Okay, assuming Rilka doesn't object this is what we're looking at for loot.

120k aestheric stipend split five ways.

Since Bjorkus and Toramin are claiming bigger shares of the loot I suggest the remaining stuff plus the obsoleted items be sold and split evenly between Rilka, Dalton, Ianna.

That's:

+1 unholy impervious glamered greataxe - sold for 12,160g
+1 dastard heavy fortification spiked full plate - sold for 25,350g
Demonspike Pauldrons - sold for 7,175g
Bjorkus and Toramin's old stuff - sold for 9,000k

For a total of 24k for Bjorkus and Toramin and 41895 (24k + 17895) for Rilka, Dalton, and Ianna.

Depends on the building and the ground. A rigid stone structure over hard ground would be relatively unaffected, while a house sealed with mud and wood over swampy ground would just sink.

Bjorkus's spending:

Upgrading headband via Ianna - 9k
Upgrade loincloth of resistance via Ianna - 2.5k
Retraining Extra Rage Power to Cunning - 250 (100 * 5 days/2)
Retraining Tribal Scars to Shaping Focus - 250 (100 * 5 days/2)
Ioun Stone (dusty rose) - 5k
Ring of Eloquence - 3.5k

I'll save the rest until we know more about the next mission.

Sorry Toramin, but personally I don't think that trait is at all balanced, so I don't allow it.

Wicked Leadership does seem a little strong for a trait. Would it (and its theoretical good parallel) be reasonable as a feat on its own with Leadership as a prerequisite?

Could I research a version of Sanctuary that lasted even longer than my improved version? Like hours/level?

Possibly Bjorkus, but that's probably a bit too far down the rabbit hole of house ruling for my taste.

As for the spell, that's a hard question. If we judge the effects of hour long buffs (Mage armor is clearly the best, and there are other such examples such as false life), the bar is set very low for the effects that such long buffs can bestow. And turning what was originally a round/level spell into an hour/level spell...I can't fathom any spell I would feel comfortable making that change to. From haste to greater invisibility to righteous might, round buffs probably shouldn't be hour buffs.

Basically, I would like a higher level version of my improved sanctuary spell to take advantage of increased DCs. There is already a Mass Sanctuary in the game. Can you think of any improvements that you would be comfortable with? Perhaps, pairing it with a curative effect?

I wanted to post back around noon (PDT), but the site was super slow in loading and the goblin page showed up too at some point. Anyway, the division of loot that Bjorkus suggests sounds fine to me. Thanks Bjorkus for figuring that out.

2 Levels? I wonder what adversaries you’re sending our way that require a two level bump. Lol. I have some feats and talents that need deciding on, so I’m going to spend my time doing that.

Hey Rilka, want to change your avatar back? I miss Rilka original flavor.

Ah I understand what you're going for Ianna. Yes we can certainly find a buff to make it a higher level spell. DR could be an option, but based off of spells like "Angelic Aspect" it would probably be DR 5. But that's clearly still not as powerful as angelic aspect...

Alright how does this sound. Holy sanctuary. Self cast only. Lasts min/level. In addition to the effects of sanctuary, it gives DR 5/evil as well as a sacred bonus to AC equal to the caster's charisma score. Finally, once during the duration of the spell, either at the discretion of the caster as a free action or automatically if the caster goes below 0 hp, celestial healing is cast on the caster. This does not end the spell.

I'm thinking 5th level for that.

No large gameplay updates today, spending the evening with my mom. Expect a LOT of material tomorrow.

Grace of the Dancing Goddess
School: Abjuration [Healing, Good]; Level Cleric/Oracle 5
Casting Time: 1 Standard Action
Components: V, S, DF
Range: Self
Target: You
Duration: 1 Minute/Level
Saving Throw: Will (partially negates); Spell Resistance: none

You are protected as Improved Sanctuary. Additionally, you gain damage reduction 5/Evil and Fast Healing 1. If a creature makes the save against the Improved Sanctuary effect, it does not negate the damage reduction or Fast Healing.

Notes: I removed the AC bonus to improve the Fast Healing because if you can make the Will save, your attacks are likely strong enough to not be troubled by a +4/5 AC increase. I don't think the extended duration of the fast healing is too powerful because if you are casting it for the healing there are more powerful healing spells at this level our lower that can cure you at a much faster rate. Moreover, Heal is only one level higher curing much faster and doing a whole lot more. I also changed the name because if one is going to make custom spells they should at least have evocative names. Thoughts? Edits?

