It is a beautiful day here in the bay area and it got me thinking about putting a list together of your favorite contributors to these threads. Believe it or not the trolls are not as prevelant as you might believe. You can list as many as you wish! I figure this belongs in the advice section as you can visit their individual sites and seek out wisdom.
Let me apologize in advance if I spell your "name" wrong. For me I have found these folks advice to be helpful
Blueluck, Adamantium Dragon, Thalin, DM Arkwright, Leisner, Lamontius, Ravingdork. I know I am missing a bunch
On the top of my head: jiggy, cheapy, gauss, grick, tri omega zero. And propably 20 - 30 others.

Mark Hoover is my hero (for his narrative abilities and ideas). Also Dr. Deth, though sometimes I disagree with him on some points, I generally find him well reasoned.
And the same people others have already mentioned. I feel there is definitely a core group of memebers on this board who really try to provide advice and rules answer to benefit the larger user base and the board is a better place for it I think. I may not always agree with people, but I appreciate their support of the community.

Most of my favorites have been listed, so I'll mention Conman the Bardbarian as one that matches my sense of sarcasm. Mikaze is also love.
Hitdice is also pretty cool. And I was almost remiss enough to forget to mention our evil president. Evil Lincoln is a pillar of our community.

I'll hop on board* and agree that Ashiel and DrDeth are pretty sane, reasonable, friendly folks even when I disagree with them strenuously. I actually feel like I agree with both of them way more than I disagree...the disagreements just seem to come up a lot more in discussion.
I also always find TriOmegaZero, Lemmy, Tacticslion, blackbloodtroll, Jiggy, Cheapy, williamoak, and most of the people listed thus far (as well as several others I'm forgetting, I'm sure) to be nice, reasonable, people who I feel contribute a great deal to the threads they post in.
And, as TOZ notes, Mikaze is love.

There are too many folks to name on the boards who I feel are great contributors to the many subjects discussed here. I have noticed a small number haven't been on as much lately, though, such as Klaus van der Kroft and Deathquaker. I've been missing their insights.

Ain't that the way? People probably see these forums as hotbeds of strife and disagreement, but that's because people usually don't bother to post when they're nodding vigorously in agreement with what's been said. That'd make for some pretty long, boring threads if they did...

All my favorites have been mentioned, but I'll name drop Ravingdork, TOZ, blackbloodtroll, and Mark Hoover as they have had a particularly strong influence on my development as a player and my level of system mastery over the last couple years.
Also, I need to mention Treantmonk. I've never actually seen him post, but any thread such as this needs to have his name in it somewhere.

I've got something akin to four or five people whose names I'm currently trying to remember to put down properly, and can't come up with them (proper first names are not, in the end, good indicators of who I'm talking about, for instance, and spelling some of your handles is... uh, well, without looking at them, Dyslexia+ADD will ensure no one knows who I'm talking about**, like Aelrith/Aelrinths/Aelrynsth/that guy who always signs his name/Aerys Gainsborrough). Plus there are those I'm not currently thinking of that I know I'm going to be kicking myself over shortly.

No, I don't always agree with you guys: in fact, it's fairly regular that I disagree with most of you at some point. Some of you I almost never agree with. I wouldn't trade any of you for another poster, though: please hang around, despite my vehement, repeated, and strong disagreements. I love these forums and the community 'round here. Including you. (Probably.) You rock. (Unless your specific cultural or ethical outlook makes you dislike that turn of phrase, in which case, uh, "I think you are a nifty person that I probably like" instead.) :D
* You know, at some point people are going to think I actually talk like that. Also, Attention Deficit sucks. It didn't used to suck. Now that I'm old, it sucks.

I would also like to add that despite disagreeing with well respected posters on here from time to time, sometimes very fervently and with myself being jerk at time (because I tend to get carried away with arguments) that despite that I respect you after the argument has closed and my temper wanes.

I... am sorry to hear that. Is that... what happened with 3.5Loyalist (though I think he regenerated reincarnated came back as DM_Under_the_Bridge?) and shallowsoul as well? What of Professor Cirenos (I admit: it's been long enough that I don't know how to spell his name anymore, I'm afraid.) If so, that's kind of a shame.

I know we don't agree all the time (especially on the subject of monk levels for a druid build :P), but I respect your opinion (really, I respect others opinion too, but these are the folks I interact with the most).

It'll be a pretty long list if I go through everyone who I think has really shed light on this mind-screwy system for me in the last few months, but I'd like to call attention to the efforts of (in no particular order): Tactic-slion (we made beutiful 'chucks together!), Iorthol who rarely posts anymore but I couldn't have gotten my first homebrew class nearly as well made without him, and Oceanshieldwolf, Excaliburproxy, and Ciaran Barnes for their guidance with all of the other silly crap I've made.
