"Specific" weapon trait

Rules Discussion

My Abomination Vaults group has picked up two weapons with the Specific trait. However, these weapons have no other traits (in Fantasy Grounds). This seems incomplete.

Should, for example, a Gloom Blade short sword, also be a Martial Melee Weapon?

Thank you.

I think it's referring to the specific magic weapon rule. Otherwise, it has the traits and statistics of a normal short sword.

edit: the AoN link for gloom blade

Yeah that sounds more like an error on Fantasy Grounds' part; I've never heard of a Specific trait.

Seems more just a weird way of handling it that isn't intuitive, since even the book doesn't list any of the weapon traits.

My assumption is the same as Lightning Sentinel's. It's just Fantasy Grounds way of tracking "this is specific weapon which has abilities that are different from what other weapons could have".

It's a known deficiency in how Fantasy Grounds handles specific magic items; specifically, that does not yet have a system that allows one item to inherit the traits of a parent item. I think that's on the list of things to eventually address, but with no known ETA.

As such, one needs to

(1) manually add inherited properties, and
(2) manually remember that its set of property runes cannot be changed.
