I think it was specifically called out as one of the things they want to clear up or outright change in the remaster.
I'm not sure I ever saw anything official about it - just people noticing that the Brass Golem Bastion in Rage of Elements isn't named 'Golem' and doesn't have Golem Antimagic.

As for the original question - it comes down to a matter of "is Hardness a type of Resistance?"
I don't think the PF2.4 rules ever specified fully one way or the other and from looking it up in Player Core, it has the same wording for Hardness in Item Damage.
So it isn't a question that I can answer. It will be up to the GM to determine if a Construct creature's Hardness counts as a resistance or not.
Personally I would. I haven't decided if it should be run like a Resist All (where attacks with multiple damage types each get reduced) or more of a 'Resist Any' (an undefined resistance that will resist any and all damage types, but only be applied once rather than separately to each damage type). But either way, I would allow the Destructive Aura spell to reduce the Resistance of a construct creature.
I also don't know if I would apply Destructive Aura to a non-creature item's Hardness such as a mundane door that the party wants to bash their way through (mostly because of the targeting of 'creatures in the area' that the spell has more than anything else).

Correct. And I wouldn't count on anything official being said, because it might leave them in a precarious legal position. But they've given us the codes to remaster any pre-existing golem:
1. Remove Golem antimagic.
Add damage resistance to spells (except for whatever magic harmed the original golem) equal to the golem's physical resistance.
