How could a character fight against a magic induced alignment change?

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

So the gist of it is the goddess my character worships has slipped from LN to LE due to some worshipper shenanigans and changing from a Demigod to a True God. My character who was LG, was rather pissed about this and attempted to reverse the change. Apparently the plan would have worked because she took notice. Unfortunately, because she is a true god now, she intervened and after a heated argument about morals and power(which was really fun to rp) she hurled my character through the planes.

The DM randomly rolls and she end up in an empty looking layer of the abyss. Because she was very very angry at the moment and our party is pretty powerful, the plane takes notice and attempted to transform her into a demon lord. She succeeded a will save tho and plane shifted out of just in time before she became an actual demon ending up as a half succubus(because my character focuses on charming and diplomacy presumably).

Now, while turning into an actual demon lord whose main purpose in life is to oppose and depose her former goddess sounds really dope, I still want to play as this character. So that won’t do for now

What would be a relatively reasonable way for me and my dm to handle this? Should she roll will saves occasionally to avoid losing control and flying into a rage? Or maybe have like a devil on her shoulder kind of deal that whispers provocations into her ear?

Liberty's Edge

I think you can find some help in the Wrath of the Righteous AP, if you or your GM have it. There is an NPC that is a succubus turning good.

I don't feel that "flying into a rage" is the main thing for a succubus, unless it is from envy. It would be more "manipulating people for her interest, without any regard for their wishes and well-being".
If you go for the will saves route, I would have her save occasionally not to push people into fulfilling her wishes even if it is dangerous or harmful.

The extreme of that behavior is the Ballad of the Blind Love by Fabrizio De André:

(machine translation)

Ballad of Blind Love

An honest man, an upright man
Tralalalalla tralallaleru
He fell madly in love
With one who loved him nothing
She said to him: "Bring me tomorrow"
Tralalalalla tralallaleru
She said to him: "Bring me tomorrow"
"Your mother's heart for my dogs"
He went to his mother and killed her
Tralalalalla tralallaleru
He tore her heart from her chest
And he returned to his love
It wasn't the heart, it wasn't the heart
Tralalalalla tralallaleru
That horror wasn't enough for her
She wanted further proof of her blind love
She said to him: "Love, if you love me"
Tralalalalla tralallaleru
She said to him: "Love, if you love me"
"Cut the four veins from your wrists"
He cut the veins on his wrists
Tralalalalla tralallaleru
And like the blood He gushed
Running like a madman, he returned to her
She told him, laughing loudly
Tralalalalla tralallaleru
She told him, laughing loudly
"Your last test will be death"
And while the blood slowly flowed
And now its color was changing
Cold vanity rejoiced
A man had killed himself for her love
Outside, the wind was blowing sweetly
Tralalalalla tralallaleru
But she was struck by dismay
When she saw him die happy
Dying happy and in love
When nothing was left to her
Not her love, not her love
But only the dried blood in her veins

I see actually the anger aspect is because in the abyss her primary emotion was rage and indignation. The reason she turned into a half succubus was likely because of her high charisma and spellcasting.

Oh yes I remember her, can’t spell her name properly though. She was receiving help from Desna right? Maybe my character can seek help from priests of sarenrae and shelyn since they have the redemption domain and would likely respond well to a voluntary redemption request. Unlike that npc, I am seeking help not being punished so the other two goddesses would likely be better

Ooo I just remembered shelyn has the love domain so she could probably help with the whole envious nature and profane desires a half succubus would have. That could work out

Will ask my DM thanks

@ Diego Rossi

Your ballad puts my own tendency to get involved with the wrong women into perspective.

There is a dynamic of how to roleplay a PC. Random inputs are fine but the character should react to them according to her character description or personality profile. Random outputs are not good acting or storytelling resolutions.

You need to create a personality profile so you know what the character values, desires, strengths and weaknesses, etc.

Then (this will be hard) hand her over to the GM. As a mythic/epic NPC it's best. As a player what Challenges will you have within RAW and such. It is more storytelling at this point and PF1 becomes somewhat useless as a Game for Players to overcome challenges.
You can now play devotees or cultists of the new god(s).
