Is the extra 3d4 Spirit damage even useful?

It's worth about 2 damaging property runes. The healing is a nice little bonus.
The bigger question is: Is it worth three thralls?

Assuming Create Thrall is a good Focus Cantrip and if you want to Strike as the necromancer, no, you might be better off using the Cantrip but if you cast Heroism on yourself with a greatsword, you might have a decent chance of out damaging your own Cantrip, 1d6/4 level is 5d6 vs 4d12 so yeah basically 8d6 vs 5d6 but 1-4 thralls and better attack roll, it's a question worth asking.
Maybe why not allow it to be used as a Reaction on allies?
