Insofar as I can tell, Prescient Consumable does not lift the restrictions against alchemical and magical adventuring gear.
After filtering out all the alchemical and magical consumables on Archives of Nethys, I was left with the following common items:
- Sack of Rotten Fruit
- Magnetic Suit
What exactly is the point of this feat?

The adventuring gear restrictions are attached to the adventuring gear and the previous feat. Note that the restrictions that still apply are spelled out: "The consumable item must still be common with a level no higher than half your level, and its Bulk must be low enough that carrying it wouldn’t have made you encumbered."

Yeah, I can see how it could be read that way.
The item must be a piece of adventuring gear, and can’t be a weapon, armor, alchemical item, magic item, or other treasure. It must be common with a level no higher than half your level, and its Bulk must be low enough that carrying it wouldn’t have made you encumbered.
Indeed nothing explicitly removes the restriction prohibiting alchemical item or magic item.
When using Prescient Planner, you can procure a consumable item from your backpack, instead of a piece of adventuring gear. The consumable item must still be common with a level no higher than half your level, and its Bulk must be low enough that carrying it wouldn’t have made you encumbered.
Alternatively, Prescient Consumable's feat text can be interpreted as a complete replacement of the restrictions since it duplicates the important ones such as the level requirement and bulk limit.
And if we have two possible interpretations and one of them results in the feat not doing what it is intended to do, there is a rule to use to decide which interpretation to use.
