Sorcerers now have

Sorcerous Potency which a status bonus to that spell’s damage or healing equal to
the spell’s rank

CROSSBLOODED EVOLUTION which is choose another bloodline. You know the blood magic
effect of that bloodline.
and

FEAT 12
SORCERER
You wield blood magic masterfully. When you would benefit
from a blood magic effect, you can choose to lose Hit Points
equal to twice the spell’s rank as the energy of your blood is
drawn out. This takes no extra action, and you benefit from
two different blood magic effects you know as a result. The two
effects can have different targets

So with an ELemental Sorcerer for elemental toss and elemental blast and say fireball (though Chain Lightning is an option)

Can pick up Diabolic Bloodmagic and now do +3 times spell rank fire damage

So at level 20 Elemental Toss for 10d8+30 and Fireball for 20d6+30 in the one round. We probably should consider Spell Shape Mastery + SplitShot to the Elemental Toss, and Spell Shape Mastery + Scintillating Spell to the Fireball

Of course you have taken 20 damage twice but that is the price of doing business.


Blood magic only allows you to pick a single target for the damage even if an area effect I believe. I don't think that has changed. That will hit one target real hard.

The elemental toss is real nice too.

Correct. Bloodmagic is one target, Sorcerous Potency is multiple.

Can also steal Oracle Foretell Harm for +2 damage per spell rank and increase that damage to +5 damage per spell rank when stacked with everything else on spell slots, and +4 on focus spells. Just pick a curse like Cosmos that gives Enfeebled.

Looks like the PF1 nuke-sorcerer is back.


Sorcerous Potency doesn't work for focus spells. It's only for slot spells. Would not work for Elemental Toss. Does work for one target of a fireball or AoE spell.


I will sound like a broken record on Explosion of power, but if you don't mind being close range or have anoint ally the average damage is higher the 1 damage per spell rank even if the enemy succeeds the save.

Thanks. I had my blinkers on. I'll have to fall back to the ancestry feat Burn It even though it is less damage.

As it turns out, I may have misunderstood Sorcerous Potency.


So this Explosion of Power is a Blood Magic Effect. So anytime you would active a blood magic effect, it goes off if you want it to. So you can use focus spells to blow off this AoE effect all day. Risky to be in melee range, but still pretty great feat for an AoE damage effect.

Bring it together at level 20. We have an Elemental Fire Sorcerer for +1 fire damage per rank.

With Adoped Ancestry Goblin for Burn It for +0.5 status bonus to damage per rank for fire spells that miss Sorcerous Potency +1 status bonus to damage per rank.

CrossbloodedEvolution into Diabolic (or Phoenix) for an extra +1 fire damage per rank with Blood Sovereignty.

Elemental Toss one action attack of 10d8 +5 Burn It +10 Elemental Sorcerer + 10 Blood Sovereign (and 20 damage to you)
Fireball for 20d6 +10 Sorcerous Potency +10 Elemental Sorcerer + 10 Blood Sovereign (and 20 damage to you)

For potential 10d8+25 and 20d6+30 fire damage. (40 damage to the caster)

It can be slightly more with an Elemental Metal/Air Sorcerer using Chain Lightning but then the damage types gets mixed.
Metal being 10d8 + 10 piercing + 10 fire damage and 12d12+10 electrical + 10 piercing + 10 fire damage.

I won't count Multiclass Archetype Oracle for Fortell Harm +2 damage per rank once per day. Because I'd then have to consider thing like Quickened Casting and 2 fire balls for potential 20d6+30 and 20d6+50 fire damage once per day.

All that is without being hasted or buffed.

Quicken Spell is once per day, whereas Foretell Harm is once per target per day.


We can only get two 10th rank slots anyway.
