Macabre over Grave

Just a personal preference, but I feel that Macabre Spells sounds and feels better over Grave Spells for the Focus Spells of the Necromancer.

Yeah, many cultures don't use graves. And "grave" is a metaphor for what macabre more directly describes. Good call.

I like it more too, though I do have a mild concern over how difficult it might be to say aloud. Could just be me, but my tongue trips slightly over "macabre spell" in a way it doesn't over "grave spell."


"Macabre" is a word that looks cool and sounds silly. I can't hear "macabre spells" said out loud and not picture a farmer talking about what they use to grow corn, "mah cob spells".

Alternatively, if you pronounce the "re" it makes me think of a mi cabra(my goat in spanish). Still a farmer but this one has "my goat spells".
