The ability to drop in/out easily via PFS is what kept me coming back to PF2

People still drop in and out all the time, not sure why you think that has changed?

As a customer since near the very beginning, I'll still check in every few months to see whether Paizo has course-corrected, but that'll probably require entirely new OP leadership. PF3, maybe?

To me, the problem is that since the new store, there are no forum comments directly on the blog post; that's where we got a lot of comments from Paizo. That decision wasn't likely made by OP leadership, since it affects all bolg post, not just the OP blog post. A change of OP leadership is not going to change that. I think OP leadership is doing just fine. I feel there have been other shifts in how Paizo communicates. I suspect that comes from much higher up the OP leadership.

the months-long radio silence on Starfinder 2E adventure sanctioning,

I'm a frequent poster to that thread, I'm in no way upset about it, mostly courious and hopeful for change. Although there's been no official response in that thread, there was a comment, I believe, to a blog post, so I can't find it anymore, but the gist of it was that there's no sales data suggesting sanctioning APs has helped sales. I'm guilty of buying both Murder in Mettal City and Guilt of the Grave World, so that data may be correct, if others who only play organized play have bought them too.

I still hope it changes, but I also haven't run out of scenarios to play, and have even run 3 of them twice now.

I do think we are in a year of experimentation with organized play testing ideas before making SF2e and PF2e more standardized in how they run. Paizo's always seemed more willing to take risks to try new things with Starfinder. I wonder if not sectioning SF2e APs is testing, making all SF2e scenarios repeatable, and that would be harder to do with sectioned APs. Just a theory, but if true, a blind test would give better results, which would explain the lack of response. I like everything being repeatable. I hope PF2e gets that too.

Since seasons tend to change at Gen Con, if we get any big news about organized play, I'd suspect it would be around then.

Hang in there or take a break, but don't let it get to you.

Unfortunately this only helps if they are showing the correct stat blocks. There are still errors in 7-01 (at least).

Have you reported that to AoN?

Appears to be only possible through Reddit.

According to today's blog, the Gen Con 2026 PFS schedule will, with the exception of the special, consist exclusively of new format scenarios (that is, the 3hr, no stat block format scheduled to debut next month). That means that literally all PFS content from 2025 or earlier -- six and a half out of seven seasons, or 93% of existing PFS 2e content -- will be entirely absent from organized play at the largest gaming convention in the world.

While I've given up any hope of response from Paizo to the community's concerns about the scenario changes, I can't help but be curious what the "of course the scenario changes won't reduce the variety of content being offered" crowd from a few months back would say now...

Uh, isn't that normal? I've only ever been to a smaller con, but they never schedule old scenarios, only ones from the last season.

Except that the AoN people do not get the scenarios until street date. This means if you are running something before the street date you have to do it yourself.

This happens for GenCon and PaizoCon where there are scenarios that are exclusively available there before anywhere else.

To be fair, it also causes problems for RPGChronicles since they are dependent on getting the scenario before being able to support it.

This could be solved if Org Play recognized certain tools (AoN and RPGChronicles currently, but I am not ruling out the possibility of other tools) as needing the scenarios before street date for the cases where an event has permission to run it before street date.

I have now corrected that encounter, so the fix will be live for our next launch.

If you don't want to deal with Reddit, we have dedicated channels for reporting bugs in the Pathfinder RPG discord server as well as the Organized Play VO discord server.

VOs running conventions that endorse use of RPGChronicles routinely coordinate with the RPGC dev to ensure the scenarios they run are supported in the tool if they are running them before street date. This has been true for years now. There is absolutely no problem about this from the Paizo side. It (of course) requires the con-organizing VO to actually remember to do it well in advance of the date.

I've been to many, many cons, including four Gen Cons, and no, that definitely isn't normal. Certainly newer stuff gets played more, but it's never been exclusively new stuff. In fact, in my experience one of the draws of going to bigger cons was getting to play stuff you may not have been able to play locally.

In any event, I've had my say, and probably won't be replying further (especially given that there are far, far more important things going on in the world right now).

I've joined the server, thanks, but can't see which channel you mean.

There's a category called Game Resource Feedback. Inside that is the aon|feedback channel.

If the category doesn't show up, you may need to search for it in Channels & Roles, or you may need a certain role. (I honestly only joined the server to monitor the feedback channel and have all other channels muted, so I'm not too familiar with their role system.)

I was told by my local PFS/SFS that Venture Agents get the scenarios for free?

I know my VC gets them for free.

Yes, all Venture Agents receive the entire library of publicly available organized play scenarios* for free to facilitate us acting as a lending library for our community (which I wish more people took advantage of locally)

*We don't recieve specials until the convention exclusivity period ends, and they don't distribute content that's been withdrawn like Quest 12.

Then what is OP on about with the pricing?

Because if you are not a Venture Officer, you don’t get them for free, and a lot of people who GM this game are not Venture Officers, so they usually end up having to buy the scenarios (if they can’t get loaned a copy.)

Ask me how I know. :)

This has been a problem. Before I became a venture officer, I was buying scenarios constantly -- even wracking up a bit of a bill before local conventions. (I think that I was around $45 for one convention.) I encourage new GMs to work with venture officers to get a scenario loaned to them.
