Its clearly not the intent of this feat to only boost your reservoir on the first day that you took the feat, and forever afterwards you go back to filling it at 3 + 1/2 arcanist level just like those without the feat.
If they only meant to increase your maximum, the feat's description would only be half as long.

RAW it only increases max reservoir size after the first day.
With some funky argument: The feat applies every day after the arcanist has refilled his arcane reservoir, thus granting both feat effects.
I don't think it requires any funky arguments at all. The feat says you gain 3 more points in your arcane reservoir. Every day the arcanist gains a certain number of arcane points, and with the feat, they "gain three more".

I am changing my stance... kind of.
Benefit: You gain three more points in your arcane reservoir, and the maximum number of points in your arcane reservoir increases by that amount.
The arcanist’s arcane reservoir can hold a maximum amount of magical energy equal to 3 + the arcanist’s level. Each day, when preparing spells, the arcanist’s arcane reservoir f ills with raw magical energy, gaining a number of points equal to 3 + 1/2 her arcanist level. Any points she had from the previous day are lost.
By raw the feat says you gain three more points and your max is increased by 3.
That would mean the day you took the feat your max reservoir is increase by 3 and you gain an additional 3. After that day your reservoir refills as normal. But I do not think that was the intent. I think the phrase "You gain three more points in your arcane reservoir" was intended to adjust the base amount as well as the maximum. This line would serve no purpose if it didn't intend the feat to add to the base as well as the maximum.
While it doesn't say you modify the base or "every day you gain three more", I do think thats the purpose, RAI-wise, but not RAW.
