Player CORE Vs CORE rulebook

Hey there fellow Finders!

I own both the new remaster books as well as the older Core rule book for PF2.

What advantages if any would there be for holding on to my Core rule book?

Thanks in advance for your time.

(I mostly play society games so having the remaster is... required.)

Cognates

Not many. It does have the (pre-remaster) version of the magic items though so you might find that useful, but aside from having features that may have not been remastered or got scrapped, I can't think of much in there that PC1/2 don't cover.

It's also got some premaster spells that weren't printed over to Player Cores 1 or 2, such as the "Prismatic X" spells, and the Power Word spells.

Sentimental value and/or collector's value.

That's not true, actually. You do not need to own books in the core assumption(Core Rulebook, Bestiary 1, Lost Omens World Guide, and the new Core Books). Related to that, you can still use unremastered content from the Core Rulebook in PFS even if you no longer own it. This isn't the case for the advanced player's handbook, which is not part of the core assumption even though, much of it has been reprinted in books that are part of the core assumption. So if you plan on playing a Gorilla Style monk in PFS, it's best you keep a hold of your copy of the APH.

CRB has a lot of content in it which was remastered into the GM Core. So if you don't plan on buying GM Core, but you want access to it's approximate contents, your CRB is good for that.
