"Yes, I'd be very appreciative of you for that. Any time you want it back, just ask." Kyras smiles as he walks over to Luciano to give him a clap on the back and to get the quarterstaff.

Well Well. We have done it. Never thought I would see bones move like that.
Hans begins to sing a little tune in honor of the first hard fought victory as he walks about looking at the remains.

Noz presents a wand of cure light wounds and a wand of burning hands.

The note reads: My time is nigh! Every week, my army grows. These fish people, what fools! Each time they come to worship whatever fake god they serve, they instead serve me by giving me fresh vessels for which to create my invading force. Soon, I will have enough foot soldiers to leave this cave and begin to carve my empire. My recent experiments have proven quite effective. I am enriching the animation process, making the fish corpses twice as aggressive and fierce. Soon, all will know the name of...
Luciano, scours the room for any clues. In the southwestern corner he finds a neatly wrapped bundle, with 10 very fine crafted arrows (that ping as magical) as well as an amulet on a chain with a smoky quartz centered in the middle (also magical).
While searching, Luciano also comes across a section of wall, and feels a draft coming from behind a seam. He's found a secret passage, should the group wish to explore.
options include back to gillman and take other passage or take secret passage?
Luciano Greathouse

"Ahhm....uuhh...Apparently the gillmen did not notice their pilgrims were not returning from their...pilgrimage. That's...interesting, considering a supposed armies worth of them have gone missing. I wonder if the man that wrote this note is still around."
Does the note look particularly old?
He inserts the note between the pages of his journal, safely tucking it away.
Take ten on appraise for 19 on the arrows and amulet.
"Huzzah! A hidden passageway. We could explore it, but it may well lead us to the place these bony fellows came from."
-Kyras-
|
"Um, I'm pretty sure that the non-moving bony fellow here is the one who was creating the undead army."
Then when he hears about the secret passageway, Kyras says "Ooo, a secret passageway? Let's go through it!"
Dolgo Pinkerton
|
Wait all. Let's not forget our mission to explore and report. It is possible that going through this area will lead us to a one way exit from this area. I say we mark the area and make it back here later.
Noz
|
"Noz agrees with Dolgo, there may be some slide or difficult passages that way, Noz thinks we should explore the other tunnel before coming back here. Noz wonders if anyone can use these wands to heal him."
Noz still holds the wands out for someone to take and heal him.
Dolgo Pinkerton

"Sorry Noz, I will help you."
Dolgo takes the wand of cure lt wounds from Noz and uses a charge on him.

Sounds like you are going back to the western passage, map updated :)
The group heads back through the passage and back to where the Gillman is praying st the water. You still see a miniature city carved from this same stone occupies nearly the entire surface. Tiny trinkets such as ancient coins, polished semiprecious stones, and ornately braided loops of string are scattered throughout the diorama, and pale cave frogs clamber atop it. The smooth cavern floor is covered in gravel and pebbles along the edge of the pool, and several foot-long centipedes prowl among the gravel in their search for prey.
You head towards the western passage. The persistent glow of the bluish fungi dimly lights the way deeper below the Kortos Mounts. The tunnels broaden to reveal a shallow river that bisects an immense tunnel stretching to the north and south. To the east a small passage exits the chamber at a steep incline.

Apparently, I missed that the river is a "shallow bog": If a square is part of a shallow bog, it has deep mud or standing water of about 1 foot in depth. It costs 2 squares of movement to move into a square with a shallow bog, and the DC of Acrobatics checks in such a square increases by 2. Will move you accordingly :)

The mites, angry at the invaders attack. A dart hits Dolgo, and grazes his check merely scratching him. The dart thrown at Kyras is more well placed. It slices across his throat. He knows that if there was more force behind it, he may not be slice. Lucky for him, the mite's upper body strength is laughable at best.
The final might stabs at Hans, but fumbles the blade and he easily dodges the incoming blade.
Meanwhile, Noz being unhappy that his companions charged off without him he rushed forward to engage the nearest enemy. He punches the mite right in the skull, he feels the skull try to shrug off the damage but the sheer force behind his fist causes the creature to slump to the ground, bleeding out internally.
Refusing to be outdone, the centipede's bite only angers the hulking enemy before it. Hans' eyes focus in on the centipede. With one single arcing swing, his greatsword comes crashing down and cleaving it in two.
Dolgo takes aim, but his shot goes wide. Luciano takes aim and shoots the mite in the chest and dropping the mite.

COMBAT OVER
As the party explores the immediate area, they find nothing of value on the mites, and there is a passageway that leads east from this area, where the mites originally came from.

All allies within 30 feet gain a +1 bonus on Initiative checks, Perception, and Disable Device checks for 1 hour. They also gain a +1 insight bonus on Reflex saves and to AC against traps and when they are flat-footed.
Walking about Dolgo recovers a single arrow then recalls the arrows Luciano discovered.
Lucky, you still got that bundle of arrows? Can I have it as they may bring me better luck if we need it later. Dolgo walks toward Lucky to retrieve the arrows.
Hans, would you like a little touch from this wand I have?
It will be the fourth charge used

The immediate are you are in, you see the three mite corpses, as well as a very squished and DEAD centipede thanks to the angry man known as Hans. You see a passageway leading east. The only other way to go is back to the "skeleton" room and take the hidden passage that was there.
Nobody "identified" the arrows or the brooch that you found, but you do know they are both magical. I think you cast detect magic in the skeleton room iirc

The group proceeds down the passage to the east. You travel for a few hundred feet, through winding, twisting, slippery tunnels. Near the end of the two hundred feet, you hear a familiar voice, the sound of Janira. She has survived, somehow, and she recites, Let us remember the sacrifice of the fabled Yasminbint Faroud, favored of the Ten, who gave her life distracting Zythrustianax, draconic scourge of the Society, so dozens of junior agents could survive. Her act of benevolence is the epitome of cooperation within the Society.
You race forward, through the last feet of tunnel, and out into a wooded area. The moon, shining down on you, you can see clearly, thanks to the full moon above you. You see Janira and the Minotaur locked in battle.

These patches of woodland are also filled with underbrush that behaves as light undergrowth (Core Rulebook 426), creating difficult terrain and concealment. The trees are only a few decades old and do not completely occupy their respective squares. A creature that shares a space with one or more trees benefits from partial cover. The stream is about 10 feet wide and 5 feet deep in this area, and the water moves downstream from east to west at 30 feet per round. Treat this as rough water, which requires a DC 15 Swim check to navigate. A Large creature can walk through the water as though it were difficult terrain with a successful DC 12 Strength check. On a failed Strength check, such a creature is checked and unable to move farther that turn. A 3-foot-diameter tree truck spans the width of the river, creating an impromptu bridge. The trunk is slippery from the splashing water, and crossing it at half speed requires a successful DC 7 Acrobatics check, during which time the creature is treated as flatfooted for moving on a narrow surface. If the creature fails this check, it falls into the water unless it succeeds at a DC 13 Reflex save, in which case it lands prone on the trunk instead. The slope to the west gradually rises to a height of 20 feet, and creatures standing at its highest point benefit from both a commanding view of the battlefield and a clear vantage point for ranged attacks
