Restorative strike

Rules Discussion

Just some clarification the last part of the feat states "If the strike hits, you can target a second willing creature to heal the same amount from the spell". So does that mean whatever I healed myself from the spell I heal an ally and it doesn't require using an additional Heal spell?

Correct. You basically get two 1 action heals for the price of one - IF your Strike hits.

Sounds like a great feat!

It is. Still a bit situational. To get the full benefit, you need to be injured yourself and you need an ally who is also injured adjacent to your target and you need to actually hit. But if that happens (and frankly, it's not terribly unlikely to come up), the feat is quite good. The fact that it allows you to heal yourself without triggering Reactive Strikes is also very good.

Would you recommend True Striking to ensure the Restorative Strike strikes true? If not, what if I was hasted would it be ok then?

You shouldn't need it, its nice to have but you should pretty much always be at +3 to hit from restorative strike's bonus and flanking with the other person you are trying to heal.

I would also note that it specifies using a 1-action Heal/Harm to heal yourself with. So you would be doing more overall healing just casting the 2-action Heal on either yourself or your ally. You wouldn't get the Strike though.

So... Yes, pretty good, but situational.
