Was wondering if someone effected by laughing touch be able to take attacks of opportunity? The rules weren't real clear according to my DM.

I have a question about Laughing touch(1st edition),does an opponent get an attack of opportunity moving away from someone under its affect. The rules are not real specific.
We were playing first edition and my sorceress laughing touched a bandit then moved away,the dm was wondering if I provoked if he could attack me. Doesn't really explain it in 1st edition anyway. |
