Greta moves up and tries to bite the plant. Unfortunately the plant's hide is too tough!
bite: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16
Einar 'Kinslayer' Bjornson
'What the blazes?' As the music stops Einar realizes he may be in no mood for a picnic under the tree. Seeing that Hirah's tiger has the flying fairy well in hand he begins to rage, Causing his Cambion ancestry to become very prominent. As he lets out a roar, "Die! Tree!" and as he steps north he enlarges and attacks the tree tooth and claw.
5 ft. step:Full Attack: maw, claw @ 2, Rage, large (AC 22) Power attack
Maw attack: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17 for damage: 1d8 + 8 + 6 + 1d6 ⇒ (8) + 8 + 6 + (4) = 26
Claw attack: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 25 for damage: 2d6 + 8 + 6 + 1d6 ⇒ (2, 5) + 8 + 6 + (4) = 25
Claw attack: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17 for damage: 2d6 + 8 + 6 + 1d6 ⇒ (1, 3) + 8 + 6 + (3) = 21
crud, rolled two fours
Mr. Whiskers
Mr. Whiskers let's out a surprised "Eep! How did that thing get so close!"
Concentration: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (17) + 14 = 31
Then he casts vanish and moves away from the icky maw-creature.
If it has special senses, it may still get an AoO
Please move me away from that thing! 40' movement (includes haste)
GM Mort
The large plant does not seem to notice Mr Whiskers vanishing before its (eyes?) that are knobs in its trunk.
Einar bites into the mushrooms and finds that the mushrooms....taste pretty earthy, but not too bad really. The treebark and tree itself, however tastes like rotten eggs. He rends huge furrows in the bark sending purple ichor flying.
The plant is still standing.
Yelling, "Die, Tree" tickled me. Just waiting for Hirah now.
Hirah Cheran
Tiger Full attacks

Might edit this with Hirah's action, might attack the plant, checking map first.
EDIT
W/E I'll just have Hirah Attack tree
Attack (no Rage, No Bane): 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (7) + 13 = 20
Damage: 2d6 + 10 ⇒ (5, 1) + 10 = 16
For my own records
5 uses of SMIV left today.
8 rounds of Bane
8 Rounds of Rage
3 1st level spells left
GM Mort
falling damage: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 3) = 7
The flying tiger drops the half-fiend Satyr, then charges down following it, biting and tearing. Between the tiger and the fall, the Half-fiend Satyr is very, very dead.
The tree is chopped down by Hirah, saving Crummock an unpleasant fate of being eaten.
Hirah - are you using perceive cues?
On the body of the half fiend satyr they find a necklace made out of shark teeth. Mr Whiskers identifies it as an amulet of mighty fists +1.
Greta sniffs the air, and enters the room going to the bush that Mr Whiskers was earlier headed to, then rubs her nose with it.
Mr Whiskers recognizes it as a Winter Bite plant
He also finds some cactus which he identifies as Nethys dagger
There is 1 does of Winter Bite plant, you can tap the Nethys dagger for 2 doses of the sap, but you still need to process into a powder with a DC 15 Craft (Alchemy) check
Einar 'Kinslayer' Bjornson
Just caught that it was a "flying Tiger" did anyone else picture This?
just noticed we can continue...
'That tiger was a good idea.' Smiling as the tiger drops the fairy and Hirah kills the tree, Einar, releases the rage and after searching the room, asks "Shall we continue?
Leading the team further down the hall Einar keeps a keen eye out for anything interesting.
Hirah Cheran
Um, I'm not using Perceive cues because I never had it. Why do you keep asking me about if I'm using it lol?
GM Mort
A series of head-high partitions fashioned from intricately brocaded cloth panels stretched over wooden frames take up the center of this cavern, forming a large enclosed area in the centre.
The cloth panels you can just move through them, without penalty but they block line of sight and effect.
A young woman in a silken brown dress, long wavy hair carrying a quarterstaff with vines twisting all over it pleads the party. "I don't see visitors very often, what brings you here?"
GM Mort
Percieve cues is on the inquisitors spell list, my bf's empiricist investigator does NOT enter a dungeon without swigging that extract first. He'd poke me on my nose if I suggested that he went into a dungeon without it.
