Hey, It's me! I've started some other threads about my Rusthenge>Seven Dooms>Curtain Call game, and we're coming towards the end of our Sandpoint adventures. Rest in spoilers.

If you read this, you'll have spoiled yourself. GMs only from here on in.:

Okay, so the team was successful in stopping Jordus Munt from becoming the new Sandpoint Devil, but they noticed that when he died his soul escaped and got sucked down towards the bottom of the pit. One of my players said, "Oh no, I hope we didn't just power up the Sandpoint Devil by accident" which of course means that they did.

So now I'm left with the conundrum about how to power up the Sandpoint Devil enough to have it be a solid threat towards the end game. I was thinking of making it a Creature 11 with three 'shadows' of itself at Creature 8. That should be a bit of a harrowing, if Moderate, encounter for a party of four level 11 characters.

How do I power up the Devil to be a Creature 11? I've read some of the Monster design but it isn't really sticking well, and while I want this to be tough I don't want to wreck my party. I want to challenge them not beat them. One ability that I want it to have is a three action, once a week, create three shadows of the Sandpoint Devil, each with the stats of a standard Sandpoint Devil. Beyond that, should I just use the Elite template three times to make the Devil a Creature 11?

Any and all help would be appreciated! Thanks everyone!

For starters, you can use this tool/web page: https://pf2etools.com/bestiary.html#sandpoint%20devil_b2,scaled:11

The link above shows you a level 11 Sandpoint Devil. Just the numbers received adjustments. I suggest you to at least give it rank 5 and rank 6 spellslots, aswell as rank 5 and 6 spells that fit the theme. Take a look at other creatures of that level to get inspiration about any other different actions your beefed up Sandpoint Devil would have.

If I want to challenge a level 11 party with 4 members, I would not use a single level 11 creature. I would make it a Severe encounter, transforming the Sandpoint Devil into a level 13 creature(with rank 7 spells) and adding two Level 9 creatures. Those can be your suggested "shadows", with Elite Sandpoint Devils. But simply to have something different on the table, I would look for other creatures.

If I was not going to use the "Spectral Devil", the level 10 creature you are supposed to find in Chapter 8, I would slap a Weak template on it and use two of it. Or if I want simpler adds, I would use two "Greater Hell Hound", while using the Spectral Devil image for token. That image is too good to be left aside.

Please, whatever you do, let me know how things went at your table.

First of all, thank you a ton for that website.

Second, as of right now, I'm leaning towards rearranging the final island a bit and having a Level 13 SPD with a couple Lvl 9s as backup slotted in before the last encounter... I don't have my notes on me at the moment or else I'd tell you where exactly.

Also, Spectral Devil with a couple of Hellhounds sounds like a fun fight also. My party's come a long way since almost being taken out entirely by three combusted!

I'll let you know when I finalize everything and post what I used. Happy adventuring!
