Where do the rules say that? All I am finding is the Reach trait and Mounted Combat rules. Which only says,
On a Medium or smaller mount, use the normal reach of an attack.
I'm not seeing anywhere that it removes the reach trait of a weapon. So, unless I am missing something, a tiny creature with a reach weapon mounted on a small creature would still have a 5 foot reach.

Hmm... I may be reading your reply incorrectly.
Are you saying that you don't gain reach on your attacks simply by virtue of being mounted? Because I would definitely agree with that. A tiny creature does need to use a weapon or attack that increases their reach in order to have more than the 0 ft reach that they normally do.

For feats that allow you to attack at reach it might be good to look at ancestry or fighter feats.

Mounted reach is only reduced for large size mounts and up. A tiny creature with a reach weapon mounted on a small mount can attack adjacent squares.
