I don't think Paizo added any new avatar pictures when Starfinder *1E* came out, and that was almost a decade ago. If you search long enough, you'll find a handful of SF ancestries who first appeared in PF 1E products, but some of those species have gone through dramatic changes in appearance between PF's time period and SF's. I frequently have to settle for only the very vaguest resemblance with another monster (a tusky orc for a shobhad, a humanoid construct for power armor, etc.), or choose an item that evokes something about them (like the brain in a jar for the contemplative whose alias I'm using to post this).
Maybe we'll get lucky and see some new art when they finally re-vamp the forum. But first we'd have to get lucky enough for them to get around to that...

Actually, the last blast of Avatar pictures was when Starfinder 1e came out, and they were all pictures from the Core Rulebook and the Dead Suns AP. Then they added a couple weeks later a few pictures from a different Pathfinder Rulebook and AP, and then they stopped. So... We last got pictures in 2017-2018.
I am constantly experimenting with different avatars that evoke the feel of a character without looking exactly like that character. If I truly care, I put an additional link to the characters image in their PBP profile and header, like I did with Jinglemane. You can see how I added the link to his image by checking out the first link listed above.
I'm putting some more avatar images down below for character inspiration! You'll go crazy if you try to be too literal. Just go for vibes, and you'll find something that works.

Most recently, I had the challenge of representing a tanuki (raccoon-like shapeshifter) who is part of a tanuki pair. There is actually a single tanuki image (mislabeled as a kitsune) in the avatar collection, but I thought it would be too confusing if Bret and I used the same image for our paired characters. So I leaned into one of my character's abilities (turning into teakettles and other things) with the image I selected.
And who doesn't like looking at tea?
