ETA on Remaster Core 2nd printing?

Pathfinder Second Edition General Discussion

It's been about six months since the first two Remaster books have been released. I believe I read elsewhere that reprints/updates to both the physical and digital copies typically take place twice a year. Is that still the case?

I've held off buying the physical books, since I'd really prefer the errata to be included when I do buy them.

Any insights, thoughts, or opinions on this?

No idea, but as I'd wanted to own the single print only sketch hardcovers, I withheld my old stance of biding time until significant errata is accumulated enough, just this once.

Now I only hope the Monster Core and PC2 has some sketch covers left for the Paizo online store, just like the PC1 and GMC copies which I barely managed to order from here... (hint: I don't live in the US, nor are dedicaded RPG bookstores of any kind around here where I live).

I think you might have slightly misheard. Previously we had errata releases tied to the reprint schedule. If a book went out of print and Paizo needed to run off a new batch, then we'd get errata in that batch. They've since told us that they are intending for a bi-annual errata release schedule that is no longer tied to print runs, meaning that, while we'll be getting errata more frequently once the Remaster and all the ripples on their workload have calmed down, we aren't necessarily getting more frequent printings of books. I don't think Paizo has got the kind of capital to do that many print runs, especially runs that invalidate all the older books they've already printed.

Also notice that this bi-annual errata release schedule was planned before the OGL crisis and consequent remaster. I don't doubt that the errata schedule effort was delayed or canceled due the extra work needed to remaster.

My hope is that these erratas comeback along side the PC2 release and the other books compatibility erratas.

A long, long time. Expect a waiting time of around 2 years after the initial release