I'd have to tick off the uses - if you were using it. I'd rather not after I throw the party a trap, then you start saying - I had percieve cues on, so I would have spotted it etc. A major pain it is retconing
Hirah Cheran
Yeah but I don't_know_the spell. I have Acute Senses, but as per my character sheet, I don't have Perceive Cues as a spell known, hence my confusion whenever you ask me if I have it - because the answer is going to be always no until I eventually pick it up. Its like asking Mr Whisker's if he is going to cast Slow
For your reference
3rd (3/day)—heroism, invisibility purge, prayer
2nd (5/day)—acute senses[UM] (DC 16), blistering invective[UC] (DC 16), invisibility, resist energy
1st (5/day)—bless, divine favor, heightened awareness[ACG], lucky number, shield of faith
0 (at will)—create water, guidance, light, read magic, sift[APG], stabilize
I don't get to change my spells up each day, so this is locked until further notice.
Hirah Cheran
Yeah I got Invisibility Purge (@8) and Divine Favor + Invisibility (@7). I don't get another 2nd level spell until level 10 if it helps.
Hirah walks up a little closer to the maiden. "Who are you?" she asks curiously.
I'm staying at the maximum distance that allows me to use my detect alignment SLA with all the cloth panels in the way. I can check all 4 alignments (although not all at the same time).
GM Mort
"I am Lecaiga. What brings you to this place? Are you minions of the wicked warden that trapped me here? And why are you staring at me so intently?" She asks Hirah.
Pinging with all alignments results in nothing
bluff: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (10) + 14 = 24
Hirah Sense motive: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (8) + 19 = 27
Crummock sense motive: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (8) + 12 = 20
Mr Whiskers sense motive: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Einar sense motive: 1d20 ⇒ 4
Hirah knows she is lying about her name. She knows more then she's letting on with the, "Why are you staring at me so intently" statement. Other then that - it's the truth. The rest find her completely truthful.
Einar 'Kinslayer' Bjornson
'Well so far nothing has been as it seems, skulls that were wil o wisps, a tree that told riddles and collected stuff, a two headed giant that would rather talk to itself than fight and a flying fairy that was part demon and a picnic that had no mead, how can anyone have a picnic without mead?' Einar smiled at Lecaiga, and moves closer, "well what brought us here was a hut with chicken legs, but were no ones minions. However we are on a search, who trapped you here? Perchance we can help you." smiling a toothy smile, "for a price of course."
GM Mort
"Oh please, good adventurers, free me from that wicked warden. That malicious monster walks around in human guise and has enacted a binding that prevents me from leaving this accused place. I can give you a gem I found if you would just help me!"She pleads fervently with Einar.
Bluff: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (14) + 14 = 28
Hirah sense motive: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (10) + 19 = 29
Crummock sense motive: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (19) + 12 = 31
Greta sense motive: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
Mr Whiskers sense motive: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Einar sense motive: 1d20 ⇒ 12
Hirah and Crummock both know she is lying, about the binding. She can leave any god d@mn time she wants to, and this place doesnt bother her any. The rest find her truthful.
Einar 'Kinslayer' Bjornson
'curious a monster in human guise.' Einar smile broadens "A monster? does this monster have a name? We have already seen the two headed giant and the flying goat fairy with the pet tree. What type of monster could it be that it must hide it's nature?" Then raising an eyebrow, trying not to appear too greedy "and this Gem you speak of, why would it be worth our trouble?" Looking at the curtains behind her. "And by 'this place' what do you mean, this curtain area or the cave as a whole?"
GM Mort
"The monster's name is Jadrenka. She's a cruel, malicious being. She can change her shape and does it to catch others off guard, by assuming a vulnerable looking form. She killed my sister!" Then Lecaiga starts to weep.
Bluff: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (4) + 14 = 18
Hirah sense motive: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (1) + 19 = 20
Crummock sense motive: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (10) + 12 = 22
Greta sense motive: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Mr Whiskers sense motive: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Einar sense motive: 1d20 ⇒ 19
She takes out a black sapphire. "Is that enough reward for you?" She asks. Mr Whiskers figures it is worth 3000 gp.
Everyone except Greta figures that Lecaiga is lying on why Jadrenka changes shape. And yes, she's upset that her sister was killed, but not THAT upset, if you get my drift?
Mr. Whiskers
"Einar, don't let greed be your only concern." Jimminy Cricket Mr. Whiskers warns him.
Looking around, he asks "What sort of binding is it holding you here?" Strange, that was the name that the Ettin gave for their teacher. I suppose a simple detect magic would quickly tell me much about this situation.
Einar 'Kinslayer' Bjornson
'Were doing what were supposed to! Why is my friend against making a profit in the process? I thought the 'good guys' get to prosper.' Looking at Mister Whiskers, Einar then shrugs noncommittally and pulls his Deep Red Sphere out of his pouch "This one has magic attached to it also. So just a rock is not that impressive. What else can you offer?" Putting the sphere back in his pouch he continues to fish for information. "So what is this place, pointing to the curtains? And, as I asked, are you constrained to this area alone or to the entire cave or to the three statues in general?"
