Possibly dumb organized play question

Organized Play General Discussion

Just played a Starfinder game at a convention on Friday, I used a pre-gen character and made a character yesterday to use the chronicle sheet and rewards, but I'm not sure what exactly I'm supposed to record anywhere, if I have to? Is it all just written in a character sheet I keep in person or how do I add it to my sessions on the Paizo site?

Games are reported by the GM (or by somebody else--for a con game they probably had HQ volunteers doing all the reporting). It should show up on your sessions list without any additional effort from you.

You keep your own characters' records, and there's no particular way you're required to do that. A lot of people use a spreadsheet if they've got multiple characters. Mine isn't fancy, just a list of current XP, level, Rep, and gold/credits for each of my characters. I also keep a list of scenarios I've done and which characters participated.

The website records sessions and Reputation (which won't be relevant if this is a Second-Edition Starfinder game), but mostly it's for Achievement Points. Which are earned by you as a player and don't belong to a particular character.

Yeah you're free to use a record-keeping system of your choice. Paper records or spreadsheets are a common choice.

If you're looking for a convenient system you can try out https://www.pfstracker.net. It's a website I maintain that allows you to track your character's money, XP and level, as well as what scenarios you've played.

The main use of PFS Tracker is helping GMs figure out which scenarios to schedule, by making it easy to see which adventures people have or haven't already played.

Also, welcome to the Society! No question is dumb. We were all new once.

Like Super Zero said, you're supposed to keep track of your current amount of gold/credits, bought items, XP, and Fame. The sheet you got at the end of the game is a good place to note all the changes, but as long as you have a good system, you can use anything you'd like. Just make sure it's organised, up to date, and others can view it if there's ever an audit.

I know people who are completely digital and use an Excel sheet or Google Sheets/Docs. I'm still all paper, but it does get cumbersome at some point.

I have a question about Laughing touch(1st edition),does an opponent get an attack of opportunity moving away from someone under its affect. The rules are not real specific.

I'm going to leave this question simply to reply to you, BiggD007, but I ask that others not engage with this question here since it's not the right place for it. Since this is a Pathfinder First Edition Rules Question, your post is better suited here please! Repost it there so the community can help you out!

Please stop flagging BiggD007's question as in the wrong forum! I've already indicated that, and also the website doesn't let us move individual comments!
