Are the circles (small and large) columns reaching to the ceiling or posts with a flat top at the same level as Omrax? .
Yes. The big ones reach the ceiling and the little ones only reach Omrax's level.

He shakes his head at the question saying "Just a sprain. I am beginning to truly dislike these things."
Quinn moves along the pillars, hopping between them with ease. While the others join him, he checks the doors for traps.

Finding no traps set on the doors, Quinn pushes them open with ease. Seated on a dusty throne in the stone-walled room beyond is your friend from earlier, the vampire. Across his lap is a polished silver sword. "Ah, so good to see you again. How good of you to deliver yourselves into slavery!" He waves to the half-dozen spawn arrayed behind him. "Go on then!"

I'm exuding a Sanctuary, yes?
Sure. What's the DC?
"Well, if you won't give up willingly, shackles it is," Vanyth smiles, revealing very pointy teeth. He points a long, white finger at the party. Massive, sticky strands erupt from the two pillars and the walls, engulfing the Pathfinders in a vast web.

Omrax and an invisible Quinn slice Vanyth to literal ribbons, ending his vampiric threat. Going to call the combat here, the guys on the walls are annoying but have almost no chance to do damage and are out of poisoned bolts. This is the last encounter, so a couple of fly spells later we'd be done.
The sword in his former lap is polished to a mirror finish, with a black iron hilt in the shape of a winged raven. Golden silk, still unsoiled after so many years, covers the handle. This must be Desert Raven.
After collecting the +1 flaming burst keen sword and the corpse of Kamilah, the party makes the chilling lakeside boat ride back to town, where they are greeted as true heroes. Trying not to look at the unsettling Osiriani corpse, Adagre declares an immediate festival and pronounces you Protectors of Whistledown!
Many ales and gifted trinkets later, the adventurers make their quiet departure for the long road to Sothis.
End of Part III! Chronicles later today.

EPISODE IV
THE FAITHLESS DEAD
Sothis, throne of the pharaohs, and capital of Osirion, is a city rooted in ancient tradition. Of these, perhaps none is more sacred than funeral rights. As such, it came as no surprise when Venture-Captain Norden Balentiir invited his accomplished Pathfinder team once again to Osirion’s capital for the funerals of three important figures who once played a significant role in their nation’s history--a powerful sorceress named Akila, a warrior woman called Kamilah, and a lady smuggler known as Meskhenet the Wise--each interred in the Necropolis of the Faithful amid great fanfare, feasting, and celebration. As these Pathfinder adventurers were involved with retrieving the remains, Balentiir celebrated his agents' success and asked that they remain after the ceremony, while he continued to study these women in an effort to better understand their--and Osirion’s--past. Weeks passed, allowing some rest from their recent exploits, and time to enjoy the wondrous city of Sothis. But the vacation ended quite suddenly one night when Balentiir sent urgent word, asking for your immediate counsel at the Pathfinder Lodge.
The main entrance to the Pathfinder Lodge passes through the double doors of an immense archway towering over the 12-foot-high exterior walls surrounding the grounds. The doors stand slightly ajar and unbarred, despite the late hour. Beyond the archway, torchlight illuminates the approach toward a natural garden of shade trees and undergrowth occupying much of the inner courtyard and blocking view of the Lodge itself on the far side. Although the Pathfinders expect the usual challenge from a Lodge guard by the gate, no sound but the wind comes from within.
Something is wrong.

Hey guys, before starting. Each day on a mission, Sareth begins by offering a Heroes Feast. If you break fast with him after his morning prayers, you gain the following for 12 hours:

![]() |

Sareth surveys the scene (Taking 10 to see the blood too.)
"By the Dawnflower, what happened here?" He unsheathes the Sun's Ray and casts Shield of Faith on himself. AC 27
He begins to creep forward along the edge to explore the ruin Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (14) + 12 = 26

"Where else to work but our place of employ. We must be swift." Quinn takes off down the hall a little ahead of Sareth, trying to be quiet as he goes.
Stealth: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (19) + 12 = 31

You all are quite familiar with the Lodge, having been operating out of it for some months at the very least. I am therefore not blacking out the map much.
A former police station, the Sothis Lodge is a walled compound with a lush garden of sycamore trees that dominates its central courtyard. As Quinn steps through the archway, an invisible rune inscribed on the flagstone erupts beneath his feet. A terrific bang rings in the ears of the kitsune and all his companions.
1d8 ⇒ 5 sonic damage to each
Strung between the trees, a wooden framework supports a variety of grapevines and hanging plants, obscuring much of the view ahead. Beneath their shade, dark paths wind through the lush undergrowth. Leafy plants rustle in the slight wind, perhaps a little too much.

Omrax smells no evil in the oasis vegetation; however, all three Pathfinders notice two bloodied bodies hidden just off the central path. Check them out, or continue with Sareth's vectors?
