Liberty's Edge

Which PF2 APs, adventures, PFS scenarios would be easy to adapt for a 9yo kid to play ?

The Bounty, Witches Winter Holiday was a cute one I ran last year for Christmas. It's about 2 hours to run.

Though the only thing I'd be wary of is it has a brownie as a character, which some children might find unsettling if you actually show them the picture. So it might be a good idea to swap its image out with a conventional fairy or something to that effect.

But otherwise it's short and sweet, and relatively simple. And you can sing a corny song about rock stew.

And if the kid is not privy to converting to fantasy holidays, it can be easily retooled to directly being about Christmas or whichever other December Holiday they are familiar with.

We ended up doing the Rock Stew song to The Grinch's Christmas song tune. But if you cannot otherwise find a tune for it, can probably drop in a random child's stone soup song. There seems to be a handful of different songs on YouTube you can work from.

Starting with the Winter Queen's Dollhouse, every other Pathifnder Society Quest has the "All Ages" tag, and is tailored to be more child friendly.

I've played all of the ones available so far, and found them to be good lighthearted fun.

My first thought was the Free RPG Day adventures like Little Trouble in Big Absalom or the Great Toy Heist one from this year.

I also liked a Fistful of Flowers.

Tooting my own horn a but, but the Dacilane Academy Pathfinder Society adventures should be fun for kids. They all lend themselves well to creative solutions and are in environments that should be familiar to kids. They are a good "step up" from Quests and should take about 4 hours, or two two-hour sessions.

Seven Secrets of Dacilane Academy
Dacilane Academy's Delightful Disaster
Dacilane Academy's First Great Prank War

There's also a Quest-length Dacilane adventure: Dacilane Academy's Show Must Go On

The First Great Prank War does have some scenes involving animals that might be uncomfortable if your child really loves wildlife, but cutting am event that is ultimately just some brief foreshadowing and changing the animals' reaction to one of the pranks to be more positive can avoid that.