Edit: Mister Whiskers ninja'd my post, will edit slightly ;)
GM Mort
"I don't know. Except she gloated it was a cunningly wrought enchantment that could only be broken upon her death. I don't want to be subject to any more magics, do you understand?" She continues sobbing. "I don't have anything more to offer you." She gestures at her surroundings."And it's this entire place."
Bluff: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (14) + 14 = 28
Hirah sense motive: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (2) + 19 = 21
Crummock sense motive: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (12) + 12 = 24
Greta sense motive: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Mr Whiskers sense motive: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Einar sense motive: 1d20 ⇒ 4
Yes, the party thinks she's telling the truth and nothing but the truth!
Mr. Whiskers
An enchantment? Most bindings would be conjurations. Enchantments can distort a person's views, but don't tend to last. Yet she says that the witch called them enchantments? Come to think of it, do witches even use binding conjurations?
Mr. Whiskers gets a puzzled expression on his face.
Einar and Hirah are between me and her....
"Lecaiga, would you mind if I examined these bindings you speak of?" Something is off here, but I don't know what.
GM Mort
"This place is Artosa. The warden Jadrenka," she bares her pearly-white teeth, as her eyes flash angrily, "Has populated this place with monsters to act as guardians. She is a wicked witch of immense power, which is even further bolstered by her being granted special powers via a special ring while within this place."
"No please. I have had enough magics done on me." She pleads.
Hirah sense motive: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (19) + 19 = 38
Crummock sense motive: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (13) + 12 = 25
Greta sense motive: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
Mr Whiskers sense motive: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Einar sense motive: 1d20 ⇒ 14
Bluff: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (9) + 14 = 23
Hirah and Crummock realize she knows more about Jadrenka then she's telling, though what she says is true. When she talks about the ring, a flash of greed and thwarted rage enters her eyes momentarily, then dissappear in a blink, so quickly that only both of them spotted it. And why did she not want the bindings on her examined? Does she have something to hide?
Mr. Whiskers
Frowning, Mr. Whiskers explains "It would place no magic on you, only on me." ...and I never said I was going to cast anything...
Einar 'Kinslayer' Bjornson
Mort, I saw areas: C5: A, B and C on the map and was wondering more about their nature, I was thinking it might be someplace safe to sleep. that's why I kept asking about it.
'I don't think she is a threat, not at least until we deal with Jadrenka, or clearly tell her no. She's at least smart enough to not trust magic or magicians.' Einar shrugs his shoulders. "I will let my comrades decide if we are helping you after Mister Whiskers is satisfied." pointing around. "In the mean time I will look around a little." Einar then goes to the curtain to the right and opens it up to look around.
Unless something happens (ie: we start a fight with the women) He will start with A then C then B, if everything is clear and they are still talking he will go to the north tunnel.
GM Mort
"But don't mages have to cast all kinds of spells on you to determine what enchantment you have on you? And if you cast a spell on youself to look at my enchantment, wouldn't the bad magic vibes pass to me?She sounds rather flustered at this point of time.
Bluff: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (6) + 14 = 20
Hirah sense motive: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (16) + 19 = 35
Crummock sense motive: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (9) + 12 = 21
Greta sense motive: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Mr Whiskers sense motive: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Einar sense motive: 1d20 ⇒ 16
Hirah, Crummock and Mr Whiskers know that she knows what magic is and deliberately does not want to submit herself to a probe, and is trying any means to wiggle out from it.
Spells on her:Undetectable alignment, shield of faith
And there is no binding spell.
Hirah Cheran
Hirah has a bad feeling about the situation, but doesn't mention her concerns. She knows the girl is lying, and knows that Mr.Whiskers was pushing her. Fearing or predicting hostilities, Hirah glances at the black gem. "Do you mind if I take a look at that gem? No magic, I promise, just looking" she casually remarks, as she moves to stand next to the women.
If it matters, I'm not actually touching that gem yet in case its trapped or something, but I am using the gem to get closer.
GM Mort
She allows Hirah to step closer and examine the gem. Its a black sapphire?
"I'm not giving it to you until I personally see you kill Jadrenka. A bargain is a bargain."
Hirah Cheran
"Probe away Mr Whiskers", Hirah remarks "I don't like the fact that she doesn't show on any single alignment when I checked earlier."
I'm happy pushing this into an escalation now that I'm close enough to threaten or melee if this goes south.
Mr. Whiskers
Startled by Hirah's statement, still he casts his detect magic and starts concentrating. It takes so long to filter through this!
