If I take Weapon Proficiency (Remaster) to become Trained in an Advanced Weapon, do I become an Expert with said weapon at 11th?

As worded, it doesn't have appear that is the case.

How does "If you are at least 11th level, you also become an expert in these weapons." appear not to include the advanced weapon?

That appears to only be referring to the Marrial weapons previously mentioned.

If I said "the red apples are $1, but next week they will be 2 for $1. Green apples are $1." You would not automatically jump to the conclusion that green apples would be half off next week.

That apple example is not how this feat is laid out at all.

"You become trained in all martial weapons. If you were already trained in all martial weapons, you become trained in one advanced weapon of your choice. If you are at least 11th level, you also become an expert in these weapons."

Seems pretty clear that the last sentence refers to both parts that came before.

If it was meant to only apply to one of those sentences, then it would apply to the one that it is closest to. Which would mean that you only get Expert proficiency in the Advanced weapon.

Which would be really strange from a game balance perspective.

This example, changed to be better suited to the actual Weapon Proficiency sentence structure:

For $1 you can get a red apple. If you already have a red apple, you can get a green apple instead. If you are over the age of 11 these apples will be dipped in caramel.

So... will your green apples be dipped in caramel?

best answer, good thing I was already eating because that would have made me hungry otherwise

Odd. I completely overlooked the middle sentence somehow. I thought advanced weapons were only mentioned under the Special entry. Weird brain is weird. Must be this cold I've been getting over.

Well, never mind then I guess.

Vigilant Seal

So, there's no way to become master or legendary with an advanced weapon? And expert only comes at 11th level, much later than usual for a martial class?

I've been thinking of taking weapon proficiency for the Alduri dueling sword (recently got the boon providing access) for my Swashbuckler/Fencer. But it doesn't seem worth it with the above limitations.

You take the Aldori Duelist dedication: when you do so, your proficiency in Alduri dueling sword is equal to your highest proficiency in any weapon you have.

There are ways, but, aside from the fighter feat Advanced Weapon Training, they are all more specific to exactly WHAT Advanced Weapon they can apply to. Aldori Duelist dedication and Unconventional Weaponry are ways that could apply to the Aldori Dueling Sword.