The mechanical particulars of how Takaral is called to be here are per Dalton's 11th level discovery, true name. Omen has posted some information on a kolyarut, but here is the stat block. Dalton picked one of them because it would flesh well with the types of endeavors we seem to go on at the Aestherics' behest. I picked one because it doesn't seem to have any broken abilities/movement styles/million limbs that would steal anybody's thunder.

Note the inevitable subtype's benefits and drawbacks.

I'll go through his profile (and add the last details to Dalton's) this weekend. There is gold to spend too, I understand.

I will be away on vacation until Thursday. Feel free to RP while I'm gone!

Potential Underwater Requisitions (from most to least expensive):

Pearl of the Sirines - persistent magic item

Quote:
The pearl enables its possessor to breathe in water as if she were in clean, fresh air. Her swim speed is 60 feet, and she can cast spells and act underwater without hindrance.

Necklace of Adaptation - persistent magic item

Quote:
This necklace is a heavy chain with a platinum medallion. The magic of the necklace wraps the wearer in a shell of fresh air, making him immune to all harmful vapors and gases (such as cloudkill and stinking cloud effects, as well as inhaled poisons) and allowing him to breathe, even underwater or in a vacuum.

Potions of Ride the Waves - hours per level

Quote:
The target gains the ability to breathe water and a swim speed of 30 feet. This swim speed means the target also gains the standard +8 bonus on Swim checks and the ability to take 10 on Swim checks even while distracted or endangered. The target can use the run action while swimming, provided it swims in a straight line. The spell does not make the target unable to breathe air.

Potions of Water Breathing - hours per level

Quote:
The transmuted creatures can breathe water freely. Divide the duration evenly among all the creatures you touch. The spell does not make creatures unable to breathe air.

Potions of Touch of the Sea - minutes per level

Quote:
You cause webs to grow between the target’s fingers and its feet to transform into flippers, granting a swim speed of 30 feet along with the standard +8 bonus on Swim checks and the ability to take 10 even if distracted or endangered. You can also use the run action while swimming, provided you swim in a straight line. This transformation causes any boots or gloves the target is wearing to meld into its form (although magic items with a continuous effect continue to function). This spell does not grant the target any ability to breathe water.

I very briefly have internet, I will answer as much as I can.

Dalton - The price to copy more spells is under the magic section in the spellbook area. It's cheaper than what you're doing. With the Aestherics you have access to almost nearly any spell. Also wands should be made at half price.

Ianna - Can you do some math on how much time all that crafting will take? I usually don't watch that too closely but you're doing a TON of crafting.

Bjorkus - They'll provide 10 potions of each.

That's enough for 2 of each potion per person. If we need more than that I suppose we've got problems.

Ianna - Can you do some math on how much time all that crafting will take? I usually don't watch that too closely but you're doing a TON of crafting.

Looking over what folks have posted:

Bjorkus's crafting will be 12 days for Ianna and 4 days for Dalton.

Toramin's crafting will be 22 days for Malan.

Rilka's crafting will be 36 days for Ianna and 4 days for Dalton.

Dalton's crafting will be 31 days for Ianna and 23 days for Dalton.

Ianna's crafting will be 15 days for Ianna.

The totals are 94 days for Ianna, 31 days for Dalton, and 22 days for Malan. Poor Ianna, we owe that girl a spa day.

Dalton, if there are any spells that are on both the wizard and alchemist lists, Rilka will split the cost 50-50 for a scroll. She can learn formulas from observing spells being cast. For the spells you listed a few posts above, Rilka would be happy to split the cost for [b]Cat’s grace[/i] and Enlarge person. Not much coin now, true, but in the future...

Bjorkus, when I was making my character sheet I noticed the time requirement for Ianna, so I just had Ianna craft and upgrade the Belt of Giant Strength and Incredible Dexterity (assuming she was willing to do that). Ianna are you willing to do that? I think that would only take sixteen days.

Dalton do you have the time for crafting a ring of protection +2?

I didn't notice that. Upgrading the belt alone is 24k which is 12 days instead.

That drops Ianna's crafting time to 70 days.
