Matsu Kurisu here.
I am east coast. Tend to be able to post multiple times a day. Early morning, afternoon and mid evening.
Haven't selected character yet.
I have the following teir 2
Alase - Summoner - Arcane / charisma
Yoon - Keneticist - Constitution/ Combat / Fortitude
Teir 1
Radovan - Disable / Diplomacy / Dex / Charisma
Nok-Nok - Disable / Fort / Con / Dex

Leaning towards Alase, however open to team gap suggestions.

Hello! I'm playing Raz on another table, currently Tier 1, we're hoping to get leveled up a bit, if not actually tiered up before the special.

Raz is fun, she specializes in mounts and can even use them to take combat for characters at other locations (They evade, then Raz encounters the monster). I try to put all relevant info in my update posts to accommodate other players using Raz's cards and abilities on their turn.

Raz focuses on Combat, Diplomacy, and a little Divine, and can do the paladin thing of discarding the top of her deck to add 1d6 to any check.

I live in central time, and often post in the morning, between 8 and 10, periodically throughout the work day, or at night, typically 8-10 pm.

Never played with Raz before, the evade and encounter Mechanic sounds cool.
I am leaning towards Alase as I enjoy her a lot and she is a well developed teir 2 with a lot of good card.
However I may end up playing Nok-Nok to cover disable / con / fort.
Nok-Nok is a brand new, unplayed character:-)
Will see what the other two are playing and what our mix is like


Hi all! I didn't get this email, it was forwarded to me by tomehound.... so not sure what is going on there. If there have been other emails, I didn't get those either.

I am on the east coast, and can normally check in fairly frequently each day.

I believe I am playing Uliah. He is a warpriest, with melee divine and diplomacy. He keeps a mount in his hand at all times as it adds a 1d4+1 (+1 is his power feat) to all combat and divine checks, and can recharge a card with the divine trait after his move step to allow a character at his location to recharge a card from their discard pile. he adds a d8 and magic to any check against a bane that has the undead trait, and with a power feat could make allow other characters at his location to do that, though I am not sure that will be the power feat i next choose.

While I do have other tier 2 characters, Uliah is generally the one I play online.

Tomehound checking in. I'm on the East Coast, and I'll usually be posting after work and evenings. Sometimes I'm able to post multiple times a day within those times, but that can vary wildly.

For Tier 2 characters, I've got: well, uh... fewer than I'd thought. Still:

(One Scenario Played in-tier)

Tier 1 characters:

Aric/Red Raven - Vigilante - Dexterity / Combat / Charisma / Diplomacy
(Three Scenarios Played in-tier)
Enora - Arcanist - Intelligence / Arcane / Charisma / Diplomacy
(Two Scenarios Played in-tier)

I'm also always willing to start new casters/mixed classes, and have a lot of those class decks, so if a different character would fit better, I'm willing to start a completely new one.

Woohoo!! Almost ready.
Do you guys want to use a hangout to give a bit more timely response to discussions?
I have used this on other games and found it useful
However I am a hangout newbie so not sure how to start the conversation thread


Okay, we have a few more days to finalize character selections and everything. I want to set up the table by Thursday morning to make sure we're ready to go.

Also, I just got word that we're going to start with one of the Reinforcements cards, so that'll be fun. I'll get the card text for that added to the opening scenario post once we do it. And once you've used it, you should try to pass it on to another table as soon as possible (by Burying a Healing card, Ally, or Blessing) so that we can keep them moving. Don't worry, there's lots of rules to keep track of, but hopefully we can get it all going smoothly once we start. ;-)

Also, past tables I've generally had a Google Hangout running that we could use to communicate with each other for strategy, to ask questions, or to notify when a turn is posted so that we keep the game moving. Is anybody against doing that again here? If not, send me (PM) your email addresses and I'll get a hangout setup.

I'm still missing Hangout information from a couple people, so if you haven't been invited to the hangout yet please PM me that information.

Officially it starts tomorrow, but I believe that we technically tomorrow is all setup and we don't actually start Scenario 1 until Tuesday... I'll probably confirm that in the morning.

First question for you guys to discuss in the meantime: Which scenario to start at! There are two options, one that focuses more on consolidating Absalom’s resources and recruiting help, and the other is a more combat-heavy scenario. Either way you start, you should play each of them at least once so it's just up to person preference.

So, please discuss these here, and finalize your character choices, and then we're good to go!

I needed to get the opening board posted, so I went with the 2/3 majority of those that had replied. If we play fast enough, you can always come back and defend the fort next time. ;-)

Have you used Google hangouts?
We are using that to have more real time discussions during turns e.g. do we burn resources etc
I know my first time with hangouts the chat invite was in the spam filter

Are you ok with how to do your turn?
We are trying to burn down the guardian vault as it causes damage to it when you move there.
Also start of your turn, you will encounter a Lightning Storm that is displayed at the location. Roll a 1d4. On a 4, the card is banished, otherwise it causes that number of elec damage to you and moves to a random location


Just FYI, I am in the middle of my turn but need people to make bya checks, and also would like to use bastet if possible (recharge)

You are fine to do that.

Raz has it listed that we should use them as needed
Use blessings! Bastet for a local re-roll of 1 (recharge) or all (bury) dice on any check. Samurai to add a die to any melee/ranged (recharge) or any check (discard).

Just note in the text that you are using the blessing e.g.
Recharge Raz's Bastet to reroll.....

As you should be able to defeat the Villain without others assistance, you can complete your turn with your and Alase's resources and then the others can do their damage rolls later.

i will do a temp close for Alase's location and then you can use any resources left after that

I've played this Damiel through several replay scenarios so he's pretty stocked with most of the AD B-1 cards (and his single weapon 2 is pretty lame - bury or banish to use, with no possibility to recharge it).

I want an ally 2 before my next card feat, but I am not doing this for progression, so I have tons of time!!! Armor 2 works great for me because it is spiked plate which is just better than my spiked breastplate.

Raz will take the Lance of Jousting and Lance +1, removing the Lance and Longspear from the deck. Also pick up a Recruit (Basic, Pal) to fill my open Ally slot from my card feat.
