Can a Champion with +0 attribute modifier still cast spells?

Advice

I'm creating a Champion with the Deity's Domain feat. However, he will only have a 10 Charisma. Can a Champion with +0 attribute modifier still cast spells? I understand that his Spell DC's will be super low but is there any reason that this won't work at all?

Nope, you should still be fine to cast spells. That's a mechanic from PF1E, inherited from D&D 3.5, which hasn't crossed over into PF2E. Dunno if it's in 5E or not, but either way you're fine.

Heck, you could still cast spells with a negative charisma if you wanted to. As a champion you may not even notice much difference, at least if you're using LoH exclusively to heal, or Shields of the Spirit, or domains that don't care about save DCs.

Yeah, it is one of those minor facepalm moments when you realize that you can play certain playstyles of Cleric (ally buff and healing spells only) with a -1 Wisdom and be reasonably fine, but you have to have a +2 Wisdom to take Cleric Archetype.

I have more than one prototype caster PC w/ a +0 casting stat (w/ -1 from Ancestry & +1 from Class). It limits one's casting options of course, but one can use those stats to open up others, as long as one has a set of useful non-DC/non-Counteract spells (and doesn't mislead one's party as to the PC's capabilities!). Or one could just play against type, which yes, I love doing.

Also, you might want to get to 12/+1 Cha later for persistent damage.

Or how a multiclass cleric needs to eventually become legendary in religion in order to learn how to cast 8th-rank spells, but a full cleric doesn't need anything more than basic training in religious practice to eventually cast 10th-rank ones.
