I need suggestions for PF2 Adventures where Animals go WILD

Advice

Wayfinders Contributor

I am taking over as interim GM for the party of a family member of mine, and they were tracking strange happenings with animals.

This will not be for Organized Play, but as an Organized Play VC, I own all the Paizo Adventures and I am happy to steal from all of them. So... tell me what I should be looking at!

I am planning a few Society Scenarios for fodder, including:

* Lions of Katapesh
* Blooming Catastrophe
* Perennial Crown 1 and 2

Are there any adventure paths that I should be looking at? If so, which ones? Should I be looking at Kingmaker or Quest for the Frozen Flame? Give me fodder that I can build with.

Hmm

I'm not overly familiar with all of the various APs and PFS scenarios.

The ones that come to mind immediately for me are:

Age of Ashes book 1:
There is a bear trapped in the lower level of the citadel. Our party lured it out with a breadcrumb trail of bird carcasses from a battle that we just fought rather than killing the bear as the AP intended.

Agents of Edgewatch book 1:
One of the early encounters is dangerous and exotic zoo animals that break loose from their pens. Again the intent from the AP is to kill everything.

But I am not sure that this is what you have in mind.

I'm also aware of this one.

Hillcross Roundup:
The party needs to herd a bunch of dinosaurs back into a pen using skill checks.

I think it would help to narrow down the goals a bit. What do you want as potential plans from the party for how to handle these creatures?

Liberty's Edge

Fall of plaguestone has some wild encounters.

Thank you folks for your suggestions. I have so much potential material available that I need recommendations to break it all down! I am actually considering stealing material from Starfinder as well. I wrote some really great animal encounters for volume 2 of Horizons in the Vast, but obviously they will require adapting!

If you are wanting to present a challenge where the goal isn't to just kill all the animals, then I would recommend a Victory Point skill challenge of some variety.

Silver Crusade

Quest for the Frozen Flame has some animal or animal adjacent encounters, especially in the first book

A Fistful of Flowers has an encounter in which...

Spoiler:
...a family of ravenous deer attempt to eat the party.
