I'm enjoying Kaya-Chan isn't Scary.
Kaya herself feels pretty authentic. She's a little kid. Even though she can see and fight ghosts, she is still a little kid. She can't tell people cause they will think she is lying, so the only way to protect the other kids is simply Stop them doing things.
No...you can't use the Swing. Tape all the books shut so no one can read them. She's doing her best but it just looks mean to other kids. She sulks and she pouts cause she knows she's doing good but no one listens.
So important to get that one teacher who believes in her
That said. Something is going on in this town cause there are a LOT of hostile ghosts.
Kaya is not infallible. She almost got tricked in the 2nd episode and the issues with her mother are definitely a weak point for her. She needs more than an understanding teacher. She needs someone who can teach her how to use the power she's got.
If you are a fan of Ghost stories give this one a shot.

Stumbled across Hell Teacher Nube over on Amazon.
first impression: "Those are some old school Eyebrows"
and yeah despite the presence of tablets and Iphones this has the feel of an old school show. Teacher with a demon hand protects his students from evil. Probably another revival series, been seeing a few of those lately.

Well....Kaya-Chan isn't scary has taken on a very different feel after episode 5. The show itself is still following the same formula of short stories that end in Kaya-chan one shoting any ghost she finds but the recent revelations have really shifted the tone.

We watched the last episode of JJK's season tonight, then someone chose to continue Black Lagoon. With the episode introducing Roberta.
The rest of the night turned into finishing that Black Lagoon arc.

Some very underrated shows last season. Tojima wants to be Kamen Rider was just wild.
Weirdest one for the new season so far is Rooster Fighter.
Take every Hard-Boiled action hero trope you can think of...now apply them to a Chicken...who fights Demons
New season begins slowly
Food Diary of Miss Maid This is pretty much a food tourism show. It's nice, you learn stuff about Japanese food, warm and comfy
Always a Catch Girl who has trained hard to become the heir for her family suddenly has a baby brother that takes the job, She must now find a husband. Considering that her Hair ornament is literally Brass Knuckles I believe her quest will be entertaining.
Go for it Nakamura-kun Gay-Disaster, the series. Endearing in it's own way.
Crunchyroll added the Dragon Maid movie, was pretty fun.
So first new show added to my Watchlist this season Kaiju-Girl Caramelise. High school rom-com where Girl hates Boy, Boy falls for Girl, and Girl turns into Godzilla when her emotions get the better of her.
Kind of adorable, also weirdly, she's a metalhead.

Seriously, The Hell?
I've seen a few of the earlier Nanoha series, quite a long time back, but I remember them being Magical Girls shows with a bit of arcane science wrapping. This was post-invasion apocalypse gunfight until the last five minutes.

On the fading Season...
I did think Witch Hat Atelier✰✰✰✰✰ was artsy and very pretty as well as a gentle story. Good characterization in world without too much background exposition.
Dorohedoro S2✰✰✰✰✰ artsy unique fantasy hell-scape and setting with an ungentle plot. Good characterization in world with little background exposition. Gorey and tries to be shocking. Animation could be better but I suspect $$$ is the problem.
Agents of the Four Seasons: The Dance of Spring✰✰✰✰ nice art & animation with decent characters and drama but a bit silly.
Daemons of the Shadow Realm✰✰✰✰ unique action story, good characters, avg art/animation.
Wistoria: Wand and Sword S2✰✰✰✰ was good action and artsy but a bit rough. Uses the 'worst option' plotting style.
Kusunoki's Garden of Gods✰✰✰ interesting fantasy deity interaction so the cutesy characterizations are the focus. *Meh* plot and art/animation.
Classroom of a Black Cat and a Witch✰✰✰ silly.
Scum of the Brave✰✰✰ good action story but average/poor art & animation.

I only watched Dorohedoro 2, Witch Hat Atelier and Fist of the North Star of airing anime last season, though I am slowly making my way through Armored Trooper VOTOMS (though at this point it's moving into sunk costs territory).
I tried a couple others but gave up after an episode or two and cannot even remember which ones they were.I haven't really looked at what's coming this season. The only things that popped out are the second season of FOTNS: Elegy for the Henchmen which follows an unlucky recruit into one of the many mohawked gangs of intellectually challenged goons in the FOTN world, and I do indeed like big girls. I did not know it was getting an adaptation until yesterday. I will probably be watching it without my wife.
I like Votoms. I love having Chiccoro in Super Robot Wars. I could do without watching the series a second time, and this is me talking.
Man, what a slog.
In regards to tall ladies, there is another series called My Girlfriend is Eight Meters Tall. It seems Lady D from Resident Evil 8 has had an effect on people.
I think we might start Hellsing Ultimate tonight, before I go back to Black Lagoon.

Ghost in the Shell man it's weird getting a classic like this, while knowing that it is set in a world three years from now.
Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia
This probably won't be for everyone but it is gorgeous to watch. Personally, it's got me hooked and I'm looking forward to more of it.

The new Ghost in the Shell, gives me the same energy as Dominion Tank Police (no surprise there, obviously) Since I enjoyed the heck out of Tank Police, I'm enjoying this too.

The first episode of Ghost in the Shell was excellent. The art is pure Shirow Masamune, the animation is very good, and it was a great start all around. I gather there are some idiots online that are complaining that the show is not like the movie and SAC, that the major shows emotion, that there's humor, etc. IOW, they are complaining that the new show is too much like the source material. I can only assume they are not familiar with Shirow's work in general.
Im well familiar with Shirow's work as my introduction to him was the BLACK MAGIC M-66 OVA then the APPLESEED OVA from 88-89 or so. I think I still have my copies of the studio proteus translated / Eclpise comics APPLESEED manga around here somewhere. And I'm familiar with the GITS manga and Shirow's style. I think that it works better with the manga, and I prefer the styles from SAC and SAC 2nd gig.
Just becasue this show mimics Shirows style doesn't automatically make it better or make people who basically grew up on the films or the SAC series or ARISE idiots.
The original movie is THIRTY ONE YEARS OLD.
The SAC series are TWENTY TWO YEARS OLD.
And I'd argue that most fans of GITS are familiar with those two over the course of the last 30 years or so.
