Apologies for the silence yesterday guys; work was terribly busy and I've been fighting with some sort of a cold/chest congestion for the past several days so I basically came home last night and collapsed on the couch. Since it came up in Table B's discussion I do want to let you guys know that we're very nearly done and so please feel free to sign up for OutPost games with these characters if you were wanting to do so! I know the pace has been a little slower than most PFS games but you'll definitely have your characters free again before March :)
And update to follow soon~

Damn, sorry I didn't realize I hadn't posted since Sunday! I've been reading along as we dealt with the elevator. I think if most adventures were real reasonable people they'd never step foot into something like that!

GM Ladile |

Whoops! Even if it doesn't change your place in the initiative order, thank you for reminding me about Favored Terrain! :)

I don't know what that band around the monster's head is for, but we'll find out soon!
I plan to try to get the band off using the disarm action.
A) is that possible?
and B) I don't have improved disarm or the like so it provokes, but ONLY if the monster has 10 ft reach. Denair and Meredith both have 10 ft reach and you can't take the AoO if you can't reach their body.

GM Ladile |

I can't find anything (with a quick search) that would prohibit such a thing so yes, I'll allow you to try and disarm the band. And our scaly friend actually *does* have a 10 ft. reach with one attack so you'll take an AoO; entirely up to you on what you want to do :)

Serge has the Fey Foundling feat, and gains an extra 2 HP for every die rolled when receiving magical healing! :)

GM Ladile |

Ah yes, the fey's magical paladin orphanage - I've heard the stories but I think this is the first time I've encountered such a character as a player or as a GM :)

GM Ladile |

I don't see why it wouldn't, it's basically using the power of your god/goddess to manifest a healing effect so I'd count it as magical healing.

GM, what I meant is that the hands needed to move 10 feet to get into my square. Therefore they left a threatened square when they moved and provoked by not doing that with a 5 ft step. They would then again have provoked for entering my square when they did that.
All in all the effect was the same: they provoked, but the trigger was not them entering my square but them leaving a threatened square.

Hi GM. I've decided to try to fulfill my faction goals. Can you tell me if any of these apply?
---
I'm going to let Denair handle this as she has Disable Device and Stealth. If you rule Meredith must make the check, I'll spend my GM Reroll to make a Stealth check.
Disable Device vs DC 18: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
GM Reroll Stealth: 1d20 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 + 1 = 17
So close...

I guess we defeated an evil outsider with CR 4 or higher...

Defeat a known slaver whose Challenge Rating is at least equal to your character level. For the purposes of this goal, a slaver is a creature that owns at least five slaves, is maintaining a compulsion spell or effect to control a creature for at least 1 day, or is explicitly cited as trafficking slaves.
Copy paste from pdfs hates the letter f for some reason.

And...that's a wrap, folks! I'll be working on getting your chronicle sheets out in a bit. Thank you so much for playing and I apologize that this ran a little longer than anticipated. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves though and that I've not scared anyone off from playing with me again in the future ;)
_______
@Yarricki - Yes, I'll count the banishment of Koth'Vaul as 'defeating' an evil outsider! And his CR was very much greater than 4, being a glabrezu and all :)
@Meredith - Hum...evil though he was, I can see an argument being made for Koth'Vaul technically being a captive as he had been summoned and bound by the Thrallkeepers against his will. You may check that one off and I'll allow Denair's check to count for the nonviolent advancement of liberty.
I'm not sure how different GMs handle signing off on faction goals via PbP; if you want me to make a notation on your chronicle I can or I'll trust you to make the notation yourself on your character sheet and you can simply include a link to this post. Just let me know which you'd prefer!
Also, if anyone else is curious about potential faction goals to check off, ask away and I shall answer.

For PbP, I've heard that as long as the GM gives the OK, I can mark them off. I'll just leave a link to this post as online proof.

I had a really epic post for gameplay but I never could get it to preview. An in-character goodbye for all of you, but I'll try to post it later tonight after work instead.
I just want to say thank you to all who made me feel at home in my first PbP event. I enjoyed it well, but I don't think PbP is something I'll do on a regular basis, but probably more on a once-a-year thing for a PFS scenario.
Thank you, Ladile, for running this scenario for us and thanks to each and every one of you who played that helped make this a memorable first-time PbP experience for me!

Good to see you Marcel. Sorry your post got eaten. I usually copy my big posts before I submit.
PbP isn't for everyone, I'm sure you noticed how much slower we went compared to doing it in real life. I hope you enjoyed your time here, though!

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Marcel, you took to PbP so naturally that I totally forgot that this was your first time. Glad you enjoyed the scenario and I'm sure that I speak for everyone when I say you'll always be welcome to play in any group I'm in.

![]() |

Marcel, you did great on your first play by post.
Thank you all for a great play, I really enjoyed it. GM: thanks for running this for us.
As for the faction goals: there is no requirement for the GM to sign off on anything. It is good practice as a player to discuss which goal you want to sign of with the GM, so that the GM can double-check the scenario.

GM Ladile |

Okay folks, the game has been reported and you can find your chronicles >>HERE<<. Marcel, I suspect you'd prefer a physical copy so I'll get yours to you when we (hopefully) meet for Monday's game!
Please let me know if there are any issues with your chronicle sheets and I'll get you an updated version asap. Thanks again for being such great players to GM for and a special thanks for helping to make Marcel's first PbP experience a memorable one. I'll leave this campaign active until everyone's checked in that their chronicles are good and then I'll shut 'er down. As always, I look forward to further adventures with you all in the future, no matter which side of the screen I might be sitting on :)

Sheet looks great!
Also, great playing with you Marcel! You did a great job, much better than many random players I've played with over the last couple years. Don't be a stranger, but I understand PbP isn't for everyone.

The chronicle sheet looks fine to me. Thanks for running this!

![]() |

Sheet is good, thanks again for running!

![]() |

Yes, what a fantastic game, though with Ladile GMing and this all-star cast of players, I was hardly surprised.
My chronicle looks good. Thanks for running this!

GM Ladile |

You're all very welcome! And it looks like everyone's checked in regarding chronicles so I'll go ahead and close up shop :)