First round is just telling me there is magic there. No surprise since my companions are in the cone and have magical items. Shall I look at the spoiler now, or wait?
GM Mort
Go ahead and look at the spoiler now.
Once she figures Mr Whiskers is probing her, she retreats away(wd) and pops out on the other end of the cloth panels, but not before he has detemined the spells on her.
"I don't like bad magic vibes." She pouts.
Airy outline is Hirah's summoned tiger. Min/lv, you know. Gotta give credit where credit is due
Mr. Whiskers
"Really? Then why do you have two beneficial spells on you? One to prevent divinations and another to deflect attacks." Mr. Whiskers asks, stepping a little closer as she retreats. I may not be good at reading people, but I do understand a lot about magic.
Maintain concentration. I've moved myself forward. What is the airy outline icon, anyways?
GM Mort
Seeing the party getting suspicious, she drops the façade. ”Oh, you saw through it.” She sounds faintly disappointed.
”My name is Caigeal. I was PROMISED the title of Warden of Artosa by Baba Yaga herself, and the Artosa Ring should have been MINE. My traitorous daughter, Jadrenka, thwarted me by leapfrogging the queue by petitioning and bargaining with Baba Yaga. I will not leave this place until I reclaim what is rightfully mine!” She snarls then undergoes a monstrous transformation revealing her true form as a horrific 8 foot tall hunchbacked hag, with a horribly scarred abdomen, wearing a dress made of human skin.

Greta identifies her as an Annis Hag. They have DR 5/bludgeoning. Mr Whiskers...urm can't quite remember what the heck she is.
Hirah, Mr Whiskers, Caigeal, Einar, Crummock
GM Mort
More about Annis hags
Dwelling in dark caves, tangled hollows, and cursed ruins deep within frozen swamps or icy moors, annis hags stalk forth by night to sow fear and hunt the unwary. Although possessed of cunning minds, annis prove more decadent than most other hags, frequently indulging in their taste for living flesh and the music of pleading screams. Unlike green hags, they use their ability to assume humanoid form via alter self not to infiltrate societies but to lure victims into a false sense of security before attacking—often posing as travelers in need of aid or pilgrims seeking to share a camp.
Annis hags find the flesh of children, young animals, and the pure of heart particularly pleasing, both for the tenderness of such meals and for the sorrow such murders spread. After gorging themselves, these hags delight in stripping the skin from their victims, often garbing themselves in the grisly trophies. They are also known to retain and even preserve identifiable portions of their victims (such as heads) for later use in spreading misery. An annis who eats the children of a local farmer might keep the heads (or at least the faces) handy to return to the victims’ parents, for example—often in the guise of an anonymous gift. The most insidious of annis hags present these gifts in ways that implicate friends or family in the victim’s death.
Mr. Whiskers
Seeing her grow, Mr. Whiskers moves forward and readies to cast a spell if she casts or attacks. She knew about magic, I bet she can cast it too!
You will have to adjust if she gets into melee before then.

Mr. Whiskers
It is your turn, so do it! No need to discus it.
Crummock-i-Phail
Ummm... If Greta shares that information, Crummock is *not* going to be a very happy camper...
Healing from earlier: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5.
Healing from earlier: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2.
Healing from earlier: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7.
Mr. Whiskers
The dress sort of gives much of that away, Crummock.
GM Mort
She will, because she loves being an insufferable know-it-all. That's Greta for you ;) What were you expecting from someone who goes around carrying pathfinder chronicles?
Hirah Cheran
The point Mr.Whiskers was staying close for a full attack. Oh well.
Anyway two quick questions before I roll dice. Firstly GM, can my Tiger Pounce from the position where it is (2D map and the fact its flying makes this tricky to tell), and is she (Hag) flat footed?
Hirah Cheran
DISCLAIMER: I recommend Mr Whiskers firing his spells before I close and attack, because otherwise he is going to probably take a ton of melee / cover penalties. She's going to struggle casting / moving anyway with me and my tiger in her face, the latter probably trying to grapple her.
Hirah moves and full attacks, her tiger also following up.
Attack Rage + Bane: 1d20 + 15 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 15 + 2 = 25

How do you get two cats on you at one go, lol?
Geist, divinely inspired, pounces on Caigeal, biting and clawing her badly. Streams of blood flow down her entire body, and she looks about to collapse herself.
*amused GM gambols around the big cats*
Crummock-i-Phail
Think of it as two cats fighting over a rather ugly mouse ;-)
Don't forget Mr Whisker's readied attack - I have a feeling that she won't be happy about it...
