"Bark!" Dogdog says, running forward with a wooden ball in his mouth, dropping it at Chigg's feet and staring expectantly.

Battle Map

Chigg nods approvingly at Vesa's request.

"Fire shooting bow, har, who would not want of them! That not something me have right now." replies Chigg.

"What about that drow scout we found last month? We have finished examining his bow." Says Tigrik to Chigg.

"Bah, me not like having that dark elf magic here, yes you take that! We lost many warriors to the fiend and his bow." Chigg says, as he turns his head to look back at Vesa. "Give him that dark elf's cloak too."

Ornib runs off and fetches the gear for Vesa.

Battle Map

Chigg listens to Quivrel's request and looks at Tigrik.

"It would be good to finally get rid of some of the arcane scrolls we have be keep finding, but have no use for. Back at my hut, I may have have an item of interest as well for one of his rare talents. Quivrel, come see me after this meeting," Tigrik says.

Ornib looks relieved about not having to fetch more items.

Bile pipes up when it wouldn't be interrupting Chigg or Tigrik, "We find this shield in lizard gullet. Bile would like to keep borrowing for use." and he brandishes the shield.

Battle Map

Seeing the brandishing of the shield, Chigg looks a little perplexed. Tigrik begins to move forward, but then Chigg motions him to stop.

"It seems to match the breastplate that we have for you, so might as well use it too."

Tigrik looks disappointed, "It appears of gnomish craftsmanship."

"Examine it when they return. It's a shield a lizard ate for Glob-sakes, it's not a great treasure." Chigg says to Tigrik.

Tigrik moves back to Chigg's side, while the chief waves Bile and the shield away.

Vesa is a her, not a him. I'll adjust things tomorrow.

Vaghfra looks from the crazed Dogdog to the Chief. She sighs.

"Chief Chigg - brave Dogdog want....need....stuff. Wot you got for crazy-crazy Dogdog? Me have new armor for him soon."

Chigg looks down at the ball, and then back up at Dogdog. He was expecting some kind of joke to follow, but as he sees Dogdog panting away, the chief looks perplexed.

"I'm not sure if I can even help this one." He looks at the strange tube wrapped on Dogdog's arm with a blade sticking out from the end. "Bah! Give him Jorgi's old dogslicer... see if that helps him figure whether he is dog or goblin. Might as well give him that collar we got from that mastiff which that stupid human ranger brought with him last summer. We lost many good goblins to that stink'n dog!"

Ornib looks confused and shrugs his shoulders.

"You know one, the studded collar that stupid Brikka was wearing as a belt for a season!" Chigg calls out.

Ornib nods.

Chigg, while almost looking slightly annoyed at Ornib, "And might as well give him your whip too. You don't even tame animals. That will likely be of more use to this one."

Ornib looks disappointed, but knowing better than to invoke the king's wrath, he throws his whip Dogdog's way and then heads off to retrieve the other items.

Dogdog grabs the whip excitedly and snaps it a few times.

"Barkbarkbark!" he says excitedly. Then he pees on it so everyone knows who it belongs to.

Battle Map

And so the big goblin adventure continues...

Once all the items have been "lent" out, Tigrik then approaches the ten goblins gathered in the hut.

"We have equipped you best as we can for the mission which waits for you. Recovering the golden idol we call The Mother, is of dire importance to the Muckeaters. You must bring this back, no matter the obstacles, even if it means leaving others behind. Remember though, there is strength in numbers, and you are many."

The witchdoctor then begins pulling various items out of a large belt pouch, several of which appear to be small jars of paints. "Come goblins, gather around whilst I perform a blessing ceremony."

Tigrik builds a small fire in the middle of the tent and asks the goblins to sit around it in a circle. He throws some oddly sweet scented dust into the fire which gives off more smoke, than flame and frequently makes the goblins cough in spams. The witch doctor then approaches each goblin and draws a plain runic tattoo on their right forearms.

Tigrik then begins some chanting and then asks the goblins to join in. As each of you do your best to repeat the words of the ritual, you feel tingling sensations throughout your body -- some in pleasant places and others not so much.

The witch doctor then snuffs out the fire. "You all have been granted a special gift from the Muckeaters. The magic I have imbued you with will allow you to alter your form slightly. This magic, is bound to your very life essence though and must be removed before the last of 6 full moon cycles, otherwise it will start to consume your very life."

Rital Binding Tattoo of Altered Appearance
Once per day as a full round action, you make change your appearance to that of any humanoid creature of your natural size category. If the form has scent, a climb speed or a swim speed you also gain those abilities. Either of these speed forms are limited to the lower of the creature's speed or your base speed.

Changing back to your regular form does not count as a daily use, but does take a full round action.

The tattoo's magic is powerful and resists all attempts to dispel it other than with a Wish spell. The magic is suppressed in an anti-magic area.

After 6 months if the tattoo has not been removed in a special ritual, the wearer will loose 10 hit points from their maximum hit points, each day. This will continue until the subject is dead, at which time the tattoo consumes the soul of wearer, and both are destroyed, and the subject cannot be brought back to life with any magical means.

Part of what attunes the tattoo's magic with the wearer's lifeforce is a protection spell which provides the subject with a +2 racial bonus to a saving throw of their choice, chosen at the time of the ritual.

HP 33/33, AC 18, FORT +6, REF +3, WILL +3; CMD 16; INIT +2; PER +7,

Dogdog is quite obviously unhappy at the squirmy thing wriggling into his skin. He whines a little and looks around for anyone who might be willing to make the bad shaman stop, but in the end he lets it happen.

As soon as the ritual is complete he starts licking and gnawing at his arm.
