdraw. You can also charge through squares that contain allies. Further, you can add 1-1/2 times your Strength bonus on the damage roll for your first unarmed strike on a given round.

Janira, looks back past the tree line and is relieved to see you all. She takes a step back, and throws a bag at the feet of the minotaur, hoping to hamper it.
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
reflex: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
The range foot bag explodes at the beasts feet. It tries to get out of the way, but isn't quite quick enough and is stuck to the ground. It growls in frustration, and takes a mighty hack at the goo.

Double move.
-Kyras-

Kyras double moves through the under brush.
"Gah, darn bushes! Where is a goat when you need it? Hey minotaur! Why don't you do your job and eat some grass?!" Kyras yells, hoping to draw its attention from the others.

Dolgo takes a double move through the underbrush with bow directly South.

Luciano, slips a bit when starting to cross the log, but manages to keep his balance and crosses the other side without too much incidence.
Janira, seeing help she smiles, Keep up the teamwork everyone, you can do this.
Continue inspire courage
The minotaur, takes another hack at the goo on his feet. After breaking off the goo, he turns towards Noz, the annoying gnat who took a swat at his "special" parts. The angered minotaur slams his axe into Noz's shoulder. The sound of bones, snapping fills the air. Janira's eyes go wide, as she witnesses the horrific blow, but is pleased to see his armor deflect the worst of the blow that could have been.

I meant to curve around to that position, to avoid an AoO, but I can stop 5' north, if you prefer, and still 5' step in this round - either way, it does not make much difference :-)
Wincing as he sees the power of the minotaur's swing (and just how lucky Noz was!), Hans takes a deep breath, starts frothing at the mouth, and swings at the creature!
Greatsword, Rage, Inspire Courage: 1d20 + 5 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 5 + 2 + 1 = 28, for 2d6 + 10 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (2, 5) + 10 + 3 + 1 = 21 damage.
Crit Confirmation: 1d20 + 5 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 5 + 2 + 1 = 21, for 2d6 + 10 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (4, 5) + 10 + 3 + 1 = 23 *ADDITIONAL* damage.
44 damage should make a dent in the minotaur ;-)

Hans, furious about the blow dealt to Noz, steps forward, foam frothing from his mouth and an anger in his eyes only rivaled by the most angry legendary beasts. He takes a mighty swing, arcing upwards towards the beast. It slices into the minotaurs thigh muscle, almost down to the bone. With his unbridled strength, he digs the blade deeper to show how pissed off he really is.
The blade, exits, as smoothly and forcefully as it entered. Blood doesn't flow, it gushes forth from the leg, somehow it doesn't go straight through cutting the leg completely off. The bull stands, eyes seem hollow and a "far off" look is in its eyes.

The minotaur looks as Luciano creates a cone of fluorescent and vibrant colors to envelop him. His senses are momentarily on overdrive, but easily refocuses his attention. It continues to breathe heavy.
Janira, seeing the fight in it near the end, decides to let it go. Better to let it run, then continue to fight and see her or one of her pupils feel the weight of the axe.
The minotaur turns and runs away, as far away from the group as possible. The reward is beyond the risk in the minotaur's eye.
full round withdraw, provoking no AOO from nearby PC's. Unless someone has a ranged weapon (aka Kyras or Dolgo) who wish to take a final shot, combat is otherwise over

Hans, you cannot kill something that is already dead lol
Kyras, takes a deep breathe, refusing to let the horrible creature escape after tormenting them so. He lines up a shot, at his arrow flies through the air piercing the minotaur through its cold and malicious heart. Blood spurts for but a moment, as the beast falls to the ground, motionless.
Afterwards, Janira will thank all of you for your bravery in the face of danger and death. She looks at the wound in Noz's shoulder, and sighs, I used up what few spells I have escaping the beast myself. Please use the items I gave you back at the entrance to heal your wounds.
As you search the minotaur, all that is found is a large broken battleaxe, and (3) large javelins.
A few moments pass, to allow you to recoup, and tend the various wounds, she than looks around to the group as a whole, How does everyone feel, have you explored the caves to the extent that to want. This is your confirmation, so you tell me when you are finished and we will begin heading back.
So, we have the secret passage left to explore. We can call it here, or explore the final passage, I am game either way :)
-Kyras-
|
If everyone agrees, Kyras will say. "Actually Janira, we found a secret passage in there that we have not yet explored. We were just about to go back and find out what is there."
| DM Stylz |
After the group tends some wounds, and prepares, you head back in the way you came out. You see the gillman, looking at all of you has you walk by, Thank you for helping to ease the hostility in these caves. I can sense that all is calm, and it is safe for my kind, as well as anyone else who wants to pay homage to these caves to come and do so. I see you are on a mission, so please don't let me stop you
You travel back to the skeleton room, and the secret passage which you found earlier. You travel down the winding passage, to a section of caves. You hear Janira, whistling a tune, as she works on the paperwork to turn into her superiors back in Absalom.
Perception checks please from all
All acrobatics checks are increased by +4, due to the slick conditions of the cave, and the steady incline going from west to east.

Kyras, despite looking beyond a few of his companions sees a slight shimmer in the distance.

The crazy barbarian's charge along with a sling buzzing by his head take down the mold. It dissolves into a puddle, you continue down the passage another 120 feet of twisting caves and exit near the area you were just at. You see Janira whistling a tune while doing paperwork. She looks up, as she hears the noise, Well that was quick. Experience anything exciting or interesting?
